Good was excellent but service was poor. Had to wait a long time for drink refills and plates to be cleared
This is one of the most amazing restaurant's ever. I always bring clients here instead of the traditional Steak house type place as the food here is unique and amazing. You literally have to come this restaurant a number of times so you can try everything on the menu! It's that good across the board.
The King Crab was subpar, must have Garlic Noodles was pathetic, the Lobster dumpling was decent, the sashimi was so so! Service was good from Chris.
Beautiful restaurant, had the tuna tacos which were amazing & the snapper which was good but could have been more flavorful. Dessert was a chocolate mousse bombe that was delicious & our cocktail was wonderful too. Some of the dishes seem overpriced. Overall a tasty pleasant experience.
Music was a little loud but other than that, it was superb! I wish I had known about this restaurant 10 years ago. We really enjoyed the food , desserts, and the drinks!
Went to Anqi with high expectation via a friend, whose recommendations are always great. Food was not as good as I thought. Not sure if COVID has affected the restaurants but the quality was less than what I expected. I got their famous dungeons crab but I can’t say day I’ll have it again for $95:/
My son and I enjoyed a lovely lunch. The server assisted us in selecting the perfect dishes. We will be back soon.
Anqi is a polarizing restaurant in my family. My wife and son have eaten there before and enjoyed their food. I experienced them for the first time this weekend and things (primarily the food) were hit or miss. The restaurant is nicely decorated with adequate spacing between tables and kept clean. The service was very good. The music was louder than I like and while the room was mostly dark, there were spotlights over most tables which helped. My wife got a Vietnamese coffee which she always enjoys. The beef pho my son and I got were delicious. I asked for the bean sprouts to be steamed, but for some reason, they told me they were unable to do that. Despite that, the pho was fantastic. I would get it again. The portion was good and everything was fresh. The fish my son ordered was also delicious. The portion was a tad smaller than expected and the rice it was served on was a bit oily, but the fish itself was great and he finished it quickly. My wife enjoyed her garlic noodles (she described them as being "the same as last time" which is high praise for her), though the chicken skewers were okay. They did not stand out in particular. We had an order of truffle fries which were very good but very rich. We enjoyed them nonetheless. Finally, we had an order of dumplings. While my wife and son did enjoy them, I could not discern any unique flavors to them. These were the biggest miss of the meal for me. The texture was nice and it was fresh, but the dumplings themselves were lacking to me. Our meal came out to just over $170 for the 3 of us after tax and tip. Some dishes were definitely better than others. I would not rule out coming back here again to try other dishes, but I think we will try out the new restaurant across the way before we venture back here again. Anqi is worth trying at least once and the menu is varied enough that you will definitely find something you enjoy. Just be aware that there could be a miss here and there.
Great service, great food, amazing atmosphere! Will look forward to comming back again!
Martinis very disappointing, but server did correct it after we brought it to his attention. Sadly, server never checked on us. We could’ve used a glass of wine during our dinner. He returned after we finished our meal. In addition, no one recognized my B. Day celebration even when I highlighted this on the reservation.
Great ambience, great service and ALWAYS amazing food. My favorite restaurant in OC.
It was our 12 year anniversary
Great food and service (see my Yelp review)
Would definitely come back
A bit pricey but worth the splurge for an anniversary
The Food at Anqi is always excellent. Great location
How can you have satay without peanut sauce. If you need to keep barbecued skewers ion the menu then call them that but don’t call them satay. If you are going to serve models with
Black been sauce then perhaps try using some.
This is not the Anqii I knew.
Which a shame
We had an excellent experience! Food was perfectly prepared and delicious! Our server was very efficient. We’ll be back!
Really great dining experience- great family style dishes, everything was excellent!
Celebrated my birthday
Service and friendliness of everyone from the hostess, to the woman who showed us to our table, to our server, Chris was amazing. Creative cocktails and food - a bit overpriced, though.
We’ve recently moved after going to Anqi once or twice a month for years. This was our first time back and it was as good as always. We miss you guys!!
Amazing service, even better food! Food I fantastic! Phenomenal! Garlic noodles are a must try, if you have not already. The servers are also very attentive and accommodating. It is however, pricey and moderate portion sizes. If you haven't already been here, you should treat 😉yourself!
Our first time...everything was excellent...the food, server and the space!
Garlic noodles and ribeye steak were exceptional. Loved the so buns and tuna tacos!
We celebrated my Mother in law’s 84th Birthday.
This was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
Chris was amazing!!
My butterfish was excellent! Friends l loved their Tuna Tacos. My husband said his beef satay was dry and he thought having only three medium-sized shrimp on the "large plate" Tiger Prawns with garlic noodles wasn't enough--especially given the high price. Bidthday dessert for our friend was small and not very impressive. Atmosphere is great--high ceilings and dramatic decor make dining there feel like a special occasion.
Way overpriced from noodles.
How a dinner for 2 can be 137.00 and still hungry boggles the mind
Portions are small
This restaurant has an air of exaggeration for its food. The "An's famous" garlic noodles were not even as good as what I could make at home with dry noodles and a packet of good sauce. The "An's famous" roasted Dungeness crab was the most disappointing dish at $70 a dish. It is simply not the way to present or eat a crab. We like the desserts, orange peel chicken and shaken beef. But the rest of the meal did not meet our expectation. We probably will not revisit the restaurant and will not recommend it to friends.
The server was fabulous.
Good food, a little expensive though.
Ambient lighting could be a little better, it was just a little on the dark side. Our server was great and helpful. The boss boys were great as well. I liked the paintings on the walls giving authenticity. Overall it is a great restaurant with great service. Pricing is on the high side.
Very tasty food
Went there to celebrate my birthday and it was an amazing experience! Our server was so patient and accommodating. The food was great overall although on the pricer side for Asian cuisine. Atmosphere was energetic and lively but still great for a romantic date.
Our server was wonderful, restaurant was nice and clean. They had hand sanitizer every where. Food was great, I especially enjoy the garlic noodle
Food always excellent. Service a bit slow, need to remind server our needs (serving utensils). Otherwise food was top notch.
The food and service were fantastic! Great Fathers' Day dinner!
Our server Chris was fantastic! His energy and attentiveness made the visit one of our best to date!!
We had a lot of questions for our winter. We have never had many of these dishes before. He helped us out tremendously. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Overall the experience was good. The food was delicious and cooked well. For the price I do wish we would have gotten a bit more food.
Had a business dinner here, so ordered lots of different dishes. Everything tasted fantastic
Food was great. Portions were pretty small though. Ambiance a bit tired. Service was a bit lacking compared to prior visits. Makes we wonder about the value proposition a bit. Not quite as special as I remember from the past.
