We made a last minute reservation for 20 and were very happy with what we got. The environment was great, I loved the cocktails and service was 10/10.
We have been going to 2nd Ave Grill for a few years now and it is a favorite place of ours. The food, service and ambiance are all top notch.
Experience was ok My spouse had the steak and lobster on Valentines. Lobster tail was excellent except for the steak, it was very tough and was unable to finish it.
i ordered Steak and shrimp, shrimps were good but the steak was very tough to chew. the appetizer of dry ribs was very tasty and I will order again.
The food and service was outstanding as always. I ordered the maple soy salmon and was a bit worried it would be too sweet or too salty (I know, picky right?) but the flavours were so subtle, just perfectly balanced. I don't know how they get their salmon so juicy and just the right texture, as I cook it myself and rarely get it half as nice, and when I order it in other restaurants, it's always dry.
We are done going to the other high end restaurants in town. We used to go to 2nd Ave just to celebrate but the last time we went somewhere just for a couple beer, a burger and poutine, we were sad when the bill came! We were like, "Man! We could have gone to 2nd Ave Grill for this price and eaten a gorgeous meal!"
The steak with lettuce and bread wrap was uncooked and hard to chew.
I don’t think you should call yourself one of the top gluten free restaurants in Saskatoon. I couldn’t believe that even your fries weren’t safe. The steak sandwich ( minus extra $3.50 for gluten free bun) was a sparse plate for the price. Thanks for the salad with oil and lemon juice tho. Nice service. I won’t be back tho. A pub is always reliable
Amazing staff and amazing food. First time visitors and were not disappointed at all.
Food was very good with a great selection on the menu. Tough decision had to be made once the special of the day was introduced to me. I asked a few questions which were answered to my satisfaction. The server was Heddy and she was wonderful to talk with and her service was top notch.
Looking forward to come back in near future
Our waitress was amazing. Very efficient and went out of her way to meet our needs. The food was excellent and we’d definitely go back the next time we’re in the ‘toon
Loved the Christmas Caroling over the mid day meal.
Server thorough, efficient, courteous, exemplary; say no more
Good place to eat, our server was very polite and friendly. Will definitely eat there again.
Great meal, nice quiet atmosphere. I will use the free underground parking next time, it's a great extra
Wonderful service and excellent food!
Always a great experience. Great food, great atmosphere. Thx Heady!
Birthday supper w family
Suprise 60th birthday party for me. Everyone looked after us so well. It’s our favorite place to go.
Heddyour server was fantastic as always! Great food with great service. Can’t ask for more than that.
My husband and I get together with our best friends from Saskatoon three or four times a year and decided to try something new - this was my first visit to 2nd Avenue Grill. I immediately liked the atmosphere, it was warm, nicely lit and inviting. We were accompanied to a booth which was very roomy and comfortable and our waitress came to the table promptly with menus and water. The meal was excellent, as was the service, and we had a very enjoyable evening. Five stars - we will definitely dine there again.
Went out for dinner before a show at TCU Place. They were conscious of the fact that we had somewhere to be. Service was good. Food was delicious. Location was ideal.
The Brie with saskatoons was very nice. The mushroom soup was good albeit a bit salty. The shrimp and scallops scampi was quite sweet and not to my taste. The server comped it, as I was unable to eat it. Their creme brûlée was very good. All in all it was satisfactory, including their response to my complaint about the entree.
Nice and quiet
Great spot! Good food, but a little pricey. We had excellent service and loved the environment.
Ambiance was limited, food was very basic. Overall very dissatisfied. Server was great though
always a great meal at 2nd Ave1 Never disappoints and we like the location as well.
Loved the atmosphere! Food and service were both amazing! We will definitely be coming back soon
Service was great! Unfortunately my lobster was a little over cooked and my steak was a little cold - but the other meals were great! Will go back again anytime.
As always 2nd Ave Grill does not disappoint. Service was excellent as was food. Can't beat their location.
Fantastic atmosphere and the service was outstanding. One party’s meal was not what she figured it would be but no complaints. I would recommend and I will attend again in the future.
Server was excellent. Server very friendly. Food would not bring me back. Mediocre at best.
Service was attentive and very good. Pleasant ambiance. Food was...uneven. The mushroom and chicken soup was superb, as was the avocado crab dip. But the shaved prime rib sandwich, turkey club, and jambalaya were all bland and disappointing. Sweet tea was shameful (coming from the south) - tasted like it came from a powdered drink mix. Prices were a bit on the high side, particularly for entrees, and especially for that neighborhood. Dinner for 3 (2 sandwich selections and jambalaya) came to about $100 CAD ($80 US) with no alcoholic drinks. Not a great value for the price, in my opinion.
2nd Ave Grill has the best service and food in Saskatoon. I have introduced many family and friends to this restaurant and it has soon become their favourite place to go as well. Highly recommend!
Loved we could book a reservation on the go. Loved we were sold by the menu accessible on line. Loved the easy location. Loved we had a wonderful waitress. Appetizers and cocktails were so good. All made in house. Dinner was displayed beautifully. Flavours were so good and there was no shortage of a meal. The plate was full. Dessert was simple and yet so tasty. I have already recommended to friends. Mention to total strangers and they couldn't believe how long it had been since they had been. They definitely have a reminder sitting in the back of their minds now. We will most definitely be back when we are visiting Saskatoon. Wonderful way to spend our money on our Anniversary dinner. By the way, the meal we ate was very well priced as well.
Excellent steak done exactly as we asked. Cozy dark room and booth.
Good service, good food.
Very good food for price. Exceptional service. Will recommend to friends and family.
Ud recommend it til them but with telling them its pricey. Little too pricey for me. A differ for 4 shouldn't cost $300
