The risotto croquette was amazing. We loved Namir's service. My steak initially came medium well and Namir was Johnny on the spot to get it corrected. The food was excellent and I was able to have great conversation and not strain to hear.

Stayed at the Westin Book Cadillac on Easter Weekend and had many venues to choose from for Easter Brunch, but many of the places we were considering had rather limited menus and hardly any descriptions of the offerings in the cases of buffets. Those that did do a good job by posting a lot of details were rather overpriced considering the lack of beverage inclusion. We elected to avoid having to deal with transportation and just stay on the property and were pleasantly surprised at both the reasonable price per person, the impressive variety of offerings, AND the bottomless mimosas included in Easter Brunch at 24Grille. They had a fine lineup of the usual stuff, pastries, lox, fruit, different breakfast meats, potatoes, grits, gravy, biscuits, accompanied by chefs cooking omelets to order. What I was really happy to also find was chilled seafood, fried chicken & waffles, and creole shrimp & rice. Service was very attentive, I don't think my mimosa glass ever got below half-full, and the staff still accommodated the beverage deal using grapefruit juice for my guest's mimosas. The Book Cadillac is my go-to when staying in Detroit and this was the first time I had even dined at 24Grille. Great first impression.
Took a long time to get food
Birthday celebration. Seated immediately upon arrival with reservation. Food was good. Some items seemed over priced, such as a scoop of ice cream cost $6.00.

Went for Detroit Restaurant week. Food and portions were good although the menu stated mushroom and asparagus risotto and spinach risotto came out. It was still delicious but not what was expected.

