Ancaster Mill
Situated beside a creek, with a large dining room built out overlooking the falls, Ancaster Mill is in demand year-round for weddings, family or corporate events and celebrations. Restored to keep its authentic character intact, this is a place where ambience fuses with fine food and great service.
beautiful venue, staff is very friendly and service was great. Can't wait to visit again
Excellent service
Ambiance and food was spectacular. Service was impeccable. Will definitely return and recommended.
Enjoyable evening, although disappointed with being seated in a high traffic area. Wait staff seemed to forget us on several occasions, resulting in us having to flag someone down several times. Food was good as always.
Amazing, they helped me out so much when I asked my girlfriend to marry me!
Valentine’s day! Great ambiance, very romantic!
Awesome time. They even brought out champagne for my fiancee and I celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Highly recommend - the waterfall and high end lodge-like feeling in the winter is amazing.
The receptionist greeted us with a smile and took our coats. We were led to our table and given a nice place overlooking the waterfall.
We have been to the Ancaster Mill several times and are always pleased with our selection on the menu, I only wish that there would be a little more choice on the luncheon menu, I find it very limited.
Our server was very courteous and explained the menu and answered all our questions.
We will return to the Ancaster Mill again soon.
We were there for the Sunday "Family dinner" - a prix fixe menu, but with vegetarian or vegan options if you need them. The room is lovely, the service is perfect, and the view outstanding. If you're looking for innovative, unusual food, this is not the place. If you're looking for well-prepared pleasant food that pays respect to the seasons and what's available locally, you'll be fine.
I love coming here but this experience was a bit different. The food was not up to par.
Also.. I noticed the floor manager (assuming)was eyeballing tables to see how far along we were. It felt very uncomfortable and annoying as we felt pushed out the door.
Amazing food! Prefect place for a lovely afternoon brunch with friends or loved ones.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Brunch! The only issue was that I feel they need at least 2 people on the omelette station & 2 people carving the beef. It was crazy busy & lined up in both these areas.
The food was amazing & we will definitely be going back:)
It was a good experience. Lots of good food. However, we went on Super Bowl Sunday, so instead of a classy meal, we were greeted by servers dressed in football jerseys. That was a little bit disappointing.
Really enjoyed the Sunday Supper experience- went for my daughters birthday. Andrew our server was very friendly. Will definitely return
Thanks for the take home apple pie!
The Ancaster Mill takes service to the highest level. Everything is made in house. The tastes are amazing. Beautifully presented. You leave feeling nourished and fully satisfied.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Ancaster Mill. The food was great; the servers were always available when we needed them, very friendly and helpful; and our table couldn't have been better being located being immediately adjacent to the falls. Thank you very much for a great evening.
Our meals were both delicious and cooked to perfection and were accompanied with home made bread with herbed butter. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the Old Mill to my friends.
The food was delicious. Steve was a great waiter and gave us helpful ideas. He listened carefully to our order and brought our meal out in a timely fashion. We had a lovely lunch by the waterfalls.
Cauliflower soup - absolutely delicious! Lovely spinach salad, steak very good!
My family and I were celebrating a birthday at the brunch buffet. We loved the desserts, especially the crepe station and chocolate fountain and quality of the desserts. The oysters were a little smaller than we had before, but the crab legs were great. However, the variety of the main dishes were limited. I would give them five stars if there are more main dish options. Overall, service was good and the atmosphere inside and outside are wonderful.
great visual restaurant. The menu is great because it was very simple and not complicated. Very easy to order. The view of the water fall is amazing and so was the service. I would go back.
Went for Sunday brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. Beautiful scenic view from our table. Food selection was fantastic. Lots of options for gluten-free diet. Waiter even brough over a "gluten-free" brownie with white chocolate sauce and a candle for the birthday girl. All in all a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon celebrating a special occasion!
Excellent Sunday brunch, wonderful variety all of high quality. Highly recommend.
The best brunch I have ever had! All the food was so fresh!
Beautiful setting, fantastic service. Food was fine, but really not memorable. Servings of Bouillabaisse was very small and the broth was weak and disappointing. Given the prices, would have expected more. Have always been happy with brunch, but probably would not go back for dinner.
I would have liked to see some change in the buffet offerings
We had great time with my friend. Drove from Kitchener for the lunch and will come back again.
It's a great brunch spot, wide menu with something for everyone, nothing exceptional but always enjoyable.
Had a wonderful time celebrating my daughter’s birthday and my parents 59th wedding anniversary! The food was excellent...such a variety to choose from. The seafood bar with fresh oysters and smoked salmon was one of my favourite areas.
Beautiful setting fabulous brunch Highly recommend. Especially for any type of celebration.
The service and food was wonderful. It was busy but never felt overwhelming the seating works out very well so you never feel crowded. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The only thing I would recommend is that the hostess who checks you in offers coat check instead of you having to ask for it.
Just another nice brunch in here. We are trying to have brunch in here every month.
Menu had very little to choose from and the selections had too much game meat on the menu. they also had no feature dishes for the night. Was overpriced for the food we received. Staff was excellent and atmosphere was beautiful.
I took my mother and her sisters for a Christmas luncheon. It was lovely. They accommodated my one aunt who wanted mushrooms in her omelette. Service was very good.
Delicious food, attentive service, wonderful view ... pratically perfect!
Went there for New Year’s Day brunch. This was my 3rd visit for brunch. The food is always amazing and the staff give great friendly service.
We casually decided to check out the Mill on a Sunday evening a month after moving into the Dundas/Ancaster area.
Pleasantly surprised by the Sunday dinner set menu! The food was delicious, seasonal and well balanced between courses. To top it off the dining room, built as an extension to the exterior of the original building, is cozy and inviting with a beautiful view of the onsite waterfall.
The servers were a delight, both personable and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience.
Highly recommend!!
What a beautiful restaurant with delicious food! Loved it!
Menu is the same for every brunch. Food is freshly made. You will never get your table on arrival in spite of reservation. They will keep you waiting for 10 minutes before taking you to the table. Once at the table, service is good.
The food, service and the ambiance were amazing. Freshly made seafoods, salad and cheese stations, a variety of hot dishes, prime rib, beef, lamb and turkey, and delicious dessert and pastries stations. We will come back again for the brunch!
