Anis Cafe and Bistro
The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.
Anis is comprised of an inside dining room and an outside patio area that is available for seating year round, and a charming little bar where you may enjoy a meal if you wish.
Widely known as one of the most romantic dining spots in the city, Anis is a great place to meet up with friends and can cater to large parties with ease.
Reservations are accepted and encouraged.
Join us for live Brazilian jazz on Thursday evenings.
We celebrated my Birthday and it was perfect form the Martinis to dessert. The music was on the patio was the perfect background to the best duck I've had since we were in France. The evening ended only when we consumed every bite of the beautiful and delicious dessert sampler. Chocolate lovers take note. Do not miss this.
You can never go wrong with Anis! Great food and staff!
Very enjoyable meal, excellent service.
Randomly found this place as we were looking for a dinner spot on a Saturday evening. OpenTable took us to Anis - and oh my! I am so thankful we tried this restaurant. Just perfect and delicious.
Especially perfect for the day good wine Boulanger and salads Nicoise
Anis is always consistently great! We had a wonderful "date nite", sat at a table in the bar (which is our favorite), and had beautiful food and drink. Love this restaurant!
We had a wonderful evening as always at this quaint French Bistro. The food was exceptional as expected. And the charming setting never gets old. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our 10th anniversary.
Been here 5-6 times; took a party of 8 out last Saturday; great service and food; waiter was outstanding as most are; a bit stuffy on the parking but it always works out.
Service was perfunctory at best. Waitress seemed put off by the fact that we didn’t want to order until we received our appetizer. The soda water in a Campari and soda was flat. My wife’s salmon was fine but my Ribeye was over cooked — asked for medium rare not even pink anywhere. For a ribeye it much flavor. Would not go there again.
We had absolutely terrible table service from a server named Ty. She was rude and inattentive. It took 15 minutes to get hot water for tea, and another 15 minutes for her to remember to bring the cream for coffee I ordered after lunch, by which point my coffee was already cold.
Wonderful experience as usual - Anis always pleases with excellent wine, food and service.
the services was incredibly slow. waited for 45 min for the check and the waiter had to ask twice what we all had. kind of left a bad impression and sadly because I love the place.
Wonderful Bistro with ambiance! It can get a little loud but otherwise a really great time with really great food!
Super neighborhood spot. Our “go to”. Mussels won’t disappoint. Patio seating is recommended but it can be loud.
Our party of six had a great birthday celebration dinner at Anis. The food was all so good and our service was excellent.
We started with a lovely dry Rose and the mussels in white wine sauce with fries, the mussels were cooked perfectly and the white wine sauce was so delicious that we wanted to sop it all up with the crusty bread. The fries were amazing as well. My sister had the trout, cooked so well that you could eat the skin and I had the special of a heavenly mushroom risotto topped with mahi mahi. Finally we finished off our feast by sharing the orange strawberry sorbet which came with lovely fresh fruit on top.
The food was great especially the beef filet was amazing. Staff were friendly, had a great time
Our 47th anniversary evening was one of the loveliest we've ever had. As always, our appetizer, entrees, wine, coffee and desserts were well paired and delicious, and our server was efficient, knowledgeable, and one of those superior, attentive waiters who never intrude...a total pleasure in service. The evening music was primarily in French, romantic easy listening and excellent execution.
One of my favorite restaurants.
I love this neighborhood jewell! It's my favorite place to go in Buckhead.
We were seated right away. Waiter came to the table immediately and was very attentive. Chef Jeff out did himself with a fabulous multi course meal. I rate this place a 12!
Seated 45 minutes after our reservation. Very crowded and nowhere to wait.
The restaurant is xlnt. Love the setting, not too showy. Out of town guest loved it. Was a little disappointed in the table location and setting. The wait staff almost stumbled onto our table a couple of times. We felt like we were in the way. Our table was the only table with brown paper on it. That said, the food was spectacular...as usual. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! Highly recommended...
10 dollar salad that is a 6 dollar salad elsewhere!
WAY TOO noisy!
We had a wonderful dining experience at Anis (from the food to the services). Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Always always excellent!
I’ve been a fan over the years but this lunch was not good. I had the pan-sautéed chicken and pasta. Pasta was bland and over cooked and chicken was odd tasting. But this was a one-off experience.
The food and service was excellent. My friend, Jennifer Anderton, recommended Anis Cafe and I want to call her and thank her for a wonderful recommendation and an amazing restaurant experience!
Wonderful, as always! My favorite Atlanta restaurant.
Anis is a great neighborhood spot that is quirky, delicious and always fun. We had the escargot and mussels and they were wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.
As always, my dining experience was great. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The service is friendly and prompt, without being overly solicitous. It is a great place for meaningful conversations with family and loved ones. It is one of our favorite restaurants!
Exceptional, as always. 😍
$38 for a small pile of potatoes and a 6 oz steak.
You will spend $80 for two and leave hungry.
Great service, good food, cozy romantic place. Will recommend it for a dinner night.
Quaint place with wonderful food. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive and his knowledge about the dishes was very helpful. We loved the food and the desserts were delightful!
We will be back to visit soon! Can't wait to come for brunch.
We have both been to Anis many times and the food was very disappointing this time. The ribeye was barely warm, and the vegetables were horrible - a mixture of leeks and capers that was very watery and made the whole plate wet. My girlfriend ordered the duck - the portion was large but the duck was dry - no sauce of any kind. Pretty plain. Not up to their usual standards.
The filet was superb! We love this restaurant - it's our go-to for a nice evening out.
Chris took great care of a party of ten 16 year olds celebrating a birthday!
Terrific trout. The best I've ever had. Wonderful steak. Attentive but not obtrusive service. A thoroughly pleasant evening.
