   The 1600 Bar & Grill is located on the ground floor of the Hilton Americas, which we stay at once a year to attend Comicpalooza. We always eat here for dinner at least once as we enjoy the food and are always delighted to see team members that we recognize from prior trips. Our server, Leticia, although relatively new to this hotel, was absolutely fabulous and made us feel very welcome. She was friendly, attentive, and had a wonderful laugh. She made us feel at home. Kudos to the back of the house for a delicious meal. The grilled vegetables, which we substituted for fries, were outstanding. The burger was excellent and flavorful. After a busy day at Comicpalooza, this was a wonderful way to unwind while enjoying a good meal and a nice bottle of wine. Welcome aboard, Leticia! We hope to see you and your fellow teams members next year when we return. A final shout out to the restaurant manager who leads this outstanding team. You are all a credit to the Hilton family.    I would have given it 5 stars except it didn’t have a carving station in my opinion that’s a big part of having a great holiday brunch buffet. Your servers were polite, courteous and prompt. Pleasant surprise to have mimosas included. Food was good I would go back again

   This was about the worst meal I’ve ever had. Ordered the Reuben panini and it was cold and cheese not even melted. Husband had the burger which he said was fine. Ordered dessert and the ice cream served with sticky toffee pudding was frozen so hard couldn’t even cut it with a knife and fork. Pudding was basically like a piece of cold muffin. It is a shame that an upscale Hilton has such a bad restaurant. Hate to leave such a bad review but for a meal that cost over $80 for two sandwiches and two desserts, felt like it should have been much better. At least the service and setting were good.

   When I was searching for restaurants in the downtown Houston area, I didn't really realize that this one was in the Hilton, so basically it was a hotel restaurant. It ended up being a nice place for lunch while we were exploring the NCAA atmosphere. They had a couple of specials on the board as we walked in and we both got that. Excellent BBQ sandwich. Not sure if I would eat here again on another visit, but it was a good one-time stop.

   This is a nice idea, with a nice menu marred by comically terrible service. I ordered at 6:30 and told the waitress I was in a hurry and had to go to a concert next door at 7:30. At 7:25 my food arrived totally cold. Like, cold cold. They need to start all over.

   Poor service, took forever to place order, then wrong salad was bought ! Salad average quality; pizza was way too salty and Pizza Hut quality for $20! Got the wrong bill from neighbor table! Refills of water took forever Sorry; won’t be back!

    We ate brunch there because we wanted to sleep in and not eat till dinner that night. I ordered from the menu but my husband wanted the buffet so he could get an omelet. There was no one there to make omelet! He was very disappointed because the price of the buffet was very high. The service was good. It was just disappointing to not get what was advertised.

    The service and customer appreciation was fantastic. The food had its pluses and minuses but it was a buffet so as for a buffet it was good. But our greatest enjoyment was having the wait staff and front desk staff treat us like appreciated guests. Thank you 1600 Bar & Grille for making my families Breakfast with Santa memorable and very special.

    * Party of two seniors attended Thanksgiving Buffet. Reservation process was easy as the Restaurant, simply, directed any & all to Open Table. * Hotel comped valet parking with Buffet Reservation & provided a generous $10 Senior discount. * We arrived early & Restaurant staff were able to seat us early * Buffet choices were adequate on both the Breakfast & Lunch offerings * Food was excellent * Service was excellent.

    Very convenient while you are at the hotel. They were short staffed when we were there. There is a odd smell (dirty smell) that is unappetizing. But the sandwich was good.

    We ate there as it was next to Toyota center and we were going to concert. It is located in Hilton and disappointed that open table did not show dinner menu. Service was slow due to large concert crowd and short staff. Staff issue I am sure is related to shortage of workers all around and Covid. Mangers tried to help and they were professional.

    We had a delightful dining experience before the concert at the Toyota Center. We appreciated the buffet option. It gave us a chance to taste many of the items on the menu and made for efficient use of everyone's time to get to the concert.

    Breakfast with Santa Santa is the most adorable Santa, he checks in kids, often in your table, ask them what do they want for Christmas, we took a bunch of pictures & had a good breakfast. The chocolate house is impressive and beautiful love the whole decoration and lights. Service amazing. The only issue is that we wanted to get a drink in the bar after breakfast and was closed I believe they open at 4 pm. Lol but everything was good.

    Had a 9AM Reservation for Breakfast with Santa. Checked in at desk at 8:55 AM. No table available. Had qutie a wait. Was told they were very busy. When finally called to be seated she said we were there early and that's why we had to wait.....so of course it was OUR fault they didn't have a table reserved.

    The Brunch buffet had all of the bases covered including breakfast items and dinner items. The quality and selection of entree and sides were plentiful and delicious. Our Server "Josett" was very friendly, attentive and professional. Overall, the ambiance, food presentation, waitstaff, soft music made for a very relaxing, enjoyable dinner.

    Enjoyed Thanksgiving Buffet at the restaurant. The hotel is beautiful as is the restaurant. For a vegetarian there were still enough selections that I did not go away hungry. The continuous Mimosa refills were satisfactory except they were made with prosecco instead of champagne which was expected. I was also annoyed that there was turkey in the Waldorf Salad, but maybe that's the way it is originally meant to be. I just never had it that way growing up. The only negative part if the experience was the valet parking fee which seems pricey. $50 plus a $10 tip for the driver almost matched the cost of the meal! I would prefer the hotel grind the parking fee into the cost of the buffet like their competitor down the street. You still pay for it, but don't face sticker shock on your way out the door. A disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant experience.

    With a reservation, we wasted an hour at the table and never got served. They were not that busy and never place our order or that was the story. We had to leave to go to the concert. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
