Everytime we go its amaxing, only downside was jackie when we asked for a more private table, she was sour never smiled only to other co workers
Food was amazing service was awesome. All and all a great dinner out it was pricey but well worth it.
Excellent farm to table restaurant with fresh local food and great service. Highly recommend!
Came to AG for dinner after reading the rave reviews. Service and atmosphere was top drawer. Was surprised by, but liked the three course meal for a set price. My husband is not a fan of desserts, so he was able to choose two appetizers instead. I had the candied beet salad, which I really enjoyed; he had the charred octopus salad and the steamed mussels. Also, I should mention that before our appetizers the chef sent out a little pastry with venison that was delicious! On to the main course... I was hoping when I booked the reservation that we’d be able to have the venison loin that was on the menu online, but it was not on the menu that evening, instead we both chose the AG Signature tenderloin of beef. Unfortunately, this entree was a huge disappointment. The tenderloin was generous in size and cooked to a perfect medium rare, but it was under seasoned and the melted Brie (with no almond crust) did not compliment it at all. The vegetables that came with it were also nothing to write home about - the lemon garlic greens were flavourless and the fried potato patty that it all sat on tasted like a soggy hash brown. I really wish I would have ordered something - anything, else. For dessert I had the caramel Creme brûlée that came with a ginger molasses cookie, both were delicious.
All in all, it is a very nice restaurant and the service was excellent but the main course was so underwhelming that it has left a bad taste in my mouth for the whole experience. With all the nice restaurants in Niagra Falls and N.O.T.L., I would try somewhere else before going back here again.
Overpriced for what we ate. Presentation was very nice and service very good. A bit more distance from other diners would have been appreciated, not many diners there at the time
Everything was outstanding
Terrific flavours, well-balanced.
Ambience was lacking for a couple of reasons.
One it’ was a Tuesday mid winter - can’t help that!
The room feels dated. Classic yes. I do not require an instagram-able room, that’s just ridiculous. Just might be nice to update a little. That said I will make a point to return in each & every visit to the Falls. Well done & thank you to all
Food was good, service and ambiance excellent. We had a very loud table beside us which wasn't great but overall a wonderful restaurant I would highly recommend.
The restaurant is at the lower level of the inn good for those staying upstairs. Not a big one and nice and comfortable seating. With choice of a la carte or between 2 set of 3 course meal. Everything an upscale restaurant should have, they got it. A spot for adults or couples looking for a romantic and charming dinner. Kids or noisy people, eh, not for them and don't take them there to spoil the tranquil atmosphere.
Wonderful food! Best mussels we’ve ever had. Ever vegetable was amazing full of very special taste
I chose AG at The Sterling for a Valentine's dinner with my wife. Niagara Falls does not have the best dining options in my opinion, even the higher end chain steakhouses that have been added in the last few years do not compare to the Toronto locations. So when I found AG and read the reviews I was excited. We were both very happy with our experience at AG. The night we dined had a 3 course dining menu. Each course had a number of items to choose from. We had charcuterie and bone barrow as our appetizers. Both were great and the charcuterie was large enough to share. For the main course I had venison and my wife had the lamb. They were able to make a substitution to my wife's meal to my the experience even better. Mine came as is and I was very pleased with the flavour and the portion size. Venison usually comes as a very small portion, I would estimate my plate came with between 8-10oz of meat. The desserts were also very good. We paired our meal with a bottle of wine and found the final price a very good value for what we had. Would definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful experience for Valentine's weekend date night. The food was excellent as well as the service. This restaurant is very accommodating to different dietary restrictions like being vegan. We will definitely be back here again and highly recommend when visiting Niagara Falls.
The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic - beautiful presentation and everything was delicious!
I had the coconut curry mussels, Arctic char, Brussels sprouts, kale salad, poached pear dessert, a chocolate shot of port, and a local sparkling wine. The mussels were incredibly tender and rich. I had to stop myself from drinking the curry sauce straight out of the bowl after I was finished. The Arctic char was a delicate and light flavor with a firm, flaky texture. I hadn't had Brussels sprouts in a chili sauce before, but it was a great combination. The poached pear....it came with a chestnut tart, and I wish I had realized that eating the pear and tart together, instead of one after the other, was my best bet for flavor-- but that's my one regret for the entire meal. The wines were delicious, and the waitstaff showed a lot of pride in talking about the local vineyards and flavors brought to the table.
