Overall a great experience. The Branzino fish with diver scallops on risotto was incredible. Great selecrion of oysters, exceptional sashimi a fantastic steak and incredible housemade mushroom pasta. Depth and balance in every bite. Incredible service from Tessa. The best meal I have eaten in a year. Do it. Book that reso. The other great thing was that the tables are spaced enough and angled in a way that you arent facing adjacent tables. Very private dining in an incredibly busy restaraunt.

Loved Araxi! I have been here many times and they continue to execute perfectly. The service was the best that I can recall. The oysters are top notch and the meat and fish dishes are superb!

Araxi never fails to impress. I try to eat there for my birthday every year. It is the best place in Whistler hands down.

Araxi was perfect. My wonderful partner had organised this amazing 2wk holiday for me to join him in Whistler. Dinner at Araxi was the perfect way to celebrate the end of this amazing time together. The food, the service, the ambience created a wonderful experience. We will be back.

Lovely venue, delicious food beautifully presented without preciousness, - good thing the full menu is offered with bar seating because this place is deservedly popular. Convenient location, so they get families with kids and handle them well! Professional service at its best: alert and thoughtful yet unobtrusive - immediate removal of used plates /cutlery and replenishment of water / bread. Adrianne identified a corked scent just opening the bottle, and totally earned her 25% tip.
Make your reservation well in advance!

Been coming here for over 6 years and sad to say I won't be going back. Terrible waiters, slow food delivery and no attention to service. Compared to the rest of Whistler fine dining Araxi has to step up its game to stay relevant or realize it's doom of becoming a tourist trap. I fear it's too late for the former.

Overall fairly unimpressive. The food was really mediocre, especially after all the hype. It’s hard to ruin Black Sea bass or fillet mignon but, somehow, they managed to do that. Overcooked on both counts. Service was abysmal. We waited and waited for our server. At one point our appetizer plates sat, untouched and dirty (after having eaten) for over 15 minutes.
I can only hope this can be attributed to the day being January 1st, but that’s hardly a good excuse.

Araxi always provides an exceptional dining experience. This time they went beyond the call on service.

Araxi always has great service... but this time our food took longer than expected. Some large groups were ahead of us. They didn't make excuses, they just did all the right things to fix it... doubling down on service, bill adjustments without us having to make an uncomfortable ask, and some nice finishes to the meal.

Did way more than comparable restaurants ever would have.

Thanks Araxi. Made for a better than usual visit, in spite of the hiccups.

Worth mentioning their kids menu -- not your usual offering. They adapt the adult menu with kid friendly portions and prices (our daughter eats like a mouse, but we like her getting a healthy meal), or offer delicious adaptations to classics (e.g. avocado sushi roll). Everyone gets a good meal.

We will call again, as we always do when in Whistler.

Great food, great service, great ambiance, kids loved the kids' menu and the parents enjoyed the adult food and drinks! Oysters were fantastic. Everything our waiter recommended, we ordered and loved every bite and sip.

Service started okay but quickly fell off a cliff with wait time about 45’mins after an array of shared starters. No communication. No apology - even when my main failed to arrive for a good 5 mins after everyone else’s had. Totally disappointing and would not waste my $$$ there for that kind of experience - EVER again. The food whilst good, is easy to find at any good restaurant! Be prepared to WAIT!!!

Our reservation was for 10 pm on Christmas night because that was the only time available on open table and we booked the table 2 weeks in advance. We showed up early and luckily were seated early which was great as there were several open tables. The hostess said they tried to call us but somehow they had the wrong number. I'm not sure how that was possible. Our waiter was annoyed we were not ordering a lot of drinks and apps but it was so late! I ordered a dish with prawns and when it was served it was the smallest count of shrimp. My husband uses shrimp larger than what I ate for Bait! No apologies or discussion about the fact that they had run out of prawns. I think they just assumed I didn't know the difference! Overall not the Christmas dinner we were expecting!

A table for 4 for Christmas evening was booked months in advance. On arrival it was clear to see how busy the restaurant was. We were seated and almost immediately informed of expected delays. We ordered drinks, and had breads for the table. After a little wait, we ordered. After a longer wait, our food arrived. When we finished, it took a long time for our table to be cleared, by which time we had been there over 2.5hrs and hadn’t ordered desserts. It definitely appeared like the restaurant was over-staffed on the floor yet possibly under-staffed in the kitchen. Plates were falling and breaking, sauces spilling off plates onto floor and staff bumping into each other. We left without ordering desserts as it just got too late in the evening and the noise level was getting high. Even though it wasn’t a great first experience, I think I would go back, as each of our entrees were very tasty indeed and presentation was excellent. The atmosphere I believe would be great on a less busy occasion.

Food was very good. I would rate the service higher if it wasn't for the lady that received us at the entrance. She looked very annoyed, so we just stayed quiet and waited for another person to guide us to our seats. Ambience and service improved when people started to leave, but the lady that received us stayed grumpy to the very end. Cheer up, it's Chritsmas eve! :)

My husband and I were there to celebrate an anniversary. I was about to cancel my reservation because we could only get in at 9:15, however they were able to fit us in earlier. We had a great evening...the food, the service, the atmosphere....everything was wonderful. The steak was cooked to perfection and the beet salad was excellent. We will definitely be back.

More than equal to the good reviews. A wonderful experience, our best and only really memorable meal in Whistler. We had the trout and tuna entrees. Bread was great, including the gluten-free bread/toast, all served with a creamy butter. (Minor quibble: bread at this kind of place should be warm/hot.)
They offer a nice carafe of wine (2/3 of a bottle) which is perfect for two. More affordable and less potent than a full bottle. Attentive but not obsequious service.
Pricey, of course, but less expensive than the far inferior Bearfoot Bistro, which is often spoken of in the same breath as Araxi. It shouldn't be.

Araxi lived up to everything we had heard about it. Starting with lovely welcome at door, coats handled with care, ticketed and placed in cloakroom.
We were very lucky to be seated in small room with about 6 tables. Our waiter was first class ; chatty, informed, friendly, attentive but not hovering over us.
Food just amazing and we enjoyed some local BC wine @ very reasonable prices.
