Nice ambiance and great server attention. Misto appetizer was good. Salmon was dry and more overcooked the farther you went into it. Garganelli was adequate. The spot works if you are in the area and want to go to the theater nearby.

What a perfect choice! We were so pleased with our experience at 312 Chicago from a warm, friendly greeting when we arrived, to an enthusiastic welcome from the chef, to the pleasure of being served by Robert, and to the enjoyment of delicious food. Special treatment due to our celebrating a birthday included a surprise appetizer as well as a delightful dessert of tiramisu (including candle!). We would return in a heartbeat and recommend this restaurant whole heartedly.

Enjoyed our lunch! However, please update the parking information regarding the restaurant. We attempted to park valet at the Allegro hotel, and we were informed that they no longer provide that service. Thanks!

Came here for pre-theatre dining. Service was good, although drinks and food took a long time. Food was tasty. The entrees took almost 40 minutes to arrive which seems excessive. Also, it was not crowded at all. Entire second floor was closed. Also, there was an awful smell in the bar area, never seemed to go away. Very unpleasant. Perhaps something burned or someone was ill, but it was awful. Overall, it definitely feels over-priced for the meal we experienced but that's Chicago, perhaps.

Chicken Limone was dry and portion was skimpy for the price. Service wasn't top notch for a restaurant of this caliber. Had to repeatedly ask for things. Lemon Drop martini was delicious, but after looking at the Happy Hour menu, I realized I was paying double for them just before Happy Hour! I won't be back nor will I recommend this place.

My entree was delicious, but overall it was not a great experience. I asked about a bread dish, and I was told they were out of it. My wife ordered a non-alcoholic specialty drink, and she was told they were out of it. It was before 1pm, and they had a very limited menu. For those two reasons, they should not be out of anything! I really wanted to like this restaurant because it is right next door to the Cadillac Palace Theater.

We've been to 312 Chicago many times over the years. It does not disappoint. The food is great. Service is excellent. The servers always have wonderful recommendations. It's great for a pre-dinner show, a special date night, or just a low key dinner while downtown.

312 was a pre-Covid go to for theatre dining so we were very happy to see them up and running again. The menu has changed and includes nice choices with a good value for the cost. The chairs and booths have changed but that is the extent of the remodel that is visible. The booths are extremely uncomfortable, with the back of the booth having a weird lumbar support. We had the grilled burrata app - it was good with interesting flavors a major bummer was that the focaccia bread tasted stale. For mains the steak (bisteca) and salmon were both excellent, very well cooked with tasty sauces and sides. There are many dessert choices, we went with the goat cheese-cheesecake and chocolate cake. The cheesecake had an excellent cheese and honey flavor but the crust was super tough, could barely cut it so we just ate the filling. The chocolate cake had a lot of promise but seemed to be 2nd or 3rd day refrigerated so it did not taste fresh. Cocktail and wine offerings are plentiful and include something for everyone, thumbs up on the negroni. Our server, Robert was excellent. He provided great suggestions and was very attentive, even though the restaurant was full/busy.

Great dining if you’re going to a show at the Cadillac palace! Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. New appetizer of breaded burrata with a confit of cherry tomatoes, pine nuts and pesto oil on focaccia - delish!!

Very disappointed. Dinner menu had just a few choices. It all fit on a single page. One would expect they would offer some bread for the table? Nope. You had to place an order for a loaf of bread. I didn't bother to ask how much that was. Asked if we wanted water or sparkling water when we first sat down, I said sparkling water please, and they came back with a bottle enough to fill only three glasses at the table. It cost $10 for that bottle. We used to go there years ago when they were worth going to. I'd never step back into the place again after this experience.

Drink pours are slim to none. Weak martinis and probably a 5 oz pour on wine,... looked more like a "tasting" of wine. Tomato barrata salad with 4 hard slices of tomato from probably a medium sized tomato, (not big heirlooms). Beets on salad were hard, unable to cut. Bolognaise sauce very bland with a huge dollop of sour cream on top!!!??? Expensive for what it is. Salads are 16-17$ for a very small portion.

I was very surprised to learn that there was now an $8.00 cost for bread to be brought to the table. I realize that food costs have gone up and that the place has only recently reopened but $8.00 for bread? I am also not sure about putting the bill in a glass cup. It was different but made it a little awkward in presentation. The food itself was very good and I will give it another chance. I think that there still may be some kinks that need to be worked out.

Food and service was very good but the booths upstairs do not allow enough room with the table. The seats give way a little and then the table is right at your chest. A group of plus size women arrived after us and asked for different accommodations.

The service was fantastic, atmosphere beautiful, but the chicken sandwich was just ok, too much avocado and lettuce that was clearly washed then put on the sandwich wet, creating a chicken sandwich soup or bowl. i had to use a fork. something to think about.
