Arms Reach Bistro
In the heart of Deep Cove lies Arms Reach, a quaint, cozy, bistro next to the beautiful Burrard Inlet & North Shore mountains.

Excellent as usual :)
Wonderful hidden hidden gem in Deep Cove. Great service, food and atmosphere. Highly recommend this for a quiet dinner for 2.
We were visiting Deep Cove and Vancouver from the states. We had a delicious meal - the pasta was phenomenal.
We are locals and have been to Arm's Reach many times. I do not think the menu is as extensive as it once was. (We miss the Chad Salad, the Chosty Ceasar, the seafood linguine, and the ling cod!) Having said that, our dinner on Sunday was good and the location and service are the best! We did have one of the "natural" wines, and there was a lot of sediment...which was not appealing, so we won't do that again. But we always enjoy the view and the excellent service.
Service was great. Great location but the menu seemed not as inspiring as it has been on other visits we have had to Arms Reach.
I got sick from the RBC butter chicken. I used to be fine with it when it was CBC recipe. The new chef is adding chilli powder to it (I called to confirm). Although they made it mild for me, I had an upset stomach all night as I have sensitivities to chilli. Too bad because there aren’t many thing I like on your menu anymore. Also, why no Sauvignon Blancs by the glass???
My friend and I had an excellent experience. We loved the carpaccio and enjoyed the pasta with chicken and goat cheese and the mussels. Our server was friendly and kind. My friend hadn't been to Arms Reach before and said she'd definitely be back. I will also return, for sure. Many thanks!
A must visit when in Deep Cove BC. No question about it.
Overall good, wish if the menu changes a bit, most of the main dishes were the same in years.
Consistently excellent in every category - the location can’t beat. The only difficulty is the parking - it’s extremely busy with tourists in Deep Cove and parking is mostly non-existent whatever the season. Nevertheless, it’s worth circling the block a few times to luck into the elusive space for your car and then celebrate your triumph with a glass from the very good wine list!
Great North Shore restaurant. Limited food options but good.
We enjoyed this lovely bistro for my partners birthday. The staff were exceptional and made us feel very special. Our sommelier waiter was fantastic at matching the wine we had, making sure it complimented each of our dishes! I highly recommend making a reservation!
Great food, great time, great service as always and why it’s still one of my favourites places to dine.
A beautiful location and the staff are focused on providing a great experience. We enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back.
Brought my family members from Australia here as their last dinner before returning home. Meal (and service) was fabulous from start to finish. The only issue was being tucked the left hand corner of the restaurant (next to wine shelves). It was quite tight for a group of 5 and it was hot (even with a fan next to us). But in hindsight I should have asked for a table with a view or at least close to a view.
As always, Arms Reach has no problem accommodating my need for being gluten-free.
This is one of my favourite restaurants - and definitely my favourite on the North Shore.
The food was really good and the service was excellent. A lovely little gem at a beautiful location.
Unfortunately the table of eight next to us was extremely loud, to the point where I had to ask the server to repeat the specials three times. It would have been appreciated if the loud group was asked in a tactful manner to keep the volume down a bit. It's a shame when you spend a few hundred dollars for four to have a dinner together and it being ruined by an obnoxious group.
I’ve been to Arms Reach for dinner twice before and thoroughly enjoyed my food. This time I went for lunch and was extremely disappointed. My friend ordered the $17 garden salad and added a $6 piece of chicken. It virtually looked as if they had taken a handful of lettuce out of a box and that was the extent of it with a tiny piece of chicken added. My pasta was good but presentation very poor for $22. Very bad value for our money.
Hi Nanc21, Thanks for sharing your feedback. I'm sorry you didn't find value in your meal with us and the presentation wasn't up to standards. I will be passing your comments on to the rest of our staff and kitchen. Our garden salad is actually $13 so if you were somehow overcharged, I would definitely like to fix that. We would also like to have the chance to do better and treat you to lunch again. Please get in touch with us with your contact info by email to social@armsreachbistro
Restaurant has gone downhill a bit. While the food was generally very good, it not as good as it used to be.
