We love having 529 Wellington in the neighborhood where we can walk.
We love the history of this stately home. The service is excellent and the food well worth the experience.

Took my husband here for his first father's day and it was such an amazing, memorable, fine dining experience. The service was incredible, the food was absolute perfection and the vibe was relaxing yet luxurious. Absolutely worth every penny and something I recomend people try at least once. We're already planning another visit for the future.

When to 529 fully excited to once again experience their fine dining experience in their one of a kind ambience.
We started well with the appetizers other that the garlic toast being a little flaccid. Excellent soup,scallops and Caesar salad. The main course lobster left a little to be desired as it arrived rather cold and my wife ate a quarter of one and was questioning it's doneness. The porterhouse was fine, just a lot thinner than the demo they had showed us. Sides were awesome.We ended up bagging 1 and 3/4 lobsters to see if they could be salvaged at home.
Overall, we were a little disappointed, feeling the 529 experience should of left us in a better state of mind for the $300 hit for 2.

This was a beautiful restraunt with a wonderful history. The food was so amazing I can’t put it into words.

Food had wonderful flavour and was cooked perfectly. There is nothing more disappointing then cutting into an improperly cooked steak. But mine was cooked to perfection!

We were disappointed after hearing about other people’s experiences. Our waiter neglected to mention the specials and didn’t offer to show the cuts of meat until we had already ordered. I questioned why the online menu offered a different cut of ribeye and he said it must be out of date. We felt quite rushed through the whole process. The dining room was virtually empty as we were the first customers. I heard the specials being explained to others from their waiter afterwards. And they were shown the different cuts with explanation. The steaks were good but not extraordinary. I would have expected more for a $300 evening for 2 people.

I have always been extremely satisfied with my overall dining experience at 529. Whether it was the food, service or environment I would rate 529 as 5+ out of 5. My only disappointment with my last reservation was that there was a time restriction placed on us...I was asked the day prior to my reservation as to how long I thought we might need. The dining experience that evening was overshadowed by the time limitation. And when our time was up, we were reminded immediately that we had to leave, our time was up. That took away from the experience. We spent a fair amount of money for dinner and were asked to leave when our time was up. That piece was disappointing. I will absolutely go back but I know that if asked again, I will indicate more time than I personally anticipate...I would encourage all to do the same as it is intrusive to be in the midst of conversation with friends/family and be interrupted to be asked to leave.

Overall, I would say this restaurant is completely overrated. The food was nothing special. It was cold and greasy.
I am not sure what the hype is about this place but I would not go back. Certainly, not worth the expense.

Wonderful Winnipeg establishment. Very reasonable priced lunch menu. Looking forward to the outdoor patio opening.

Everything I heard and much more. It was a very comfortable atmosphere, lighting was perfect and staff were wonderful. The food was wonderful. (I am a very critical eater and have nothing but amazing things to say!)

Chris’s hospitality and attention to detail was fabulous- Exactly what I expected from 529. Food was excellent and the steaks and scallops exceptional.

Gentleman receiving guests was trying to be funny, but came off as rude and dismissive. Given the prices and caché, I did not anticipate the unwelcomed reception.

Our waiter Alan was excellent, great service very professional. Food was outstanding especially the Caesar salad. Everything was outstanding.

Absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is phenomenal , the staff are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. My partner and I make a point to go every time we are in the city. This time we were seated in a small side room next to a table of 6 obnoxiously loud people, it was not ideal for the romantic dinner we had planned. In my opinion, I will remove the 2 top from that room and keep it for larger groups. Given it was a Saturday night, the place was full and moving to a different table wasn’t an option but we were not about to pass up the delicious food. Everything else was fabulous and despite the terrible table mates, we’ll be back as soon as we can!

Great first experience at a steak house! 10/10 would recommend. Steak and side dishes were amazing and our service was stupendous.

The food & service were great. Very pricey so we only go there for a special occasion. The steaks are always very tender & they serve the largest shrimp I have seen anywhere.

A great place with fantastic food and service

Always enjoy my visit. Food comes rather fast and mine could have been hotter. It was tasty. Would like to have a starter salad included with most meals.

Love 529 Wellington and especially for lunch. The food was amazing! The noise level was a little high from time to time but that is unavoidable when the restaurant is full and busy.

All staff were amazing and very welcoming. The service was excellent and we followed the recommendations of our waiter; outstanding!

This is by far and away my favourite restaurant I love the setting, the space and the food and service are unlike anywhere else I have eaten. Anything on this menu would impress anyone.

So lucky to have sommelier Christopher filling in as a server. He gave incredible wine recommendations as well as being a fabulous server.

They have a wonderful selection and large variety for wine. Everyone here is so professional from the hosts, the server, the manager and to the lady to gives thorough reviews on the cuts of steaks and meats offered. Their tenderloin and lobster are to die for and my boyfriend really enjoyed their porterhouse steak. We also had their lobster Mac and cheese and their mashed potatoes are made so perfectly. Although, the oysters are pretty teeny tiny for $3.5 each. Other than that, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place and I will definitely return!

Nothing can quite describe the experience my wife and I had. One would have to go there and find out for themselves. It wasn’t noisy, but we also went for dinner at 10pm. Everything was amazing. From the service to the food and to the dessert was out of this world.

If you are looking to go on a new experience, I would 9/10 recommend. And the only reason I’m not giving it 10/10 is because the lighting isn’t that great for pictures.

But other than that, I’ll definitely go back.

Ps, it is a little pricy but worth every penny. Would suggest looking at the menu and price before hand.

I have never been to 529 Wellington, my husband and I was talking about it and we decided we will go for Valentine’s Day. We got an amazing seat by the window. Server was great - he was patient and explained everything to us. Food was amazing and surprisingly we walked out with a full stomach! We ordered 1 appetizer (Giant Prawn - it was so big!), 6oz Wellington, Lobster Tail & 6oz Tenderloin, Chef’s special Lobster Mac & Cheese , and Bread Pudding.

Price of course was higher - total bill was $197 after tax but food was SUPERB!!
