We are super fans of 211 Clover. It is the best restaurant in Louisville. The new outdoor seating area is a fabulous addition to an already fabulous restaurant. The wait staff is spot-on with service and as friendly as they come. And the noise level is very low - a great place to eat a wonderful meal and to carry on a conversation. A+ recommendation!

Quiant dinner setting in what appeared to be an old house. The outside patio is nice with plants and large trees. Food and service was good. Old Fashioned was large and strong, as it should be!

Service was outstanding! Food was excellent, but the shrimp was somewhat overcooked for my taste. Next time I will ask that it be medium rare. Everything else was outstanding.

This restaurant is so beautiful and from the moment we got there we were disappointed. We were seated at a small two seat table next to a wall even though several 4 top tables were available, but we didn’t say anything as we assumed the restaurant had reservations for those tables which never got filled. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had the house salad, halibut and salmon entrees. The fish was cooked perfect and finished with a delicious slice of strawberry cake. Service was horrible even though we saw several workers our table was ignored unless we flagged a server. Menus were dropped then it would be 10 minutes before server came back. Such a disappointment as we were well dressed celebrating a special night and felt like second class customers.

Lovely outdoor area & food was good. Service needs improvement…..we waited a very long time for a waiter to come to our table once seated. Then waited a long time for drinks to come out. Had to call for the waiter to refill water & then had to ask again for our checks…..

Not their best showing but will give it one more chance. We have been to 211 several times over the last few months. They, like many other restaurants are struggling with the labor market. The servers were all new and did not make a good impression. Their focus was how much water was in our glass. It took quite a while to get a wine list and then the wine. The food was good, however, my filet was over cooked. It was too late in the night to send it back. The bill was presented while we both had food and wine left. 211 has been a staple in Louisville and just had a bad night. We will be back.

Have I ever, in the 30 years since Elaine Bordogna opened it and the 22 years since Andrew Smith took it over, had a meal less than exceptional at Clover Lane, in a less-than-exceptional environment? I have not. This evening was just as marvelous as all the others.

We come here often, 3 Times a month. My wife & I brought our 30 year old twin daughters with us to celebrate my birthday, they came in from out of town for a week to celebrate my Birthday. The food is always outstanding and very well prepared. Sometime they have glitches in the service, or menu issue but the restaurant, staff and Food more than offsets the little glitches that happen ever now and then, its a very nice place and the staff is always very helpful. My wife and i are coming back this week to dine in the outside courtyard, it was 100 degrees when we were there last week but this week the weather should be perfect. If you have never been here its a must try! You will not be disappointed!!

This restaurant has so much charm. It’s a quaint spot nestled in among other businesses. There was nice music playing and just a few other diners when we arrived for lunch. Our orders were prepared well and our server was excellent. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch at 211 Clover Lane. The food was delicious as always. Their atmosphere is unrivaled and service is very attentive but not intrusive. It is easy to carry on a conversation as the tables are well spaced and the music is background music and not something that has to be talked over. We ate indoors but I look forward to using the beautiful renovated patio area this fall.

It was a lovely evening! I went with my college roommates to celebrate my birthday. We sat in the beautiful outdoor area and shared a bottle of wine. Our dinners were fabulous, and we shared a delicious dessert. Luckily for the establishment, it started to rain or else we might’ve stayed there all night! I would highly recommend this place. I’m hoping to return there very soon.

The food was very delicious for all courses (crab cake, diver scallops, Bolognese, and chocolate pot de creme). We were sat at a table with a window view of the garden which was lovely. We had an early reservation so the restaurant was mostly empty. There was some music playing in the background but at a reasonable level. The tables are somewhat close together so as soon as we had a table sat near us, it was a little hard/awkward to carry on conversation. However, that's not what drove the two-star rating. Our glassware was very dirty - debris floating in the water glasses, leftover lipstick stains on wine glasses, new glasses we requested were equally dirty. I was very surprised to hear they didn't offer a cocktail menu despite the full bar. The service also left much to be desired. No recommendations given, didn't ask if we had been before or had questions on the menu. We also had completely finished our appetizer before our dinner order was taken (and not because we were still deciding). I don't mind paying a high end price for quality food and exceptional service, but unfortunately this left us disappointed.
