Amsterdam Brewhouse & Restaurant
Food was pretty good. Nice selection of beers. Service was very slow, fo arriving to being asked what drinks we’d like to the time the food arrived. Not great
Great food...fantastic service (thank you Steph). There were 6 in our party...2 were stuck in traffic, so we ordered before they arrived....despite that fact, our meal seemed to arrive quite quickly, and our friends who arrived 15 minutes later had their meals at virtually the same time.
Burgers are awesome...As is lemon chicken schnitzel and the Thai noodle dish..:.IPAs go with everything!
Only rated noise high because it’s December and the table beside us was doing secret Santa! Pretty much expected this time of year!
The staff was phenomenal! We were running late due to traffic and the staff had no issue accommodating our reservation for 7 people. We needed to modify an order and Hannah was awesome getting that rushed out of the kitchen as well. We love Amsterdam and have never been disappointed. Great food, great service and a fabulous environment! Look forward to our next visit!
Depending on the event, this is a good location. Food quality was hit and miss. Service was slow over lunch hour mid week.
Nice atmosphere but the room was a little on the cold side. I had to leave my coat on.
Went with my son before a concert. Awesome food and great service!
You think you would have a beer in hand when your dinner arrives, server clueless as why you are actually eating at a brewery . Pizza was ok but the garlic aohli was wicked strong and overpowering
Great experience here at the Amsterdam brewhouse! Our server was John and he gave excellent service. The ambiance was lively and the food was delicious. We would definitely reccomend and will be back for sure!
Great overall experience!!
My food (Greek salad, poutine and brisket burger) and drink (try the Imperial Stout if it’s available) were excellent. The space is huge and conveniently located on the waterfront. My service was friendly but a little uneven in terms of check ins and availability.
We had 6 adults and 1 child and went after visiting Ripley's Aquarium - it was the perfect spot! Everything was amazing. We will definitely be returning again.
Poor service and food.
My sandwich was very dry. Server nice but he was lost after few requests.
The inside was decorated pretty nice with the Christmas tree and lights and fire place. Noise level was really high and we had to scream to hear each other. The server was good and chatty. The pretzel was good.
The pizza was definitely not worth the money. Barely any chicken found on it and mostly topped with salad (onion, tomato and cucumber). Felt like eating bread with salad! Can get much better pizza, and less pricy at other places. We paid around $100 bucks for a few beer tasters (like 3 pints of beer), a pizza and a pretzel! Very expensive. Don’t think we’ll return any time soon. The location is nice as its beside water and good for summer time.
Good selection of beers and food. We were on a 6 places tables with seats and it was tight. We would have prefer a table with chairs. Good ambiance.
Fav place to go when in Toronto. Love the buffalo cauliflower. We also had the beef brisket sandwich which was excellent. Richard was our server and he was very attentive and friendly.
Great time had by all
Wonderful spot with great menu and great beer.
I had friend coming in from out of province and wanted to show them a sweet place like the Amsterdam Brew House. They loved it!
Dinner and beer were ok- right on the Harbourfront
The Beer Battered Cauliflower was incredible! Diablo Pizza as recommended by our server was also fantastic! With a great view of the lake to boot highly recommend this for date night!
Great service and great food. Can't beat the atmosphere , thanks for a great night
The staff was great but halfway through our entrees we noticed a bug crawling on one of our group and got it off of her. Then we saw two more crawling all up the walls at our booth and looked closer to see that they were cockroaches. The management came over and discounted our meal and offered free dessert but we were already turned off and disgusted by the fact cockroaches were crawling everywhere. They were apologetic but apparently according to other reviews this is something ongoing and recent. Beware if you visit.
Always good! One of my favourite spots to dine and enjoy the skyline.
Unfortunately with the open concept from the upper floor, I could see the house managers and expediters as they were dealing with a complaint. I could see conversations outside the kitchen area. I am familiar with the food industry so saw the manager dealing with the customer, dealing with the kitchen manager, speaking to two waitresses. Saturday at around 8:20 pm. Another customer may not have been as adept at following the nuances of the interactions. Next time, I will sit out of view and not in eye short of that area.
As an out of town (over 2 hours away) I would have loved a window view. Although reservations were made, I could not specify.
Food came out in impeccable time. I know how weekends can be for restaurants. The pretzels were amazing. But could have been a little less salty. The sweet dip for the pretzel was so tasty.
First time as a customer and was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and view of the lake next to the fireplace! Food was tasty and service was great! Would come again with friends to eat!
The brewhouse was amazing. The service was quick and the staff was awesome. The food And beer was incredible! Highly recommend!
I would have gave 5 stars across the board except our appetizer and main came at the same time and the server seemed to not be able to hear us well because of the speaker overhead. Other than that a fantastic meal and night out.
Dinner before the Bob Seger concert, it was delicious, great service! I’d never been, but I will be back! Well done
It was a beautiful day and had a good table as requested.
Super friendly staff, great food, awesome beer! Need I say more?
Great restaurant, servers were happy and pleasant. Fast service too!
Great food! I had the smoke house burger and it was 👌🏻Nice view too!
We went to dinner and drinks before the Leafs/Bruins game. Probably my favourite Toronto restaurant. The food is always good, as is the 3 Speed. Our server friendly and efficient. The Amsterdam is always busy but we never have a long wait to get in. This visit we had a reservation.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed my food. The place is massive, and I just didn't expect much from the kitchen, but it was delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly and that helped offset a bit of a sense of sitting in an airplane hangar, just because of the sheer size of the space.
Our food was great as was our service , my only complaint was the open warehouse concept and the noise . Granted it is a bar as well so you d expect a level of noise, but there really is nothing to buffer the sound and it bounces off every wall.
Good place for its ambience and waterfront view. Food was decent but not something spectacular. Must visit for the scenary
My family and I had a great time at Amsterdam Brewhouse. We loved the decor and ambience which was unique to the Brewhouse. Gorgeous colours, lighting and fun to look around and take pictures with family and friends.
Our server was funny and friendly and offered suggestion when we asked for some.
Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food. We ordered crab cakes and they were fishy. 😕 We mentioned to our server and he said that they recent changes the receipe, and they didn't get any complaints. Maybe bring the recipe back? The Mac and cheese balls were good and the sauce to go with it was flavorful. The bang bang shrimp was tasty too, but for the price, there was not enough shrimp and too many chips of some sort. For our main we order the fish and chips and the chicken schnitzel. Unfortunately, the chicken schnitzel felt more like chicken parmesan then actual schnitzel and it packed salt. The brocolini was tasty, but the fingerling potatoes could of done with a little more cooking. Finally the kids menu was fun and the kids enjoyed their meals.
With a little more attention to the food, this place could be amazing than just great. 😊
The pizza was divine and the atmosphere was perfect. I can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the patio
Value for what we recieved was poor. Their octoberfest pizza was overpriced. At 17 dollars we received some bacon bits and a few onions. Nothing like it was described and the response from the server was to try and justify what we got by comparing it to a food commercial and said you never get what's advertised. Funny how the other pizza had ample toppings and was exactly how it was described.
My husband and I went to Amsterdam Brewhouse with our son who attends the University of Toronto. The food was amazing especially the Buffalo Cauliflower, the Ribs and the fish tacos. Our server was the best. He really made the lunch personable and a lot of fun. We will definitely be visiting again.
Special event celebrating our daughters birthday. Food was good, server was excellent and we had a great time. We didn't feel rushed at all even though it was busy.
