Better than average food and value. Service was ok, no complaints!
Volume of piano bar music was a bit loud for my taste, difficult to carry on any conversation. That said, the music and vocals were very good!
This is a consistently great restaurant! The food and the service is always great!! They have an excellent and very friendly staff. The ambiance is great, and we can’t forget the incredible talent of Randy Barnes on piano. One of our all time favorite restaurants!
birthday. Best food, best service, fabulous live entertainment. Best restaurant in metro Atlanta
Great choice for post graduation dinner. We had a party of 10 and they took great care of us.
This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with great food, great service, entertainment, and relaxed ambience. If you want a really laid back,no pressure, quiet elegance, this is a place to consider. Al, his wife and the entire staff are focused on making sure you have an excellent dining and social experience. I cant recommend them more highly, they are really unique.
Always a wonderful experience...the service impeccable! Can't beat the value. TERRIFIC old timey Italian restaurant.
It may have been an “off night” for the chef and I’m fairly sure we had a new server. Not a great overall experience
As we have come to expect over the years.
excellent food. nice live background music. great service
Excellent food great music definitely will come back again
I’ve loved this place from day one. The piano bar is great. For Mother’s Day, I don’t expect impeccable service or to be near the piano bar. I feel like the restaurant set up well to prepare for the influx. The rose was a nice gesture!
Our waiter was unfriendly but he got our order right. I learned that he had been working since 8am. We actually thought another gentleman was our waiter because he got our waters. I was annoyed that the gentleman that got our water kept ignoring our table and helping the several tables that came in well after us. Finally another waiter came up to ask us about any other drinks. We ordered immediately and our entrees came out like an hour later. Needless to say, the tables that came in after us were well gone by the time we got our food- probably because they had a more attentive waiter. I ended up taking my food to go because my child refused to eat by the time the food got out because he was so tired. My first Mother’s Day definitely taught me an important lesson- go early!
Mother's Day dinner was very busy, but the staff did a nice job. We couldn't sit in the main room, so I was a little disappointed we could barely hear the music from the adjoining room. The food was very good as always although there was a limited menu without my favorite on it.
I rarely give negative reviews. We had a reservation for 7PM Sunday night of Mother's Day for 5 of us, two moms. We were seated around 7:10 which was fine. We sat for at least 5 full minutes before being greeted. We ordered drinks and apps. The drinks came on time, the apps a little longer than expected probably around 735ish. Our waiter took our dinner order. We then waited an hour for our food. I asked the manager what was going on. He said our food would be right out. He did not come to our table to apologize. Finally, our food arrived around 9 PM!! It was good, not great. Also, the waiter had to make two trips to his large tray to serve all of us at the same time even though by that time of the evening the rest of the wait staff were available to help him expedite service. We certainly complained about the lengthy delay. Our waiter offered us a free dessert. We declined because we just wanted to get out of there already. He suggested we take it to go. I said, "fine." He only brought us two slices of chocolate mousse cake, even though we were a party of five! I didn't want to complain anymore, I just wanted to get out of there. I might recommend take out from this restaurant, but I would not suggest dining in.
I took my wife to Altobelli’s for Mother’s Day. Though it is a very busy day to eat out, we were seated quickly and the service was great - very attentive and eager to please. My wife had the Veal Cardinale and I had the Salmon Tuscany. Both dishes were presented well and tasted delicious! We have been to Altobelli’s many times in the past and are always impressed with the consistently good meal and excellent service, even on a busy night.
It was Mother’s Say so I’ll give them the benefit but the service was just OK. At the end of dinner they asked my Husband if he wanted another beer. I had the tortellini which was very good and my Son had the pasta with the sausage and mushrooms in a cream sauce he said it was a little lacking of flavor. The fried calamari was a bit fishy. The salads were nice. I would pass on the tiramisu not the best I’ve ever had
Made a reservation for Mother's Day, however, there was no indication on open table or the website that it was only a buffet. Disappointing level of food, especially for an Italian restaurant.
Wonderful meal and great atmosphere the whole night. It was quiet in our area and we were able to converse with out any problem.
Food was excellent, we love they place and will continue to come back.
Love the Piano bar and the music in the background as we are enjoying our dinner.
We went for our 31st wedding anniversary. I requested an intimate table or booth and we were escorted to a corner booth that was very cozy. The waiter was very low-key and asked the same question multiple times. Food came to the table luke warm but we did not send it back. It was well seasoned and expensive for the small portions that were served. I love the ambience and the decor. The piano bar was OK since it was far from our table and random people were singing karaoke but the volume is low so it didn’t bother us. We may give this another chance at some other time.I would have given this a five out of five if the food was hot and the server was more enthusiastic.
We are from Northern NJ and know good Italian food - this was not good Italian food. The pasta fagoli soup was low sodium chicken broth with large ziti noodles in it and I had one bean in my cup. The entrees had not taste and we drenched in butter and oil. Dessert was fine but nothing special. The Piano Player and Singer made the night. Will not be returning. Still on our search for an authentic Italian restaurant in the North Atlanta area.
The food and service are always perfect. The entertainment is always great. A neighborhood gem, we a;ways have a great time.
The food was great! Also, the entertainment was wonderful!
The singer and piano player really made it: Great American Songbook and it sounded excellent.
Enjoyed Easter Sunday Buffet. Food was excellent!
Excellent place to hangout and have a good time. Family environment, great food, great music.
Took out my in-laws to a nice dinner. We had a great time. Great atmosphere and great food
The owner greeted us and was very friendly and helpful. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Will definitely go there again to sample other dishes.
Great atmosphere. Piano and singing provides a nice touch. Excellent service.
have been here many times in the past with my family and have absolutely loved it every time! Randy does amazing on the piano as always, and Kathy's spunk and enthusiasm is what we look forward to every time we visit. will be back soon!
Great as always which is why we always come back. Thanks.
Food and service were very good. The lady singer was also excellent. Our group enjoyed themselves and will recommend this restaurant in the future.
We have been to Altobeli's twice in the last month. We love the food and the piano bar.
Our monthly luncheon always goes perfectly. We love it
They have a very extensive gluten free entree menu. However, they have no gluten free bread, crackers or desserts.
Great food! Great service! And the live music was great too!
This is one of our favorite places to eat, sing, listen to others sing and have an overall great night out.
The front manager/owner did not acknowledge that we had a reservation. I had asked for a special dessert to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were not even asked if we wanted dessert. The waiter kept going back and forth to the kitchen to see what items were available. He moved like a snail.
Service very good. Entre very good. Desserts not good. Key lime pie actually was rancid. Cheesecake bland. We didn’t have to pay for the key lime pie. I would go back for the entre but the desserts make me a little nervous overall.
Went for a dinner with friends we haven't see in ages. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was excellent (not pushy even thought we were taking extra long, but still very attentive). Food was nice quality and served efficiently though the restaurant was full. It was a little loud with the music, but that was why I had chosen this restaurant, so it was a bonus, not a detraction!
Food was ok. Restaurant had live music, but loud. Took 45 minutes to get our dinner!
Altobeli's is our go to place when we want a comfortable delicious dining out experience. You cannot beat Altobeli's for elegant yet casual dining. "Al's" offers good food at very reasonable prices with tablecloths and fresh flowers on each table. Oh, and did I mention musical entertainment every night? There's a reason Altobeli's has been in North Fulton for almost 40 years. Go! You won't be disappointed.