Service tonight was very poor, had to ask for water several times. It was slightly busy and yet it took a hour for our food. Confirmed reservation at 7:30 finally seated at 8:30. Food arrived at9:30. Not impressed.
We drove across the city, to be able to enjoy a great dinner, to be disappointed.
Restaurant was so hot, we had to go outside to feel better. In this day and age, restaurant should have AC. A mini split system could be installed very easily.
Probebly will not return or recommend.
Compliments to the chef! All of our appetizers and meals were outstanding. I don’t know if the mussels, carpaccio or scallops were my favourite because they were all amazing. They also make a fabulous dirty martini.
Excellent restaurant, a must on North Shore.
We have been there many times, never disappointed.
We always enjoy Arms Reach! Good food, very attentive service. One of our favourite north van placed
Deep Cove was super crowded for a Friday night summer concert that we didn’t know about so we picked a bad night to drive there for dinner! I had read about Arms Reach on Trip Advisor and really wanted to try it out. I was worried the wait would be forever, so while we were Peking I jumped on to Open Table to see I there was any chance of getting a table. I was super excited to find a reservation less than 20 min out! We parked and walked into the main little town strip and were greeted at the host stand by a very friendly man who confirmed our reservation and showed us straight to our table which was right by the window overlooking the Cove! It was fantastic. Our service was on point, drinks and wines were terrific, and food was all amazing. This was one of our favorite meals in BC!
Oh I would also add that we went straight there after a 5 hour hike and still didn’t feel underdressed. Place is elegant yet very casual!
our local restaurant for many years and still good food and overall experience. Less "community" feel than it used to be but likely to be expected as its popularity grows. Keep the folksiness of the community by ensuring the right attitude of the serving staff. Food prices are a little high for me as pasta's should never cost $24 even though they are tasty. More value years ago than now would be my only significant criticism
Half hour wait for our reservation, very noisy. Food and service excellent.
Outstanding food and service. The atmosphere was lively and fun. Highly recommend.
Great servers. Beautiful location.
Always love it here, service is wonderful and the pasta night is great value for our group.
Warmly welcomed, seated right away. Hostess turned out to be our server - very attentive and personable. We actually had interaction with 3 additional staff as they all were helping each other. Excellent service all around. And food and wines were up to expectations.
We all had a fabulous time from start to finish. They started us off with delicious bread ( butter was a little hard to spread) and then our mains came. I had the salmon risotto and I can’t stop thinking about it! It’s the best salmon dish I’ve ever had The others in the group had spaghetti and steak which they all really enjoyed as well.
Will return again soon for that!
Outstanding restaurant in a remarkable location. Top notch food, service and ambience. Worth the drive in all ways.
Our favourite restaurant for lunch or dinner. Great hosts, menus and wine.
As always a great dining experience . Great cocktails and fantastic entrees.
A local favourite
Amazing atmosphere and service. The food was good. We did find it too savory for the sauce from the mussels and the accompanied potato/mushroom from steak. The cheese salad was amazing though!
Great service and excellent food. Enjoyed sitting on the patio for dinner.
Of all the restaurant options available on the north shore, which we keep saying we’re going to try, we never do. Our default is always Arms Reach Bistro. The experience from start to finish is consistently outstanding. We always feel like valued guests and the food, especially my favourite baked spaghetti has us coming back time after time. Reservations highly recommended but if you do have to wait for a table, wondering around beautiful Deep Cove passes the time in the best way possible.
Enjoyed our lovely evening. Great food and wonderful service.
Lovely spot to eat !! We enjoy going there alone or with friends !! Reception is always nice and the service is excellent. Parking underneath is a little difficult as the stalls are very narrow and the lighting is not that great.
Only negative is lack of parking especially for lunch service.
We are regulars, one of my favourites the Tender loin I was very dissapointed with the replacement Ribeye.
Please bring back the Tenderloin .
The other meals and sevice all good as always.
