Detailed, friendly, extremely professional service. Tasting menu was a great experience! The meal was very well priced for the value received. Many amuse/lagnaippe courses - including banana bread for the next morning on departure; located in the beautiful Condado Vanderbilt.

Let me begin by saying that I have made the reservation for a Thankgiving dinner menu and was looking forward to dinining at 1919. We have arrive 10 minuts prior to our reservation (a party of 2), and were told that our table is yet to be ready and to return at 8:30pm. At that time I noticed that all tables were set and empty, waiting to be seated. When we came back at 8:30, all other parties waiting in line were seated simultaneously. We had to wait 15 minutes to receive the food menu and asked twice for the wine menu which was only offered to be provided after sitting for 30 minutes waiting for service. The food was overall decent but definitely not worth the price. We waited for a long time to receive our meals and had to dine there for 2 hours. There were too many waitresses serving the same table and the music was too loud to conversate. Lastly, when we received the check, we had to sign for the final amount and add gratituity only to realize that 20% was already included in our bill (even though on the menu it stated that the price does not include tax & gratuity). For such service we would have definitely not paid 20% gratuity

VERY BAD BEWARE, went there for thanksgiving, the service was horrible took 3 hours to get us our food, ended up being almost $300 for tiny portion sizes. I would not suggest going here at all. The food was not that great either, fish broth on thanksgiving bad idea.

After seeing all the sterling reviews I'm wondering if we all ate at the same restaurant. Restaurant was incredibly dark, beyond dim romantic lighting. Had to use cellphone flashlight to read menu. Long wait until anyone came to table, to pour water and bring menu etc. Wine server (obviously not a sommelier) was useless. Wine list on a tablet that we could not peruse, rather she pointed to one or two choices we felt limited. Use of the tablet isn't cool. She seemed annoyed that we were only having wine by the glass and not purchasing a bottle. Amuse bouche was a coconut gazpacho. We took half a sip and it was as salty as seawater, not amusing. Lobster salad for first course nothing special. For the second course we had the Veal Cappellacci, and pappardelle. Note that the menu was not same as shown on website nor were many of the dishes referred to in recent reviews on the menu. Again nothing special very highly salted. The Cappellaccci had pisto beans which were undercooked. For third course we had scallops, and lamb duo. Lots of garbanzo beans on the lamb dish very undercooked. Dessert was the Local Lime Pie Pavlova and the chocolate textures. Lime pie was very good, textures was a dry dense cake. Not the experience we were hoping for!

Located in the beautiful Vanderbilt hotel, the restaurant does not disappoint! Ambiance and service were top notch. I booked our evening to celebrate a special milestone and the team delivered a special desert tray to honor our celebration. Just fantastic!

Incredible experience. Was solo dining and the staff was fantastic from start to finish. The lobster salad was a highlight, but the veal was phenomenal as well. Will have dreams of the bread pudding!

Amazing service. Willing to accommodate and work with you on anything to make your experience a special one. At the end we got a small parting gift (banana bread with pecan) as we were walking out. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely outstanding. My husband and I enjoyed one of the most delicious and relaxing meals of all time. Thank you to the chef, sommelier and servers who made it such a wonderful evening. And the banana bread to take home was over the top!

Where do I begin... this place was by far the best we experienced during our stay in Puerto Rico. The food and service are unmatched.

Although the vegan options weren’t plentiful they curated the most amazing dishes for us. What a way to kickoff my birthday celebration!

1919, in the Condado Vanderbilt, provides a dining experience equal to the finest restaurants in Europe. The 4 course dinner is a must. Each dish is better than the fabulous one before it. This is a leisurely dinning experience at its best.

I was disappointed after having been told extraordinary things about 1919. Is it good—generally so, outstanding, absolutely not. The room feels like a clubby lounge for old rich people and not enough light to read the menu... Maybe people look better, more interesting in this light but I,d like to see the food I m about to eat.
The wine paring—-the cheaper version of two—was very good but our server, would not call this individual a sommelier, after being asked the region of the Spanish wine we were tasting and unable to read the label in the bottle himself because there was not enough light in the room, passed the bottle to me to see if I could. I could not.
The lobster dish I chose for the first course was over-dressed with olive oil, the Dorado served in my third course, sitting over a bed of vegetables, was over-cooked and cold. The chocolate dessert, although tasting richly as it should, was so hard to cut, that pieces flew of the table. and the service, attempted to be pleasant, but felt like it could not not wait to leave the table. I have never seen people fill glasses of water so quickly and disappear.
If you have the money to splurge, go for it. Think twice.

Outstanding service from the moment we arrived. Was our wedding anniversary and the team there made the moment memorable. Waiter Ivan Collazo is the Bible of Service and with his support team the experience was memorable.

Food was delicious. Waiter was very nice but we never received the wine pairing, waited significant amount of time on a drink and didn’t receive one of our courses. For how expensive this restaurant is mistakes like that should not occur.

Do want to reiterate that the food we actually received was very good.

The food was impeccable. The service was anticipatory and operated with the slight of hand, never interrupting, just a seamless transition. The executive chef even came out so we could offer our praises in person. The best meal I have had in over a decade. Job well done! I will definitely be back.

It was a dream come true for Mom as it was he Birthday and the staff from 1919 was responsible for this unforgettable experience. Chef Cuevas came by our table to make sure we were having a spectacular moment. Special thanks to Agustin and IVan, they were excellent. By far 1919 is one of our favorite restaurants.
