Real Food for Real People
Great service, very tasty food and incredible atmosphere. Highly recommend to visit this place!
Great service, incredibly friendly staff, and the food never disappoints. We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Thank you!
Food was very good. Took a while to get our drinks which were overpriced. But as a nice night out it was great. We've been before and we'll go back.
Went for Valentine's day dinner. The 3 course meal was very well priced, however the table that we were sat in wasn't ideal. It was right by the kitchen and where all the staff would hang out. There was also a bright light right above us, ruining the mood a little. Staff was great, service was good, would definitely recommend but would specify which table to be seated at.
Valentine’s Day meal - didn’t taste good at all.
I won't recommend it to a friend.
The food was good but ordinary for the price tag.
Absolutely Incredible, Great service, Accommodating yo our requests, Great good and drinks, the old Fashion is out of this world!!! Would Definitely Recommend! Thank you for making our Valentines such a Great Time!
Immpecable all the way around and unique.. Has become our family favorite for special times together.
Great restaurant with an interesting and eclectic menu.
We really enjoy our dining experience with our friends at Ampersand27. The service and food were excellent and I would highly recommend it.
Great food and service! The service could be be better.
Have eaten here before and loved it. This time I had the brisket burger and found the bun dry and the burger was salty and fell apart.
I'd recommend ampersand to try their charcuterie bit I found the brunch to be mediocre. It might have been what I ordered but I don't think I'll go back for brunch. The service was also very slow considering their were only about 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant.
Nadia was perfect!
Great brunch on a chilly day! The chicken and waffles was delicious :)
A fantastic night out with my wife and daughter. Will definitely come back.
Quality fare in a comfortable setting. I recommend the Steak Tartar, it was exceptional.
Our sever was great! She was very accommodating. The atmosphere was nice and had potential. The food did not meet expectations.
Food was not the greatest have had better at this restaurant.
Went for an impromptu dinner with my sister while unexpectedly stuck in the city for the night. We shared the charcuterie for two, which could easily feed 4 as an appetizer! It was $35 but you definitely get your moneys worth. We also shared the pork belly bao buns and they were excellent. We were going to order mains but after the large charcuterie we just decided on a couple of flatbreads. Delicious! The crust was thin and crispy, sauce was flavourful, toppings were fresh. The reason I give the food 4 stars is because of the Caesar salad. It came with slivers of red onion or maybe shallot which was not listed on the menu and it kind of overpowered the taste of the salad. Personally I don’t believe onions belong in Caesar salad. Other than that, everything was excellent and the service was fantastic too. Beautiful ambiance. Would come here again and again!
Kaitlyn is a phenomenal server! The food was awesome thanks to chef Tyson!
The food was decent and very good flavours. They didn't have any draft beer working, or any Port from their menu. With such a line item selection of items, these things need to be available for it to be enjoyable.
This restaurant is beautiful and we were so looking forward to dining there as it had been a few years since we have been there.
The service was ok, our waitress was nice. The real disappointment was the food. They do not have the build your own charcuterie anymore, it’s already prepared and honestly the ingredients in the charcuterie board looked like what I would buy from Safeway and I could have put together a better one for half the price. The main course was only ok at best. We got the brisket sandwich. It wasn’t very flavourful and instantly made both mine and my husband’s stomach upset. My friend had the salmon and her words to describe it were dry and disgusting. She had asked for extra asparagus since the barley was so dry it was inedible. It took over 20 minutes to get the asparagus and by that point we were done our meals and ready to go.
I should have clued in when we were there on a Saturday night and the restaurant was maybe half full at best. This restaurant has gone down hill and we will not be back. We have had way better food at restaurants where the bill was less than half of what it was at Ampersand27. Very disappointing.
Service was amazing. Food was good. Gnocchi was a tiny bit salty but still tasty. Ambience was wonderful.
Honestly the server Caitlyn went above and beyond in her service today. 100% would come back because of it!
everything was as expected. we have dined at this restaurant several times and they never disappoint. portion sizes were quite large so it would be nice to have a half order option for us smaller eaters.
Waiter was amazing! Food was fantastic.
Service was dreadfully slow. The meals were great though.
Ambiance was very nice.
The service ruined the experience. When we arrived we advised the server that there were individuals with gluten intolerance in our party. The server advised that the bread for the charcuterie would be placed on a separate plate. We also advised the server that we had tickets to a performance so we were under some time constraints. He assured us this would not be an issue as we had over an hour for our meal time. When the board arrived the bread was placed right down the middle of the board. We tried to get the attention of our servers attention to fix the bread issue and also to advise that the bread served was dry and stale. Our server was nowhere to be found and the restaurant wasn’t busy as it was 4:30 in the afternoon. Our server didn’t reappear until the time he brought our our meals. By this time we needed to leave.. we had them packed up and ate at home after our show... not what at all what we have come to expect from Ampersand but definitely impacts whether we visit again.
Food was bland, scallops were cold, kids were loud, would likely not recommend to anyone, wine was good, wish they brought back the extensive cheese list
The reservation was not honored as they had closed the kitchen.
The wait staff were great. But the plate of scones to share were under baked even after we sent the first order back. A brunch needs to have a killer coffee blend. This coffee was really mediocre. Eggs benny served on a dried out biscuit.
Fabulous food & service in a great setting. Everyone in our group of 6 loved it.
Under appreciated gem on Whyte Avenue.Fiod was fantastic.server pleasant and amiable and value was quite good a.Highly recommended
First timer to Ampersand27. I had scoped it out once for a potential venue for an event. But I had wanted to go back and have a sit down dinner. Overall the experience was good. The menu is on the small side, yet offered a very nice variety of options, although it would be nice to see more vegetarian/vegan options. (Just a couple more things!). A couple disappointing elements to a couple of items we ordered, one being the main Eggplant dish. The dish was tasty but the pieces of eggplant were chewy, almost tough. Also, the fresh oysters could really use more sauce choices. The fresh shaved horseradish is lovely, but could use some brighter accompaniments. The onion sauce was very acidic and oniony. Overpowered the delicate oyster.
On the upside, the charcuterie platter was a huge hit, the pickled veggies are mouth watering good. The steak dish was delicious and the deep fried avocado was so good, although the sweet sauce that comes with it seemed off in contrast.
Overall a great meal. Great beer. Worth a visit!
We have eaten here a few times, normally very good and great service. Last Sunday, not so great. We had a reservation for two, other larger parties came in roughly same time and were served prior, long wait for food and the pasta and meatballs was not worth the wait. Oysters were good as usually and drinks were fine, server needed some back up. Not great date night.
Service was amazing from the whole staff group. Felt very welcomed and comfortable for brunch.
Food was excellent with a good variety of dishes.
The lady who brought us to the table and served us was more than accommodating. She made sure our waters were always topped up and ensured that we had everything we needed. Food and drink was perfect!
I was looking forward to my spaghetti meatball bechamel dish but it came out with pretty dry (although nicely al dente) pasta with a couple of spoonfuls of the sauce and badly needed salt. The meatballs were really nicely spiced but it wasn’t enough to save the dish. My wife’s smoked salmon dish was quite dry but tasty nonetheless. Our charcuterie board had a version of prosciutto or Parma ham that was cut a little too close to the knuckle and had some very hard chips in it. Their house made pickles were very good. Nice ambience but given the selection of quality restaurants in Edmonton, we probably won’t be back.
Great service, great food, extensive drink/wine list
