   This was my first visit. I went there specifically for their Halal steaks. I was told only their 12/14 oz (I can't remember the size) Ribeye and Chicken breast was Halal. I opted for the Ribeye and also ordered their Special off the menu summer salad, Tomatoes on a bed of pesto topped with Burrata. My friend ordered their mint and feta watermelon salad. Both the salads were superb and tasted so fresh. We practically licked our plates. For the main course, my friend ordered their 6 oz beef tenderloin with giant shrimp. The steaks were done exactly to our liking, as we requested. The meat was super tender and delicious. We also ordered a side of steamed asparagus with hollandaise sauce. We were not too excited about the hollandaise, found it a bit runny and not much flavor but it was the only thing we didn't like. For dessert, we shared a lemon tart on a shortbread crust and Brulee sugar on top. That was super delicious as well. Very lemony and the shortbread was smooth, melt in your mouth. All in all, it was the best dinner we could have asked for. Our server was very friendly and he made sure we were taken care of and had a good time. He knew the menu very well and also was very careful about suggesting us the menu choices since I had specified Halal meat only. I appreciated his efforts very much. I highly recommend it and cannot wait to be back. My only suggestion is to increase their Halal menu options :) I would love to be a regular patron there.

   The food is always amazing! The lounge has a tv that has sports on, at least every time we have been. That is a huge hit with the hubby! This is a special occasion place as it is pricy. The staff is exceptional in every way. Prompt, courteous, attentive enough and extremely knowledgeable. Everything you’d expect from that type of restaurant experience. If you have pearls, this is the place to wear them but I felt completely comfortable in a nice sundress. We will be back!

   Salmon with bearnaise sauce, black cod, mixed grill and the tenderloin with prawns were all cooked to perfection. The snap peas were perfectly crunchy and the house cut fries are an absolute must! Portions are huge but we managed to eat almost everything. Thank you for a fabulous dinner!

    We thought the food was overpriced for the amount...Especially the salads. The chicken sandwich salad was also small, and the sandwich, well-still think it was overpriced, although tasty. We were disappointed that there was no recognition of the special occasion we were celebrating as there was in the past. We were given the excuse of covid, whatever??? We are so tired of hearing that excuse. Anyway, we thought it was rather cheap of your restaurant, given the arrogance associated with it, and the fact that it is a special place to go.

    Always enjoy a business lunch at Wellington. The service is impeccable and the I always recognize friendly faces as most of the staff have been there for a long time. The food is always amazing and although the price isn't something I could afford weekly, it is a special place to visit and the quality of the food is represented in the price.     529 was a wonderful experience. There is something special about a wonderful old building on a quiet street. The service was wonderful from the first step through the door to the last step out. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about his menu and appropriate wines to compliment the meal, and very attentive throughout lunch without being obtrusive. A definite recommendation for Winnioeg, a hidden gem

    What blew me away is the amazing service of our server. He was not the usual bubbly super attentive kind of server. He’s basically your food advisor, he suggests what drink to pair with your food so it doesn’t ruin your palette and doesn’t force us to upsize as he can tell in an instan if you’re there to taste something new or experience the menu.

    Lovely dinner at 529. We totally enjoyed the Earl Grey infused gin cocktail- soooo good. Both of us had tenderloin with different accompaniments. With the steak I chose 2 jumbo shrimp and friend chose portobello mushroom- both were delicious. We shared asparagus and hollandaise. Every morsel of food was cooked to perfection ! Was the first time trying their pecan pie, was just like grandma’s!

    As usual, amazing food and service. Both of us had the black cod. It was the best I have ever had. We were not on the second floor but rather in the library on the first floor. Beautifully restored building.

    This was only our 3rd time coming to 529, and the food, drinks and service never disappoints. Everything tasted great, the food was cooked perfectly, and our waiter was very friendly. We had plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere, the experience, and didn’t feel rushed as we were there for at least 3 hours. Thank you

    Decided to take my wife here for pre valentines (13th). Expected the world but unfortunately it was not great. The server, though nice, failed to tell us the specials. We overheard him telling another table after we ordered thay there was a couple specials including oysters Rockefeller, which we would have ordered for sure. For a drink I had a Manhattan. It was poured well but came with a canned maraschino cherry which you would not expect from a fancy restaurant. We ordered the lobster bisque starter soups, which tasted much fishier than any lobster bisque i had had before. For dinner we both had 20oz ribeyes medium rare. Mine came rare which was ok with me but my wife's came almost blue rare. When we let the server know he asked if we wanted it refired but by that time it was too late in the dinner. Both steaks were also much tougher than you would expect from 80 plus dollar ribeye. My wife had lobster on the side which was amazing, would recommend. Sides were also very good especially the wild Mushrooms. After all was said and done our bill was 600 plus dollars for 2 people. I don't mind the price I knew what I was getting into. I was surprised to find that nothing was done bill wise for the steak my wife couldn't eat. At an expensive steak house you expect them to stand by their food and its preparation. I didn't complain at the time as there was several new couples being seated and I didn't want to ruin the mood for them over a few bucks. I still tipped 15% the waiter was attentive and the food wasn't his fault. Based on the above I would not go back and would recommend the keg.

    The facilities seem to be an older house renovated to provide a very intimate ambiance, with a few tables por “room”. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Food quality and presentation were also pristine.
