Great view, great food, nice drinks, what more can you ask for.
Great service and excellent gluten free French toast
The service was outstanding, I found good value for the food.
Excellent lunch - Clubhouse, Caesar salad, grilled cheese and tomato soup was quite tasty. Very quiet during our lunch since it was not busy...appreciated the attentive and friendly service.
Excellent service. Everyone’s meal was tasty and we were pleased with the meal
The meals were quite nice (Arctic char, venison) the desserts weren’t as nice (peanut butter pretzel pie thing, pumpkin ice cream). One dessert was free since it was my wife’s birthday which was a nice touch. Good service, good ambience, good drinks (but pricey).
The service is excellent. The food is excellent. Windows face the convention centre, so if you have a table by the window, you see only a bit of the harbour, in the gap between the two buildings of the convention centre. The shape of the room is a bit strange.
Service was excellent and food well prepared. Arc exceeded our expectations! Stephanie was our hostess for breakfast and she was delightful, engaging and customer focused as well as our server for dinner. Enjoyed the live music during dinner and the bar was busy! They offer a diverse wine list. Highly recommend this restaurant!
A stylish downtown venue suited to a business lunch where making an impression is important. Attentive service, wonderful cuisine, beautiful views of Canada Place and harbour. As you might expect, all at a premium price.
Went on a week night and wasn’t that busy. Had a Good view of Canada Place and the harbour at night. The food looked and tasted Fantastic. Enjoyed the evening very much.
Caesar salad was tasty and fresh, flavour of Ribeye was good but quality of meat was poor, hard to cut and gristly, not worth the $58 price tag, crab cakes were disappointing, tasted like they could have been previously frozen or supplied by generic food supplier. Wine list was limited
Lovely ambience, service was great and food was good. Wasn’t disappointed
Went for dinner, food was mediocre and not worth the price point. Had the gnocchi and it was very bland. The liver pate had an unusual texture/too liquidy. I couldn't finish either dish. Service was good but overall would not recommend.
It's a decent place for a quiet date night. :)
Definitely will recommend, although it is definitely kind of pricey
The complete package. Great food experience. Exemplary service. Lovely setting. Well priced. The ideal date night.
Service very slowly, and the food so so , in the restaurant very cold.
Food and service were excellent. Nice ambiance, very comfortable seating, open and bright, yet warm and a good place for a quiet lunch. Our server, Karla, was outstanding!
Met with a colleague for a business lunch.
Setting is nice near Canada place near the water.
Very elegant decor. Highlight was our server who had that perfect sense of being there just when you needed them and also going you room to have a conversation.
Food was excellent as well.
It was a quiet lunch day January Monday. The food was outstanding and has an excellent selection on the menu. The service was also impeccable; we were very impressed with the quality, speed and professionalism of the wait staff. We will definitely return.
Fabulous dining and live entertainment experience.
Thought a holiday season family dinner at a Fairmont would be memorable... it wasn’t !
Main dining room was the breakfast place with dim lighting. No holiday atmosphere!!
Server was great... menu limited! Nothing lived up to expectations of the Fairmont name.
Thank you. It was so enjoyable.
Fabulous! Wonderful service, food and ambiance!
Great evening. Arc continues to deliver. Excellent food and arrive.
Arc was recommended by a friend specifically for brunch. We went for a birthday brunch and once we let our server know, service was all about her, as it should be! Our server was amazing, he was attentive and took very good care of us. The birthday girl got an amazing platter of desserts at the end of our meal that she was very happy with. Thank you for making a part of our day special!
Very noisy with live music and music from ballroom. Service was super slow. They are really understaffed.
The Cobb salad is usually good. This time it was below the usual standard. Two lumps of chicken ( vs sliced) and large chunks of lettuce ( usually more finely chopped) isn’t the way it is normally prepared.
Our family dined at the ARC last night to celebrate my wife's birthday. This was our first visit there. First the positives:
- Central location, with great view of Canada Place
- Excellent ambiance in this arc-shaped restaurant
- Excellent, friendly service from our server
Now the areas that left us unenthused:
- SLOW service. It seemed to take forever for the next dishes to arrive. And not even a single dinner roll to keep us occupied in the meantime. Was there only one server for the entire back half of the restaurant?
- The food was good, but not any better than other popular restaurants that cost half as much.
- The price seemed really high for what you get. $10 for a virgin cocktail; $6 for a coffee with no refill offered. $14 for a dessert that was a scoop of ice cream with some sprinklings of "pie shards".
We were puzzled by the menu, which was just several sheets of paper in a clipboard. The food selection didn't seem that great. They used a lot more ink describing their alcohol.
We were trying this restaurant as we had a sizable gift certificate to defray most of the total. Without a certificate, I cannot say that we would dine in this restaurant.
I have been to ARC several times over the last 2 years and have had great experiences. I love the space, and service is always excellent and thoughtful. I think that the happy hour pricing and choices is excellent. And when I've taken clients here (on expense account), perhaps I'm not super price-sensitive.
A couple of days ago I invited a friend for lunch at ARC and was shocked at the bill. Well over $100 for two starters, 2 small-ish mains and 2 glasses of wine. I think the wine prices were particularly shocking. I can't justify coming back again when there are so many restaurants around that would serve something as good for much less. ARC has tweaked its menu recently, and perhaps set prices too high. I'd come back for happy hour, not for lunch.
Great service, good food
We came for the seafood platter for 2 (appie-sized), and we were NOT disappointed. Everything on it was amazing.
Our server went the extra mile to have the kitchen prepare a separate seafood chowder without bacon for us. Soup is usually made ahead of time, so this was extra effort.
The risotto was good but not excellent. The rice was slightly crunchy and the flavour could've used more layers; it was a bit too simplistic.
I ordered the burnt honey (from their own beehives!) ice cream – phenomenal. Incredible flavour.
Modern atmosphere with both dark tiled floor area with floor-to-ceiling windows, or more cozy, carpeted area with more padded seating away with the windows.
Overpriced for subpar service and food quality. A multitude of options to pick from that provide far better value for the price they charge here.
Ambiance was lackluster.
Service was nonchalant and awkward.
Came for birthday which no enthusiasm was displayed.
For the price, the food quality was slightly underwhelming. But the location, view, and service are great. I like this restaurant for a business lunch in the area, but don't think it give good value, even on an expense account. Wish I could be more positive.
ARC is one of my go-to restaurants for a business lunch. The location is great, space is bright, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the food (limited menu, have liked everything I've ordered) is quite good. Drinks are pricey, except at happy hour.
The appetizers were balanced and refreshing, particularly the crab cakes, albeit the portion were small. However, the mains lacked any significant depth of flavor. The arc board was also almost room temperature by the time the food got to the table. A bit of a disappointment since the ambiance and service was exceptional.
The food and drinks were incredible. The service was fantastic. The only concern was the pricing was a little high but not unreasonable.
Good food, small portions, expensive
Ordered the Arc Board for myself and wife. Along with local veggies had duck, salmon, and perfectly prepared scallops. Wonderful flavors.
