    We come often to this restaurant, and usually the food is excellent - NOT THIS TIME! We usually order the same thing so we really know the difference. The smoked salmon appetizer did not consist of very nice pieces. The slices had a lot of grey skin which we had to cut away. The surf and turf left a lot to be desired! The shrimp we overcooked, rubbery and the filet mignon was a very small partially tough piece of beef. We asked, as always for medium cooked and it is usually so tender that it can be cut with a fork. NOT THIS TIME! For these prices we can get a lot better elsewhere. Very disappointing this time!!!!!

    Not great value for the money, sides are limited and sauteed spinach was sweet instead of garlicky. Service was ok, table was brutal, in the corner with cold air above and I was literally seated on a heater. Two events were being held-we could have been told beforehand as a host was blaring on a microphone. Lunch has better value than dinner.

    This was our 30th wedding anniversary and as always, we had a wonderful time at the 40 Westt. The food and wine selection is outstanding. Our waiter Sergio was friendly, professional and answered any questions in an informed manner. The Cosmo cocktail was the best I've ever had. While my husband DEVOURED the Surf & Turf with 6 oz Prime Filet Mignon, I feasted on the Seafood Linguini... a literal mountain of succulent seafood with the most gorgeous tomato saffron bisque sauce. This restaurant has been the go-to place for all our special occasions and will continue to be so for many years to come.

    The food was amazing! It was one of the best food we have had in a very long time. Only place of improvement would be the service. The waiter was not very welcoming, and we didn't get the cocktail menue. However the rest of the service was very good, food came out quickly and waiter did respond to our needs.

    Food was excellent as usual The server was genuine and EXCELLENT ! Didn’t get her name. Perhaps have the servers identify themselves by their names when they initially arrive at the table. My 2 cents

    We are regulars and always satisfied with food however this last experience poor Meat not per request medium rare was rare and medium to well done was well done Sides contained excessive garlic Presentation of meat was poor with a well done steak and blood around it

    We were there for an anniversary dinner. We sat in the main dining area as the bar side we find tables are too close together. Its definitely loud in the restaurant. It was pretty busy. Service started off a little disjointed. Took a while to get water and put in a drink order. I will say service started to improve during the evening and seemed to have gotten better. We started with the tuna tataki, which my wife wouldn't be quick to order again. She didn't love it. I had the beef tartare which would have been better served with some type of chip or cracker than the string French fries. We both ordered delmonicos. My came perfect med rare. Her steak did not look nice as it looked skinny and was overcooked. They exchanged it and the 2nd was definitely better and cook on point. They definitely need to work on their spices as it was missing that flavor She asked what was avail for Red cabernet and our waiter jumped away to bring hey a glass rather than share what options there were. At 27.00 for a glass although good we would have preferred to have had an option. To their credit they did offer another glass on the house because she sat waiting gor her food while I was eating. It took about 10-12 minutes We were brought a piece of cake for our anniversary which was nice. They were attentive mid-end of dinner. It's a nice place and you get a vibe, maybe more on the bar side but there is music from a band Saturday night so it gets a little loud. not sure it's worth the amount spent I'm asked if I would recommend. Maybe for a special occasion if your in the west island otherwise Gibbys seems to do a nicer job more affordibly

    Le setup est magnifique, l’ambiance chic et relax à la fois. Bel accueil et service courtois. Moins de suivi vers la fin du repas car nous n’avions pas pris de vin. Huîtres Rockefeller étaient parfaites. Toutefois, les fruits de mer dans le plateau étaient trop cuits ( crevettes, homard) les pinces de crabe étaient gorgées d’eau et ne goûtaient plus rien. Les huîtres n’avaient pas leur jus, elles commençaient à sécher dans la coquille. Une si belle présentation mais gâchée par des erreurs de cuisson et de préparation. La crème caramel éteint parfaite. Une première visite qui me laisse un peu déçue.

    A bit too bright and noisy. Salmon tartare did not have much seasoning or taste. That was a big disappointment. The waiter never came and asked us if everything is good with our food.
