Fabulous dover sole, haricot verts, and creme brulee! My sons also thoroughly enjoyed their steaks. Overall, it was a great Mothers Day experience! We will definitely return to Aquitaine! Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible. Good food, amazing service. Such hospitality. I drove from Western Massachusetts to meet a friend for dinner and I will 100% be back again. So much food I didn’t get to try!

I can't say enough about our brunch!! David was the BEST waiter and the food was probably the best breakfast I've had in years! It's a beautiful restaurant and the bar is a gorgeous work of art. Also, the '80's playlist was so good I had to ask if they made it themselves and in fact, they did! I can't wait to back!!

Dined by myself for this one and loved the experience. Servers were incredibly attentive and gave great recommendations. Ordered the steak frites and chocolate mousse. Bread and hors d'oeuvres were both incredible as well. Would definitely dine here again next time Im in Boston!

Place is very nice and cozy, food was good not exceptional but really good, a bit difficult to park, however service was disappointing. It wasn’t just the server, the whole crew was not interested or wanted to be bothered. We had a reservation when we walked in the host didn’t greet us he just gave us a head shake like what’s up (cool), sat 20 min later than reservation that’s fine but host didn’t acknowledge anything just like “you can wait for your table here” “ your table is ready”, I promise neither server or table runner ever greeted us or asked how’s anything we ordered, they drop the food and they’re gone. Overall the experience was okay.

Once again, I did everything but lick my plate. There was not a crumb left after I savored a delicious Sole Meuniere with a side of haricot vert. The crisp Sancerre was wonderful with the dish. And I treated myself to a lemon tart that was the perfect tart finish to the meal. Aquitaine is always consistently good and I'm happy to recommend it to other diners. An especially great pre-theatre meal.

We were returning to Aquitaine for the first time since Covid arrived. The food was outstanding: Filet Mignon, Sole, and Duck. We have learned to expect that at Aquitaine. However, the chocolate mousse had more whipped cream than mousse in the bowl. Our waiter was very good. However, his assistants were not. When the entrees were presented, they had to ask who got which meal. The women at the table were not served first. When one person had finished his meal, they attempted to clear that plate before the others were finished. And when all were finished, the men's plates were cleared first. We expect better of Aquitaine.

The service was slow -- we had to wait quite a while for our main courses -- but I think they were short-staffed. I have gotten used to this problem during the pandemic and post-pandemic era. The food is outstanding, and I am always pleased to see the number of choices on the menu. In some restaurants there are only a couple of things I want to order. At Aquitaine I want to order almost everything on the menu.

My wife and I have tried many of the Boston area French / French fusion restaurants and this was by far one of our favorite. Our waitress was fantastic, the endive salad was delicious, I throughly enjoyed my fig manhattan, and our steak frites + coq au vin were delicious. Our waitress was fantastic and the ambience was awesome. Great music. Will absolutely go back.

Another amazing meal at Aquitaine! Our waitperson Fabio, was attentive, timed our meal perfectly, and was helpful in every way. My husband had the swordfish, and I had the sole, and they were both expertly prepared. The freshly baked bread is worth the trip alone. Exquisite, authentic french food in Boston's South End. Thank you Aquitaine for maintaining such high standards, and having such a great team. We will return!

Service was outstanding! Prices felt a little high for lunch. $5 for a coke? I really appreciate the attention to detail. When I made my reservation via Open Table, I indicated it was for a birthday, and the staff provided a surprise birthday dessert at the end of lunch. Very sweet touch :)

Had a wonderful evening at Aquitaine. I had moved away from Boston several months ago and was back for a short visit. Aquitaine had always been a fave and it was my 1st choice for a little reunion with my South End friends. Dinner was excellent. Server, David, was attentive and made sure we had a great time. Already looking forward to the next visit!

Great evening at Aquitaine. Food was wonderful, and in an era of very spotty service post-COVID, the service at Aquitaine was outstanding - best I’ve had in a long time. This is a super charming upscale bistro and always worth a visit.

We had a great brunch! This is my second brunch at Aquitane and it is tremendous. Love the 80'/90's music as well. The staff is very attentive and professional. Our server was fantastic and I wish I recalled his name. Suffice to say, everyone there was nice! The food was terrific. The Franch Toast, Croque Madame to the bread was great. Can not wait to go back!!
