We chose 21 steps as a unique dining experience for 2 other couples who had never been to Whistler before; it lived up to the hype we had given it! The food was delicious and presented in a manner to please the eye as well. The menu offers a variety of local items giving the diner the option to choose between many small plates or larger meals. It was mid week and our reservation added to the enjoyment as the place was at capacity. The full house did not prevent the kitchen staff from delivering our food in a nicely timed manner. Service was excellent from beginning to end. The 18% gratuity policy for parties of 6 or more is clearly stated on the menu and our server mentioned it again when she presented our bill; classy! We will definitely be returning to our favourite dining spot in Whistler.
Fun second floor spot to eat and watch the happenings in the village below. Open beamed ceilings make it feel like a huge loft. Food was delicious! Service was prompt but not rushed. Definitely will be a fav spot every time we are back in town.
We walked on time for our reservation and were shown to a high top table which we refused while 2 lower tables were available right next to it. I asked for the regular table and was told that it was reserved. I said ,I too have a reservation. Thus, was given a time limit that we had to vacated it in 1.45 hrs. We couldn’t relax and enjoy our meal.
I will never go there again.
Good food. Large portions. Pasta dish was massive and very tasty. Very quick and attentive service.
The worst service ever wouldn’t recommend going food had no flavour to it. Services are rude. Way to loud inside you can’t even hear the person on the other side of your table trying to talk to you unless your yelling. I would not recommend this place at all
We came for an anniversary and as we were handed the check is the only time we heard - Happy 40th Anniversary. If you're going to ask at time of the reservation, you might as well follow through.
The male greeter kept asking - How you guys doing - "Guys" for a older couple is not how you treat them. It's the small details that break a restaurant.
The food was good but served on cold dishes. When I received my half chicken, the chicken was hot and the sauce and potatoes were cool and getting colder by the minute.
We were teased the day before on how the restaurant looked and thought it would be a great place for our anniversary, it was not the best choice.
Hope you do better with others.
I tried the deep fried goat cheese - amazing. For a main I had the stuffed portobello, really tasty. My friend had th scallops and prawns with rice and coconut sauce it was really good.
We had a window table which made for great people watching. I can’t wait to go back.
Excellent service and food, looking forward to our next visit.
Great service, excellent tasty food, and lovely ambience. Went twice in 5 days. Lived it!
This is one of our "go to" restaurants in Whistler. The ambience is quite present and the staff is appropriately attentive. My wife is a vegetarian and is satisfied with the choices offered, though she would hope that they add more savory dishes to the menu. We dined there this past Sunday. As always the restaurant was full (reservations are a must), but we were seated within minutes of our arrival. The food was good, though we both have had better meals there. The prices are high, though Whistler is a world class destination resort, so the price come as no surprise. All and all I would recommend this restaurant to those visiting Whistler.
Perfect place for watching the great diversity of people and dogs visiting Whistler on a busy holiday weekend. Food was decent but hardly noteworthy; well-prepared but rather bland-tasting salmon left us wondering if it was farm-raised rather than wild-caught.
Our favorite place for dinner in Whistler with delicious food. Our first time with our kids and there was a children's menu which relived some stress. We recommed a reservation for dinner.
Very loud. Upper bar level is very stuffy. They cram a lot of tables in so it's hard to get around. Service is average. Food was good. Seems to have gone downhill over the last three years. Great cocktails but not attentive service when you dine at the bar.
Was there celebrating our engagement and although we wrote that in our comments, nobody addressed it, etc.
Good food -great server - made a reso and they were ready for us
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The owners are engaged and very friendly.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.. server was great and not only listened but carried out our requests .. We wanted a break between courses and we get them.. unlike many other of our dining experiences... Good food at very reasonable prices..
Our waiter was amazing. My sides that came with my Main were cold, but overall everything was good.
Our favourite re
We went to 21 Steps for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we were SO incredibly happy with the food & service we received. We started our dinner off with a bottle of sparkling wine and the Fried Goat Cheese with caramelized onion and rosemary infused honey. That really set the tone for the evening. As soon as the POP went off, we were having a great time. The Fried Goat Cheese was an explosion of flavour. Highly recommend you try it.
I had the STUFFED PORK SCHNITZEL with ham, arugula, apple and cheese blend. I don’t often eat Schnitzel, but when I do, it will be at this place. Oh my gosh it was delicious.
My husband had the RIBEYE STEAK 12OZ with chipotle garlic butter and crispy onions. While the steak was cooked a bit more “well” than he would normally order, he was NOT AT ALL disappointed. In fact, he didn’t even notice until he was nearly done devouring his steak. It was amazing.
Thank you 21 Steps for making this anniversary even better with the amazing meal. We will definitely be back soon.
Our meal was super fast and great. Service was awesome!
Excellent service and great food, enjoyed the atmosphere while here on a couples vacation. Had the rib appetizer, chicken and salmon, plus a yummy brownie dessert. Everything was well prepared. Vibrant scene, upstairs restaurant.
It was a first time to Whistler with my family. That is delicious food and dessert for us.
Great table, great food! We were celebrating a birthday and we got the best seats with the best views!
Great menu. Great service. We have been there three times now and always enjoy it!
Food was amazing, service was wonderful...highly recommend!
The food was great but the server we had was not. She was rude and condescending. You could tell she did not want to serve us. She was obviously annoyed about us wanting water. Refused to separate our bill. There was 6 of us.
Excellent starters. Try the Pork spareribs and the fried goat cheese appetizers. Desserts are also terrific. Overall, a great dining experience in Whistler.
We had a great table overlooking Whistler Village . The only negative was that there was no BC Wine offered. We should be highlighting our wines , no Canadian wines at all.
Great service and excellent food as always.
There’s not many places anymore that aren’t short staffed. Every person we encountered was cheerful and helpful . Our server was very personable and the food and drink came very quickly and was delicious ! We didn’t feel rushed ... but we probably would have had more drinks if they hadn’t been so efficient !
Have heard great things about this place but was a little disappointed. Salmon cakes were dense and dry. Server was rather rushed as he was covering multiple tables. Would give this place a go again and try other dishes. People I was with liked the short rib and prawn/scallop dish.
Great location in Whistler Village. Came here for our anniversary and the team was more than accommodating. Thank you!
We came here on a Saturday night for a nicer dinner. Made reservations at about 3pm for 5:45. We wanted to sit next to a window so we wanted to go a little earlier. Ordered steaks, one with Chipotle butter, one with garlic. Both were great. Food came out crazy quick. Seemed like less than 10 minutes. Drinks were great too. We'll be coming back next time we're in town.
We love tapas and it was delicious. It never disappoints but we wish they have more.
The one place we must eat every time we come to Whister
Great food and great service. Casual atmosphere and great location.
21 Steps was delicious! The atmosphere was great and it was an overall good experience.
The braised pork belly and Korean ribs were amazing.
