   We ate here for dinner on Saturday evening and brunch on Sunday. The food was amazing both times and excellent service. A definite must - we will be back.

   Best cauli bites we have ever had! Beet salad was excellent and beautiful presentation! 1/2 size dinner salad was a huge portion and delicious! Margarita pizza was not the best but ok- too thick, too cheesy but also huge portion! Great service!! Overall a fantastic option on Whyte Ave would definitely return!

   Had higher expectations from food and cocktail but they were both ok...cocktails were very out of balance and nothing craft about them.. No Vegetarian options for main course.. Margarita pizza tasted as if it was store bought frozen pizza..thick crust and regular cheese instead of fresh mozzarella for 21$.. Bread pudding was dry and not fresh. Hospitality was great except that everything else was very passable..

   Food was ok but not great, eggs Benedict weren’t great, needed an axe to cut the muffin. Sea food were so so, omelette were to thin, very flat. Best part was the bacon and roasted potatoes. Price was triple what it should of been, $182 for two people included 2 mimosa. Very disappointing.

   Truly amazing service. Our server went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. The food was also exceptional. My sister and I chose this venue to celebrate my birthday and I couldn’t have had a better time! Fabulous.

    For paying $50 for the platter, fresh scrambled eggs would of been better, not the bagged/powdered eggs, and bacon was really hard. Everything else was really good

    We had a delicious meal, excellent service and we overall very enjoyable experience at Ampersand 27. The cauli bites were awesome and we also were intrigued and enjoyed other yummy menu items including pickle pizza and beet and blood orange salad. I will definitely be back.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ampersand 27! What a selection of gins! Designed our own charcuterie and wine pairing! The pizza and pasta were definitely worth boxing up to take home! We will be back

    We had a lovely time here, ambience was great, service attentive and yummy food. We ordered Sharing plates and had the crispy cauliflower, oysters, forest floor pizza, and the mussels…cocktails were good as well! It was our anniversary and a nice night out!

    Food was fantastic - the bruschetta & cauli bites were amazing, as was the bison lasagna! Delicious crème brûlée for dessert. Our server was fabulous and helped us make our mom’s 70th birthday dinner extra special by going above & beyond.

    We came here to celebrate my partners birthday by attending a wine and food pairing event (Gerard Bertrand wine). They made it a very pleasant experience! We enjoyed every moment and the staff were exceptional.

    A treasure on Whyte Avenue - beautiful restaurant. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had the paella and it was flavourful and full of seafood.

    Our server seems annoyed to be serving us. The food came out cold and the cocktails all tasted off. We were seated in a back room beside a table of kids that were running around screaming (not the restaurants/servers fault) which was less than ideal. All the staff seemed really frustrated by our presence. Very weird vibes.

    Attended the Ken Forrester Wine Dinner and enjoyed a set five course dinner paired with generous pours of Ken Forrester wines that complemented each course beautifully. Bonus for me as a Celiac customer that a phone call ahead to the GM and Chef confirmed each course was safe with no substitutions, up charges or need to play the Celiac 20 questions game! A terrific evening where we discovered a new to us restaurant and a socially conscious wine producer that makes amazing, value priced wines.

    We really like going here for our date nights, however we went for our anniversary and left some requests for the kind of table we could have. The reso was made in advance and it felt like they didn’t see or really care as they brought us to a really small table - and it was quite slow anyway. They ended up accommodating but didn’t acknowledge we were there for a special reason which is why my review is the way it is.

We did however move you once available. We do just want to note that there was no mention of a special occassion in the notes section of your reservation, so we would not have known this either upon arrival.     Probably because it was a Sunday at brunch and they were busy. But our waiter didn't really help us a whole lot. On their menu it says you can add on a Benny for 5 bucks. Was told I wasn't able to even if stated on the menu. Our food came out very cold. And our eggs were so over cooked it was rubber. The plating looks great. But definitely wasn't a super great experience.

    Our server JJ was attentive and quick. Food was “chefs kiss” delicious (I got the elk and the vanilla creme brule) we had a late 8:30 reservation for a family dinner. We loved it and would love to come back in the future.

    We made a reservation well in advance to try the very instagrammable “brunchcuterie board”. We were seated in what has to be the worst table in the restaurant, in a corner pressed up against a wall and half behind an opening door, meaning if the door opened it would hit our table and block one of us in. When we immediately asked our server to be moved, we were told it would depend if there were any reservations, as if we hadn’t made one and waited weeks to come in ourselves. We were moved to a back room separate from the main area, eliminating the experience of ampersands ambient atmosphere completely. The service was lacking, at a minimum I think to ask if we might like more coffee would have been appreciated. The food came to our table cold, cold eggs, cold bacon, hard waffles, cold toast, as if everything had just come out of the fridge. The brunch board seems like a great idea but was poorly executed, at least for us. Overall an underwhelming and disappointing experience, I would not recommend.

    Apologize in advance for the following post.. but really it was that bad. A lot of hype recently about the amazing brunch. We decided to make a reservation since weeks earlier we were turned away as walk in’s Although the service was great … unfortunately it was the worst brunch ever. Tough to comment on the atmosphere because I’m not even sure they they know what they are going for? The tables themselves- for whatever reason they thought using cheap hardwood looking planks and now they are warping , uneven and lifting. The Brunchuterie Board came out and it looked amazing but that’s as far as it went. The scrambled eggs were cold as was the skillet they were on. The potatoes were luke warm at best… as was the dish they were served in. The waffles - appeared as if they make large batches of them and then just try to reheat them as orders come in and yes .. they were cold too. The toast .. you guessed it .. cold too and already hard. We did substitute the pulled pork for smoked salmon . Guess what it was cold!! I was actually expecting it to come out opposite as it should have. Lol. The bacon - pretty sure it was made yesterday. Even if this was a one off- not heading back We did appreciate them taking it off the bill though.
