Best spot any night of the week
I thought portions were rather small... 3 tacos $15.50 fine but cammeron and calamari are over $20 and should come with sides for that price... I eat out lots , food was great, but for the simplicity the price/ portions are not in line
Ordered guacamole, roasted corn on the cob, pork and fish tacos and margaritas. Guacamole and roasted corn were not as even close to as good as we're used to from this place. Tacos and margaritas on the other hand was great. We highly recommended this place to some friends and we all left disappointed this visit, don't think our friends will go back; however, we'll be back hoping it was just a one off, it happens.
Good food, very loud... reservation well in advance and got the table right by the door, cold and hard to get in and out of...found it was too loud to talk...more bar than restaurant for a 730 Saturday dinner.
It's too expensive for a restaurant that claims to serve Mexican food and you don't even get to try the real flavors... and if you do its very pricy for what you get.
Great selection of Tequila
Food is great
Good value, especially during Happy Hour
Service took longer than I anticipated
Brought my friend from out of town for a nice Friday out. Food was good, really enjoyed the table made guacamole. Classic marg lacked a little flavor, and prices are a little higher but it is in Mission. Service was alright, guy was prompt enough but lacked personality and wasn't overly friendly.
Overall a good experience. Prices were a bit high for tacos and margaritas. Great ambiance however.
This was my first time there and I was blown away by the service and the food. Can't wait to go again 😁
Best patio on 4th with the best selection of tequilas ever!
The food was excellent. Portions were perfect, just the right level of heat. The staff was fantastic, very helpful, answered any and all questions. The only down side was that we were seated next to a very large, loud group that drowned out all conversations around them
Enjoyed an awesome meal of tacos and drinks. Tried the beef, chicken and chorizo tacos with Pico de Gallo and our favorite was the Chorizo. In drinks my wife really enjoyed the Guava Margarita. The staff was friendly, the music was good and we had a great evening.
White Peach Margaritas and Table Side Guacamole... amazing!
Great restaurant but would not recommend for a first date as the space is quite loud.
Good food, feels authentic, and great service.
Awesome food and service
The place is great, but we ordered tacos and the tortillas were pretty cold.
Best tacos and guac ever!! The margaritas help as well!!
We made a reservation for four but when we were seated, there were only 2 seats. They added 2 more seats but then we were squished between the ordering register and the door leading to outside seating, of which one of us kept getting jostled every time a waiter needed to go outside to serve.
The person seating us was not very friendly to begin with so that didn’t help us get a good feel.
The servers were good and made up for that.
The food is excellent. Especially the guacamole.
The place is crowded and with that, noisy.
Food and drinks were fantastic. Our server was very displeased and behaved as though it was an inconvenience to serve us. On top of everything, we were celebrating a birthday.
Come here all the time and it’s almost always great, but service this time around was really bad. Nice enough server, but nowhere near the level of service we’re used to having.
Cerviche was just fair, lamb shank was good, but dry, tacos were average at best. Tequila was good!
Loved the seasonal white peach margarita! We were seated upstairs which was nice because it was a little quieter and had a nice vibe to it. Server was awesome, no problems at all! Always great food and drinks here.
Food was good and the service great! The margaritas are amazing!
Fun spot for a lunch out with a friend. Two tacos, guac & chips and delicious margarita for $20 is a good deal. Will visit again. Friendly suggestion to make more homemade salsas for an authentic touch.
I've been to Anejo many times and have always loved their margaritas and the good service. This time, through my Opentable reservation, I explicitly requested that they bring out a piece of cake/brownie/any other dessert for my boyfriend's birthday. We had multiple cocktails, ordered food and churros, but there was no cake or even a mention of a 'happy birthday'. I'm honestly disappointed that they did not pay any attention to a customer's request and somewhat ruined the special event for us.
Loved it! Music was a bit too loud for our liking, hard to hear each other without yelling :(
Great tacos and margaritas though :)
Nice food but a bit on the expensive side. Somewhat noisy
Love happy hour margaritas and tacos. Fresh guacamole prepared table side tasted very good with the addition of jalapeño and cilantro. The flight of assorted tacos all had differing flavours though the pork was considered a bit tough by one of our table mates. Servers were attentive but not overly so.
At first I was worried when we arrived. The music was so loud, I thought my elderly companions (80 and 90) would not like it - but the first thing they both said was "This is so much fun". The guacamole was amazing and the margaritas were as well.
The food was excellent and the margheritas were even better. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you!
Great as always! Love the consistency and friendly staff.
Food was quite good. Drinks really good as well. Way too noisy! This detracted from the experience.
Was able to get a last minute reservation after an unfortunate experience at Cleaver. We were able to get a spot on the patio- an enjoyed some margaritas, guacamole and ginger shrimp- everything was amazing. Great service! Will certainly be back!
Margaritas are amazing and the food is excellent. My favorite spot in the city.
Poor service. Cold food. Very expensive for the quality.
Server was unengaging and so what rude, but the person who brought out the food was good to provide suggestions and advice. Service was very slow.
Despite lots of open tables, we (2 couples) were seated in a dark crowded corner next to families with children.
We had the special tuna tacos and white peach margaritas - delicious!
Came to Anejo once last year and it was fantastic. This time around, it was only okay. The service was quite terrible and the quality of the tacos just weren’t there. Perhaps the lack of staff contributed to the bad service but likely would come back again to let the restaurant redeem themselves.
Fantastic food and service
Server was very inattentive and very little interaction from him.
