We went to several restaurants for dinner in Whistler during our week there. This one was just ok. Not bad, but not great. It's fine to grab a meal, but none of our meals really stood out. They had good drinks! Again, not bad, but had better meals at other places. My only options were if I would recommend yes or no. I chose no, but again, not bad, but would go somewhere else if limited amount of time.
We were rushed through dinner. 6 of us in the party felt like they were trying to get us out in an hour. Appetizers arrived before drinks.
Great meal with friends - the goats cheese appetizer and the cookie and ice cream desert were excellent - will visit again!
Return customers after our first visit two years ago. Everything we have had, we thoroughly enjoyed. Had a short wait before being seated both times, but nothing that we felt was unreasonable. The food is fresh and delicious. I enjoyed a gluten free version of the pork broccoli and mushroom pasta-it was excellent. And the waiter who brought my food out reiterated it was in fact the GF pasta I was being served. My husband and daughter enjoyed a kale Caesar salad and a chicken sandwich. Always on our list when we return to Whistler!
Service was great and the host worked hard to get our party of 7 seated with no reservation. They have larger tables for seating larger groups. Food was great!
We had some wonderful meals during our Whistler vacation and 21 Steps was certainly one of the very best. The service was exceptional - no idea how they serve such great food at such a pace. Not rushed but certainly not tardy either. Wonderfully fresh flavoursome food.
This was our second time here. The food was not good at all (my lamb was burned on the outside and very rare on the inside - I had asked for medium rare) but I’d return and order something else next time. Could have been an off night. Service was great!
The service was amazingly attentive and friendly!
Great service with excellent combinations of food choices. Lamb was perfectly season and served as ordered. Another great meal in the winter cold.
Love the atmosphere sitting with apps and cocktails. Bar staff are fabulous, great conversation and hand tailored cocktails
This is a must-go-to dining destination in Whistler Village. First, the drink menu is wonderful and the wine list is great. The food is hearty and complete, perfect for dinner after a day of skiing. My favorite is the B.C. Salmon. My dining partners lived the Filet Mignon and the lamb.
Good food, great service but beware the window tables- you get a good view but it is cold, take an extra layer.
We ordered rib eye steak and Australian lamb chops both in medium rare. The surface of the meats were all burnt. The server told us that it should have the charcoal flavour which is true but not to an extent where it was in edible condition. Please clean your grills accordingly to your food safety plan to avoid having your delicious meats in burnt condition.
The atmosphere is quite loud at times and we had dinner early at 5:30pm. Hard to hear the person across the table from yourself.
Outstanding food. We had a nice table for 2 by the window overlooking the village. I have the BC wild salmon and it was wonderful. My husband had the pasta with sausage and mushrooms. Also delicious, especially the wine glazed whole mushrooms. Yum. Book early to get a table here. It is very popular.
The restaurant is ok, food is just par, nothing to rave about, nothing horrible. Great for after ski day filling meal, price is ok for the large portions. Comfort food, not fine dining. The wine selection is limited.
No music which made it kind of ackward and boring. Food and service was fantastic as always!
An amazing place at a great value. The restaurant was packed when we arrived just before 6:00PM. The staff showed great cooperation and worked really well together. The rib appetizer was 'fingerlicking' good. We also enjoyed the kale Caesar salad, the pappardelle with pork shoulder and the small key lime phyllo desert.
4th time or so at 21 Steps. Always amazing. Great service, friendly, good suggestions and casual ambiance. Food is always amazing. A tiny bit loud but that's due to the lovely high vaulted ceilings. Top notch quality food, great flavours, simple and very very tasty. I recommend 21 Steps to anyone heading up to Whistler. Special events or not I make sure they know 21 Steps is a place to enjoy great eats at a reasonable cost for the quality. Great wine list also. Thanks. I'll remain a repeat guest.
Came here for my boyfriends 30th birthday and we had such an amazing night thanks to our server and the amazing cooks
Always a pleasure! Everything perfect. Pacing / knowledge/ appropriate amount of attention. Excellent food and wine!
Amazing food and very good value for money! The rib eye was exceptional and the kids meals are very high quality. This has been by far our best dining experience in Whistler!
A great meal with very good service, I would happily dine there again with friends and family and we are looking forward to our next visit
Great location and the food was very good. We did have to send back one pasta dish because it was not hot but they took care of it promptly. Service was great and the beer was cold! I would recommend reservations as the place was packed with a waiting line.
I've been vacationing in Whistler for decades. Typically I stay in my timeshare so I have access to a kitchen which is fortunate because most of the restaurants in the Village are quite expensive with so so food. 21 Steps in an exception and it has become our "go to" restaurant when we prefer not to cook. The ambiance is quite nice and if you are seated near a window you have an excellent view of the Whistler stroll. The service always is good as is the food. While not inexpensive (after all you are in a very upscale ski resort), the food is worth the price. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Almost every dish had the same broccoli which was soggy. The rest of the main course was ok but not as good as some of the other restaurants at similar price points in town. The tiger shrimp were miniscule and the waitress kept refilling our waters every few minutes but never asked or refilled our other drinks. Overall the experience was quite underwhelming.
The only annoying thing was that we were a table of 5 but already added 18% gratuity but on the menu it stated it that its automatically added for 6 or more people so were shocked to see they added it to our bill.
Ate here 2 nights in a row it was so good. We had the same waitress both nights and she was efficient friendly and patient.
Have always enjoyed eating here when in Whistler and happy to know our family feel the same. Can not recommend enough
An extensive menu and all meals were excellent
Great service with nothing to fault.
Precisely what was required for a family meal.
great dinner as always! enjoyed our server (owner) food was great and easy to make a reservation!
We went to 21 Steps twice during our holiday, the first time I made a reservation and we were seated immediately, the second visit we just turned up on the off chance and although they were very busy they found us a table after a 30min wait.
The food here is lovely and the staff are very attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend 21 Steps to anyone, we visited as a family of four with our 2 children and we were all made to feel very welcome.
Great food at 21 Steps. The entrees were outstanding we had lamb and beef.
Dessert was ok. The service was very efficient and friendly. House wine was good value and I would recommend it.
Great service, tasty food... we’ll definitely be back!
Very good food, A little pricey, but good portions and very tasty. A little noisy and cramped, but will definitely go again.
Great food, huge portions:) We’ll be back!
Ordinary food and ordinary service.
The steak was over cooked and very chewy.
Nice place - good service - great food
Unfortunately very disappointing meals. The trout was a little over cooked and a confusion of flavours. The seafood linguine was bland and very short on seafood. So sad as I had booked this restaurant 6 weeks in advance and we had a late booking. I assumed there was going to be amazing food:(
Whistler ski celebration
We hade salmon, Tiger prawn and scallop and meat, all very tasty, best dinner so far in Whistler. The pasta was fine but not more than that.
