Our waiter was so sweet and attentive. The food is stellar. We go to Ambiyan for every special occasion (we drive down from Newmarket). Amazing food, can’t say enough good things. Best Indian food around.

The service was excellent, the appetizers and meals were delicious and flavourful, just the right amount of spices (mild, not hot), good selection of drinks, though the cocktails could be a little better. The ambience is really good with Unionville Main Street. Worth visiting.

Great food. Party of four and we were able to share two appetizers plus each have a main and it was more than enough. Only negative is that the service was a bit slow and sangria was not great. We will be back as the food was very tasty.

We enjoyed sitting on the patio with live saxophone music. There were some loud cars but that can’t be helped! The food was excellent, tasty and hot- the prix fixe dinner was good value. The only improvement would be the service- runners could not answer questions and did not know who ordered what item. He said more dessert was coming but did not explain it’s only 1 dessert per couple. The waitress came to explain after a long wait. Otherwise would recommend this restaurant. Gratuity was automatic 18% for 6 people but not disclosed in advance.

Had a great time. Service was excellent. I asked for a cozy table for date night and they put us outside on patio deck by the saxophone player. It was Sat night. We had the best time! Food n drinks were as always delicious!

We went to dinner with friends and loved sitting up top on the patio. The service was good, the waiter friendly and helpful is helping me choose a meal that wasn't spicy. Our food was delicious. However we did find the price of the side rice and raita overpriced for its size. We sat right by the speaker but were shown that we could adjust the sound as we needed, so it was never too loud. We also enjoyed the live musician. We really enjoyed our experience and hope to return another time.

The goat meat was salty and very bad pieces! I would not serve this to a family or friend. The sizzling chicken tandoori platter had no flavour and was not cooked properly. They were chicken cubes not even pieces. Bro worth the money do not go here! Indian food was a 0/10.

I stumbled upon Ambiyan on Open Table and was so glad we chose to dine here. The spices and flavors were fresh and so tasty. Portions were just right for two . Our table on the porch was perfect for a lovely evening. Booking was super easy and the time we wanted to select was available. Thanks for a delicious dinner and will definitely recommend. Plus the area is so quant and cute!!!

Overall experience was phenomenal‼️ Waiter and waitress’s were so friendly. The food came out nice and hot (temperature wise). We were a group of 7 and all the meals came out at the same time which was great❗️ Everyone got to eat at the same time. We all had a variety of food from Chicken Korma, Chicken Vindaloo and Omg…we had the Battered Brie cheese to start…if you’ve never tried it make sure you do!! **The only complaint I have is they should add more chicken or beef to the dishes. Other than that…don’t let that detour you from going to eat here. The staff were absolutely amazing and thank you to the kitchen staff for making our amazingly good meals!!! Will definitely be back. 🙏🏼 Thank you

The best Indian cooking in Markham or in all of York Region I am sure, possibly in the whole of the GTA... amazing butter chicken! incredible flavour on the naan breads, crispy, fluffy, garlicky, perfect!

This place serves great Indian food and is one of our favorites. We drive 45 minutes to come and eat here. The outdoor patio is a great place to enjoy the great food. Ya gotta eat here!

Food was quite good. One dish (Dal Makhani) had too much salt. Naans were awesome. The server missed a couple of things in the order — it is always a good idea to have the server repeat back the order. Ambience was nice. The street scape was beautiful. Place got to be quite loud by mid-evening.

The food at Ambiyan is outstanding! Fresh and lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The staff is friendly and offers excellent recommendations. We were at the restaurant for lunch on a Friday. There were a number of lunch specials but we chose to order a la carte. The Brie Pakora was delicious as was the chicken korma. Try the saffron basmati!! I am looking forward to going again to try the vegetarian options.

The food was great, as always. The service was off. The meals were brought about 30 mins after the starters. 2 meals were missing and were brought out only after we asked (about 15 mins after the first 2 meals.). We then waited for about 39 mins after finishing before we were able to get our bill and pay.
