Great location service was ok. But the food was just a bit too pricey.
Excellent food and service would recommend to family and friends!!
A Great restaurant for the village of Deep Cove, went on pasta night. Meal was penne with mushrooms “fantastic”, even though the place was filling with customers it wasn’t noisy! Waitress was pleasant and the meal came prompt and hot,so convenient to the Deep Cove Theater Three Ladies had a enjoyable dinner then off to see Forever Plaid!
We ordered the lamb only to find that it wasn’t available. Big disappointment. The steak was very good melt in your mouth but thought the serving was small. I felt the veggies on the plate were sparse. Our server was just ok.
Delicious meal in a warm, comfortable setting. First time visit for all three of us...restaurant lived up to its reputation. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.
the best spot in the Cove for a business lunch or a nice quite dinner.
Fabulous location, wonderful food that was just the right amount and great service.
a little noisy, but enjoyed my lunch with my friend
Our server, Holly, was personable and professional.
Location with an exceptional view, good food and excellent service, polite and helpful staff. Would like to see a little more on the menu.
We went to Arms Reach Bistro from a recommendation and we were not disappointed! The ambiance is quaint and the food was delicious and plentiful! I had scallops on spinach risotto with Granny Smith apple and oyster mushrooms. My husband had salmon and said it was very good, even though we are not salmon people! We were full but finished the plates and we ordered dessert as well! Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend!
Food is as always outstanding. Our favourite go-to restaurant to go with friends or just for a romantic couples dinner.
The service was excellent on a Friday afternoon with three generations at the table. The food is only just above average, but the service almost made up for it in the sense that the overall experience was good. A special occasion place due to prices.
Arms Reach is always a great way to start a wonderful evening prior to attending the plays in Deep Cove :D Delicious food, great servers, and a wonderful energy!
Excellent place in the Cove !! The Caesar the drink was excellent! Customer service great!
25th wedding anniversary
It’s our special place in Vancouver and never fails to deliver a great night out.
We went here for my boyfriend’s birthday. The servers and staff were super friendly and the food was fantastic with a pretty view
Arms Reach Bistro is a wonderful respite tucked away in the very scenic Deep Cove! The food and service is always outstanding and the wine menu never disappoints. I can't think of a better spot for an exceptional date night with pre and post dinner walks through the magical ocean-side village already lit with seasonal lighting. ENJOY!
We have been coming here for years and it's always an amazing experience. It feels cozy and is beautiful. The service has never been less than outstanding. We will keep coming back ! Thank you!
Had my husbands dinner there with 11 other people and the service was quick and the food was very good!! Very well organized and the staff were amazing!
LOVE this restaurant!
BIG thanks to all the staff for a wonderful evening!
Wonderful birthday dinner at this intimate neighborhood jewel. Great atmosphere, service, and the best salmon ever! Nice moderately priced wine selection too. Couldn’t have been better.
I've gone to the Arms Reach Bistro often. I like that it is close so drinking and driving are not an issue, and that the service is usually great.
We went early at 5:30, so the noise level was fine, and the service, as usual was perfect. My issue was with my favourite dish: the mussels. They were tiny, not the usual plump ones. When I asked why they were so tiny, I was told it wasn't the season. I believe the restaurant now is buying its mussels from Cosco. I've tried the Cosco mussels and they were tiny if there at all. I will definitely not order the mussels any more.
I suggest you remove my favourite mussel plate off the menu if you plan on continuing to serve this brand of mussels.
The french fries on the side were as usual superb.
Hi Azza, Sorry you didn't enjoy your mussels this time. Our seafood supplier sources mussels from different places depending on availability. They arrive fresh, never frozen and they sometimes come from PEI or Salt Spring Island. They vary in size depending on the source/season. We're happy to show you the current size of mussel we have next time you come in to check if it's to your preference. I assure you Costco isn't our seafood supplier as they don't delivery perishable items to restaurants.
Dining at the Arms Reach Bistro is always a great experience. Last night was no exception. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the ambience, views out of the window and the excellent service. We will be returning soon!
Excellent service, a great location with view, nice brunch selection.
As always, the food and service was excellent. As it was after 1 pm on a weekday, the noise level was very low. This was one of our best visits.
I would still recommend but do not feel the value is there as in the past. Long term, local client who dines out a lot and used to love the Bistro. Now, i would qualify my recommendation as expensive and "downtown" instead of that local, bistro feel. Bistros typically feel like family and have a range in prices in wines and food that goes from reasonable and good to high end and great. Used to be that way here but no more! Now it seems only high end with pasta dishes at $24 each!
I love the staff, the owner and the food.
What a delightful find in Deep Cove. Weather was atrocious outside but it was inviting and warm inside on the day my friend and I went. Benny was delish and service was excellent - so well looked after by all servers. Lovely surprise to have my friend's dessert comped, as it was a belated birthday celebration. We will be back! Thank you again for making this a very enjoyable outing.
Our supper club has been dining around the lower mainland for almost 15 years. Our dinner on Saturday was one of the best. An incredible experience!
I had the best meal ever: the lamb shoulder with pureed potato and many tiny tender green beans. My Calgary visitor had the Butter Chicken which he said was wonderful. I am coming out to a serious gastric issue and over time developed sensitivity to many food items. This meal restored my love of food.
Great restaurant in a fab location. Service was impeccable
Food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the ambiance was wonderful.
Everything was great! Food and service and such - all great!
Wednesday pasta night is a great value. Waitress was attentive and professional. As always, a great place for a lovely dinner.
People at our table ordered Huevos Rancheros and Breakfast Hash Bowl. The two people in our party who ordered the Breakfast Hash Bowl found it tasty and large enough, though perhaps a little spicy for some tastes (not ours). The two who had Huevos Rancheros thought it just OK, not great. I found the quantity of food in the Huevos Rancheros too little and it arrived somewhat cold. From the foodie point of view, it was innovative in presentation but disappointing for those who know what real huevos rancheros typically is: a fairly generous quantity of beans or frijoles refritos, cheese, a smallish quantity of rice, some salsa (roja or verde, sometimes on the side), fried or poached egg on top, and soft corn tortillas on the side. The "real" stuff sometimes is served in a hot cast iron skillet on a wooden board. The Arms Reach Bistro version of huevos rancheros stuck me as an urban dieters' version, very light on beans and cheese, just one skimpy tortilla.
I like Arms Reach Bistro and have had many good meals there, but I cannot recommend their Huevos Rancheros.
Disappointing presentation of traditional brunch Eggs Benny. Little colour, no garnish. Just a plate full of potatoes with OK bennies, but nothing to write home about. Very surprised as this hasn't been a past experience. And when mentioned, equally surprised that no small dish of sliced melon or tomatoes was offered.
Second time there - and the food is amazing, the service extremely professional and attentive. I will now be hosting our corporate event there! An awesome gem on the North Shore!
My family love this restaurant, it never disappoints.
Unfortunately I’m writing a negative review for this restaurant. And with much regret. Discovered more than a year ago, this restaurant, which was a fascinating place in a wonderful corner of British Columbia, has lost all its potential.
I think something has changed. I think the owner is no longer the same.
I have always eaten very well in this place, but unfortunately not the other night.
Very poor menu (compared to the last time many proposals were removed) and what we took was poor.
Squid fry, heated in the microwave and soaked.
In the cabbage salad a hair.
Main course was the pasta, spaghetti with prawns. Uncooked spaghetti, too much garlic and few prawns.
At least the wine was good, Joie got up, even though the wine list had to be revised.
The service unfortunately is not up to par, but it is understandable, since our maid was very young: it will improve.
In summary, a collapse of quality. Unfortunately very bad.
