We have been going to Amerigos for years, at least a couple of times a year for special occasions. As always, the food and service were great. We started with coctails and an appetizer in the bar and Claire the bartender was wonderful. Our dinner waiter was John. He is relatively new there but he met Amerigo's standards of wonderful service to go along with his quirky sense of humor. The four of us all had something different for dinner and everyone was very pleased. The only thing I miss is the piano player.

The food here is always good even though I think it somewhat overpriced. It’s equal in quality to other Italian restaurants but about 25-30% more expensive. However, it’s also a bit more elegant than the others but I usually don’t need that to make my experience better. I would come here more often if the prices were more on line with Avanti’s & others.

Our dining experience was atrocious. We had a reservation for 6:30pm and were seated promptly. It took almost twenty minutes to get our drinks. We had four different servers come to our table to take things off but we had to ask to order. The food was great but service was the worst we ever had. The restaurant was not very busy either. I walked to the restroom at one point and counted 16 open tables. We will not return.

We were out for Valentines Dinner. We were seated in a long line of tables for 2 and we were in the middle of the line. Everyone else was being served and finally we got water. 60 minutes later we were delivered the first course. Over an hour for one visit by the waiter and one thing to eat by an institution that should know how to handle a night like this. The other waiters were providing excellent service to their patrons but every time I asked for our server know one could answer. I finally got the manager and he just said I’m sorry. We left and will not be back. Sad, this was one of our favorites.

Amerigo’s is first class and a great place lunch, dinner, happy hour or celebrating a special occasion. The food and service is top notch and the price point beats the competition. It’s also a 70’s throwback elegant decor which to me sets a great ambiance. They also really work their wine selections. Highly recommend.

This was our first time dining here and we will definitely go back. Our server -Phillip was awesome. The food was delicious as were the cocktails. It was a relaxed dining experience meaning the food was paced out slowly so we could enjoy cocktails, appetizers, salad before our main course came. We didn’t get that rushed feeling. It was our anniversary and they gave us free dessert. Since it was a Tuesday night it was very quiet but we were told weekends are very busy. So we will definitely return on a week night. Thank you Amerigo’s!

My husband and I have enjoyed dining at Amerigo’s for over 15 years. It’s a shame that last night, when we were supposed to be celebrating my mother’s 94th birthday, we had one of the worst dining experiences that I I can remember, anywhere,ever. Among many other deficiencies, it took over 90 minutes to get our entrees and we ended up leaving without even being offered dessert.

This restaurant does not meet its advertising. We had a 7pm reservation. They didn’t have the wine we picked from their list. Then the escargot appetizer was not available nor was their fish special nor was the trout. Service was very slow but we think they just were under staffed. The pasta we ordered was fine but not worth the expense when combined with the other issues.

Absolutely delicious. Gracie is the best service, wonderful drinks and food. The bread basket is worth writing home about, so very good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas too, gorgeous. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Everything was fantastic for my lunch with a good friend last week. I do not live in the area of The Woodlands and was told by someone who did, that no one from the area goes there anymore as it isn't safe. I told the lady that she and her lunch crowd friends should try it for lunch as we had felt safe in the area during the day. (I don't know what the area is like during the evening hours.) Our waitress, who was from Kansas, was very nice and efficient.

This was our first visit to Amerigo’s, but won’t be our last! We are new to The Woodlands & have been trying new places over the last year & I’m just sorry we haven’t been here sooner. Everything was wonderful-service, food, ambiance. We liked the variety of options on the menu; our server (I believe her name was Ari) was knowledgeable & attentive; we enjoyed each course without feeling rushed. My husband ordered a halibut special which he said was excellent-high praise since we are former Alaskans & are picky about our fish. Thank you for a great experience!