Had the fried lobster tail was pretty good . Gumbo was pretty tasty, the risotto was excellent..only thing I didn't like was being unable to split bill with a party of 6
Service was lackluster. Long delays in seeing our server, and restaurant was not busy. He seemed less interested in us when we didn’t want to follow his wine suggestions for the Restaurant Week menu. Gratuity of 20% added to the bill for our table of 6. Six people can add tip to the bill, and the service was not great.
Indy restaurant week: enjoyed the $39 three course meal of salad, trout and bread pudding. Sat at the bar and service was great!
We visited for Detroit Restaurant week with another couple of friends. Everything on the special menus we order was fantastic from the salads to the entrees to the desserts. The taste and quality of the food was top notch. We all agreed we will be back.
This is our 2nd time visiting 24Grille for lunch and we were very pleased again. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food, always delicious and a wonderful selection. A special thanks to the gentleman preparing omelettes, as he went out of the way to ask my husband a couple of questions, and he prepared one that my husband really enjoyed. We highly recommend 24Grille and will certainly be back.
We went to 24Grille for pre-theatre dining, so we had an earlier reservation than normal (for us). That said, we were surprised to find the restaurant thoroughly packed. We quickly found out that it was "Restaurant Week" in Detroit, and we wish we had known the impact that would have on our experience.
The Restaurant Week promotion featured a 3-course prix fixe meal. Though that provided a financial incentive, everything else was a disincentive. The meal choices were very limited. The service staff was pleasant, but very over-worked. As a result, there were lots of "misses" in their service.
In short: it was relatively difficult to get a cocktail, we were unable to get any bread (despite multiple requests), one of our four entrees was incorrect, they were lacking our wine selection, and they got the pricing wrong for the replacement wine. In a bizarre twist, the restaurant cancelled our reservation (through Open Table) after we were already seated. Even though I asked the restaurant about that by email, I have not received a reply.
To be fair, our server tried very hard. He provided wine suggestions for our entrees, and made suggestions about the choices on the (very limited) menu. He was obviously trying to please everyone, despite the packed restaurant.
It is possible that most of this experience was the result of the Restaurant Week promotion, the purpose of which is to help diners become acquainted with area restaurants. However, I'm not sure that 24Grille really showed our party all of their capabilities.
The worst food ever! it was restaurant week and they served the worst food! The food took forever to come out and they weren’t even busy or crowded! The staff was standing around for the most part. there was no other options except the restaurant week menu which again was absolutely terrible! they should not be allowed to participate in restaurant week next year and the portion sizes where ridiculous as hell! .. only decent thing was the drinks the bartender made and she had a terrible attitude! I have been to 24 grille time after time but I won’t go back again .
My waiter I believe his name is Big Z or Z well he is the best food was great although the restaurant ran out of cocktail sauce :( but overall it was great!! My birthday brunch eas amazing! :)
We had reservations after the Charity Preview at the Auto Show , thinking we would try out the 24 Grille after we had checked out the menu online. When we arrived, we were told there was a special limited menu with ONLY $35 Appetizers ( none of which we cared for) and $135 Main Course Meals (nothing worth half that) . I can afford anything I choose, but I will not be robbed with a smile. Exit, stage left and See ya!
Terrible!! Made a reservation on auto show preview night and when we showed up we were told they changed to a set menu- $120/person and they had no apologies or options. We could not get into anywhere else around Detroit.
The place was less than half full on a Friday lunch hour. Our server was fairly attentive except that salt and ketchup that had been requested arrived well after the fries were cold. They were out of the sausage gumbo. Enjoyed the Risotto Croquettes and Steak Bites which were both well flavored. The Bellini was well blended but not generous. The Bananas Foster cheesecake was a standard cheesecake attractively dressed with Foster and chocolate sauce and real whipped cream but a sorry, overly cooked piece of banana. Would not go out of my way to go there again. Good, not special.
Some people fear downtown Detroit, but I have never been robbed there.
That is, until I visited the 24Grille.
I made reservations for 8 people for New Years Eve, and, as I do every year, I pick a new location that no one has been to. This year, the menu for the 24Grille looked interesting, and I made reservations a few months in advance.
On arrival, I was surprised to find this place that seemed to be selling itself as fine dining was little more than a hotel bar that serves upscale food. What surprised me more, that I received no information about ahead of time, was that the regular menu was gone for the night, and a special menu that included wine pairings with each of the courses, the waiter told us several times, was in place and was $125 per person.
Immediately, upon arrival, the bill will be $1000.
Of course, the wine pairing made the one person in the group who likes wine happy. Of course, he just had one glass. A few others took a glass or champagne because it was included.
The salads were...salads. A salad. Nothing special. A salad.
The service was mediocre. I had to get a rolled up set of utensils from another table. After 7 of the 8 entrees arrived, our smiling waiter asked if there was anything else he could get us. I suggested the last entree. He looked shocked and went back to the kitchen, and 10 minutes or so later returned with the final main course.
The food was good. Not great, but certainly tasty.
Dessert came out and was fine. My chocolate cake reminded me of the chocolate cake at Red Lobster.
When the bill came, the charges were $1260. The reason? The pre-added a very generous 20% tip, especially for the level of service, and taxes were NOT included in the set price. Surprise!
I'm not blindsiding them with this review. I wrote to them, and received not even a note they received my concerns. Apathy.
So, next year I will search again for the best restaurant in Detroit. 24Grille is not even the best in its own building. (Go to Roast instead)
It was half off bottles of wine night. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great! Attentive and friendly.
A busy Christmas weekend, but staff were attentive and prompt.
Food was excellent quality, and good variety to suit different ages in our family group.
A little bit noisy, but that’s to be expected in the bar.
The drinks were delicious, soups were unique and good, service was good but main entrees did not meet expectations especially considering prices.
Food was great and service was fantastic! Made our kiddo comfortable.
We were downtown for the weekend and chose to have brunch at 24Grille, which was our first time dining here; we have nothing but rave reviews! Starting with the service, the servers were amazingly attentive & very engaging, they helped create an entertaining environment which is part of the reason for us selecting this restaurant as a fun place, thank you all! The food presentation and variety was exceptional, Mimosa's delicious and well balanced (when ordering the "endless"they are not kidding!), we enjoyed the coffee, which was served in a glass mug (smile). The place was clean, beautiful fresh flowers on the tables and great music was playing. We are looking forward to trying them for dinner and if it is as good as what we have already experienced, it will remain on our "go to" list of places to dine and support.
Located in the Westin Book Cadillac hotel, we dined here last minute with family while visiting downtown later in the evening. Overall we had a good time. The kids enjoyed the Caesar Salad with Chicken Pot Pie soup and were full. We enjoyed the Steak Bites, Lollipop Lamb Chops, and a Spinach Salad. All the food was delicious and full of flavor. We also sampled the seasonal desert which was a Sweet Potato Pie Cheesecake with Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream.
The hostess was missing for nearly 15 minutes upon our arrival and among approximately 10-15 people waiting to be seated, we badgered to be seated 15 minutes after our reservation time. The staff was pleasant, but service was extremely slow. Probably not too bad if you wanted a leisurely dinner, however, we were pressed for time and waiting 5+ minutes for drinks and a check seemed excessive.
We were seated at a high-top with a speaker mounted over our head with hip-hop/dance/techno style music playing making conversation labored as well.
I'd return, but felt my experience more suited to a group of friends out for the evening.
We decided to go there after the Detroit Lions game, we were guests at the hotel. Nothing special stood out there, view of the streets from the window. Ordered 2 hamburgers, they came with French fry’s. We also had 2 draft beers each, @ $7.50 each. Each hamburger was tasty, at $21 each would think no less, not worth the $21. We decided if were to spend that type of coin, go to the Roast, also in the hotel.
I sat down at a high top facing the bar and was waited on almost immediately. I ordered the sea bass with rice. Another server brought out my food but I was never visited by my original waiter and asked how my meal was. I was watching him, trying to get his attention to ask for salt and pepper, but he was too busy socializeing with the other waiter and kitchen staff. I felt neglected and never got the salt. The sea bass was cooked well but the rice was too wet and their was too much balsamic poured over the entire plate. I wanted to send the rice back but again, couldn’t get the attention of my waiter. When I finally finished my meal (didn’t eat the runny rice), he finally came over to clear my plate. He never asked how I liked it. Clearly the staff needs some training.
Great After Work venue. Good service, excellent drinks.
The restaurant is attached to a hotel, so the atmosphere was a little different due to that reason. The wait staff could have been more attentive. The parking was terrible. There is valet out in front, but it is not for the restaurant. We had to park in a structure next door on the 8th floor.
Mediocre food, atrocious service. Nearly 80 minutes between ordering and food arrival for sandwiches and a single burger. Would not recommend, expect to survive based solely on access to pool of unknowing hotel victims.
Filet with mashed potatoes was excellent! Nice waiter and enjoyed the ambiance.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was ok. Server was nice but not particularly skilled. I had the lobster tails which were very good. My wife had the chicken which she enjoyed.

Omelette was delicious. Service was horrendous. We sat for more than 30 minutes with only water. Finally the waiter came over and asked if everything was okay. I said that it was not. We would like some coffee. It took another 10 minutes to get the coffee. I had to call a manager to get a second cup. It was a Sunday brunch and a 20% service fee was automatically added to the bill. So the waiter had no incentive to do anything and he didn’t. I spent in excess of $100 for a breakfast that was not very pleasant. I would not go here again.