I left feeling like the food was so good, I could die happier for having eaten here. As for the price: I ended up spending $250 American, $325 Canadian, for a meal for three people. I think maybe that's quadruple the cost I'm used to paying for a meal, AND I enjoyed it at least 4 times as much, maybe even 10 times more. I'm planning to save my pennies to try out more expensive restaurants more often.
Best service we’ve had in a while. The food was wonderful and very well valued, we thought. An interesting menu with well balanced and presented dishes. We would definitely return.
The food is spectacular... The atmosphere is very charming and inviting. And the staff does not disappoint. I recommend the AG for any couple, it is worth every penny.
This was our 4th time at the AG. It's nice for an upscale night out. Saturday's live music is a plus.
Service is unmatchable and the food exquisite!
What a hidden gem.
We thoroughly enjoyed every course of the 'date night' menu! The service was outstanding as was the food and presentation.
We love the food. Chef Cory is extremely talented. Service is outstanding. Ambiance keeps us coming back.
Great ambiance, great food.attention to detail was great, our server was great. We stayed at the sterling hotel so we didn’t have to go outside or drive to get to restaurant so it was even better
The food was very good, but there should be some casual entrees on the menu. The service was excellent!
Been here 4 years in a row for my girlfriend's birthday. This place seems to be the special place that no one seems to know about locally. The atmosphere is awesome, service is always on par and the food is delicious. We come back year after year knowing not to expect anything less.
It was amazing 1 year ago for our wedding reception! The staff and chef out do themselves as well everytime we have been there not just for special occasions...... Cody and Quinn were very attentive. Can't wait for our return!!!
My husband and I love the atmosphere in the the dining room, also enjoyed the live music 🎶 on Sat evening.
My husband had the butternut squash soup served piping hot, mussels were perfectly cooked with perfect amount of curry spice!
The poached pear and chestnut tart with white chocolate cream, for dessert...to die for!!!
Hoping it’s still on the menu when I visit again💕
Great experience overall. Superb value. Exceptional food and service.
Courteous and professional
Good Food but so pricey.
Need a better wine list
There are many better wines from Ontario
That are much better
Like sand banks sleeping giant
Intimate setting with a creative menu. Service was wonderfully professional and the food cooked with great skill. Suggestions for wine pairings were excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for an upscale experience.
Food was excellent, but we ordered a side of Brussels sprouts to go with our main. When our main coarse came there were no sprouts, waiter said they were on there way. My partner and I finished our main , way before the sprouts arrived at the table. Very disappointed in the service.
Excellent service and lovely restaurant, the food was good however lack variety in flavors and also felt the menu descriptions were more elaborate than the dishes. Overall was a good experience however will not likely return.
Celebrating Christmas here was fabulous. The filet mignon was very tender and flavorful. Gelatos were exceptional. Will return again next time we are here in Niagara Falls, Ontario
Always good every time we go. One change though although very small and quite insignificant is they changed the lovely chandeliers that are in the round banquettes to very Moder’s harsh LED lighting. Although it certainly did not affect our dining experience just a change that in my opinion was perfect the way it was before. Still love AG at the Sterling!
W enjoyed our meals, the service and the ambiance. However we did feel it was pricey my wife's shrimp and scallops meal was skimpy for the cost.
The scallop and shrimp entree portion could be a bit more generous, aside from that it’s tasty and fresh!
Simply outstanding from food to service. Highly recommend for creative diners.
We always have a superb dinner at AG cuisine. The restaurant manager Darren and the chef make sure that your dining experience is like nothing you have experienced. The service is always fantastic and the food is always delicious and the presentation is amazing. Attention to detail is their thing! Thanks again for a great evening.
Everything was excellent from the service to the amazing food and cocktails. Will definitely be back!
It was amazing as usual. It's a great opportunity to try new foods not available anywhere else in the area.
I have enjoyed dining at "the AG" several times. I'm always impressed with their creative dishes and emphasis on farm-to-table.
