Antica Trattoria is a warm restaurant with an old-fashioned sense of hospitality that quickly became a gathering place for dinners in Lake Murray and the rest of San Diego when it opened in 2001. For Executive Chef and Owner Francesco Basile, good cuisine is about honest flavors, fresh ingredients, and simplicity. That's the kind of food he grew up eating by the seaside in Sicily and it's what he learned in culinary school in Italy.

Why eat ordinary when you can eat extraordinary?

About reservations: We have a 15-minute grace period. Please call us if you will be running later than 15 minutes. If a later time slot is available, you may be able to switch your reservation.

We may contact you, so please ensure your email and phone number are up to date. Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 4 guests; 2 hours for parties of 5 to 8 guests; and 2 hours 30 minutes for parties of 9+. We cannot guarantee special request for tables.

    The food is always been excellent at this restaurant. The service has always been very good. The noise level is pretty high. That’s the only downfall is the noise in the restaurant other than that everything is great.

    My friends and I went to Antica Trattoria for San Diego restaurant week. It was the menu that we could all pick from. The Appetizers were delicious as well as the main entrees and the desserts. We ordered a wine our dinner. This place is fabulous and we will definitely come back here again.

    The food is amazing, but our server Heather made our dining experience even better. She took great care of us and was very attentive to our needs. Thank you Heather!

    I ordered from the food week menu and my wife ordered from the regular menu. The salad and desert portion of my dinner was horrible. Both dishes were hardly more than a taste. The salad was drenched in balsamic and the tiramisu was mushed and hardly more than a couple of bites. The waiter forgot I ordered from the food week menu and didn’t know I had dessert coming, then gave me someone else’s bill. My wife received six raviolis for $32., which is I guess okay. It was tasty. My calamari was very good but came with 3 shrimp. Overall, overpriced, small portions, bad service

    Everything was fantastic. From the bread to the salad and the pappardelle was delicious. And then the desserts were incredible. This restaurant is always on point. The bartender who is the owner/ chef’s daughter is a sweetheart. See you very soon.

    We enjoyed a wonderful 3-course Restaurant Week dinner. Very, very busy, but our server kept up and had a nice smile. The wine bar is excellent, too.
