    We have been many times to the Mill and always enjoyed it. This time was no exception we had people with us who had never been before and were very impressed. It was my husbands birthday and he had a really good time. My only complaint and it is small because there were seven of us we were put in the banquet room which doesn’t have the same ambiance as the main restaurant .

    Our food and service was amazing and we were a large group. Nice pace to the meal, not rushed and food quality was excellent. The servers were some of the best I have encountered, and all staff was extremely polite with excellent manners. We will definitely return!

    It was our first time at Ancaster Mill and what an experience! Came here with my parents to celebrate all of our birthdays before they went away and the amount of care put into making our lunch experience as wonderful as it could be was just incredible. Would highly recommend anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion to come here!! Thank you so much to the team at Ancaster Mill.

    I asked in the reservation if we could be put in a quiet location so we could talk but we were placed in a beautiful location with the falls as a backdrop. With the noise of the other guests we had to ask to be moved so we could talk and were quickly accommodated which I appreciated.

    i had requested twice, both verbally and via email a request for our table to overlook the water. we had a 1:30 sitting and the restaurant was not busy. (many open tables in better locations than ours), however that request was clearly overlooked and our experience was considerably affected by the proximity of our table butted directly against their Oyster shucking server / food station. a partition is needed to make that table location work better. not wanting to make a scene we accepted the table and had our meal (but there could have been opportunity to move our party). however here's my chance to give feedback so i'm doing so.

    We have been coming here for many years and we are always very happy with our experience. I have food allergies and sensitivities and the manager as well as the chef were absolutely amazing at creating a beautiful delicious meal for me that I could enjoy. It was very much appreciated. The ambiance is spectacular and service impeccable.

    Beware of the price for the wagu beef appetizer if you decide to have it …….. really big bucks that they don’t show on the menu. Cost more than the total of the rest of the bill including alcoholic drinks. But the ambience of the restaurant was worth it especially if it is for a special occasion which our visit was.

    The atmosphere, the ambience, the surroundings, the waterfall, the food, the service, live music etc. it’s just off the charts. Totally excellent evening. We brought good friends with us from Buffalo and they were amazed at the dinner we enjoyed. I would recommend the Ancaster Old Mill most highly.

    The food was amazing! The servers came a good amount of times. When we were talking, they just came, filled our water/took away plates. Our water was never empty. We never had to ask for anything.

    My only complaint is that there should be more parking at the entrance to the restaurant for the customers that have difficulties walking. Accessing by the stairs or hill was very difficult for my sister who uses a walker. If we missed another way to access, more signage is required.

    Exceeded expectations! We can’t say enough good things! Our server was fantastic and personable. She didn’t rush us and let us know about her experience working with the other locations and seemed to really enjoy being a staff member along with her husband. You also made an extra bit more special by providing a little cupcake treat for our anniversary! Thank you! We will be back!
