    One of my favorites for dinner but first time for brunch. Biscuits were amazing, Benedict was a great mix of subtle flavors, and the shakshuka was surprisingly good! Finished with the perfect affogato.

    A hidden gem!!! The only real Carbonara and Amatriciana in Austin… maybe in all of Texas!! all ingredients are the real deal. The pasta, made here. Real Guanciale!!!! Not bacon! I am telling you. It’s the real deal like in Rome! The service is excellent!! Super personal experience… the place is super cool, like an old diner. The chef… super cool guy. I don’t get excited about restaurants in Austin… I am about this place.

    Everything was great except for the 2 young children seated a booth away who were completely out of control. Definitely not the restaurant’s fault. C’mon parents….jumping on the banquette and karate in the aisle is NOT permissible!! Would love it if the house wine special went to 7:00 instead of 6:00. Pizza was delicious with excellent flaky, light crust. Service was excellent. Love the east parking. Great place to go before a show at Bass Concert Hall.

    We had the most wonderful server and dinner! The recommendations were spot! The Caesar salad is one of the best I’ve ever had. The Rotini is absolutely amazing… super bright tomato flavor and add the sausage, you won’t be disappointed. My husband had the lamb… he said he could have licked the plate!

    Waiter failed to tell us the specials. We didn't realize there were any until the waiter next to us told the people at the next table. Breadsticks cold and chewy. Calamari was excellent; it's soft, not too chewy. The dip it's served with is good but would be better to offer something lighter to complement the delicate fried morsels. Cesar salad with fresh anchovies is excellent. Capellini does not taste homemade fresh. Smothered in sauce with raw sliced garlic tasted like amateur night. We came for the homemade pasta. Skip Asti if that's what you are after. It's loud and not a great place for conversation. The decor is eclectic, in line with what you'd expect in Hyde Park. Wine by the glass selection is good.

    ASTI is a terrific neighborhood restaurant: the staff is warm and professional, the ambience is sophisticated but low-key, and the food is great. Last night’s salmon was perfect, and a very nice portion to boot. We brought our new dog and they couldn’t have been sweeter to her. In a city where the restaurant scene is bordering on the over-priced and obnoxious, ASTI has maintained its quality and character.

    We enjoyed our return to Asti. I am always happy with my Rigatoni Amatriciana (and getting a half-portion often works well for me, especially so I can comfortably enjoy more of their excellent bread! My husband got the pork special which was terrific. We're hoping they keep it on the menu or bring it back around. The staff--hosts, servers, cooks, managers--are all just wonderful. It's a great place for a special occasion, although certainly a comfortable spot for any day of the week.

    Second time to visit AT. Very noisy. Service by waiter was very good but overall rather slow to receive food. "Lasagna" was not impressive and was unlike any other I have had and expensive. $85 with one bowl of tasty gazpacho and 2 entrees but with no alcohol. Before tax and tip.

    Asti never disappoints! The service is impeccable—a well oiled but friendly machine. Every bite is an inspiration. From our delectable bruschetta topped with goat cheese, arugula, fresh figs and prosciutto to the rich and luscious lemon soffritto for dessert, we were wowed. The trout was perfectly grilled and the chicken parmigiana rich but delicate. This little Hyde Park neighborhood gem is an experience houdint want to miss!

    Fabulous dining experience. The artichoke appetizer was excellent. Followed by the best Cesar salad. The right blend of garlic, parmigiana, and anchovies. The best in ATX. The special was the Italian steak. OMG. Moist, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Asti is the best in ATX.

    We had the Carbonara and my BF is very picky and he said it was delicious. I had this vegetarian and the sauce was so yummy, it had corn and vegetables. It was creamy but not with cream which made it light and so tasty! We never have a bad meal at ASTI and it’s one of our favorite restaurants!

    Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. We were late due to traffic in the city. They were not upset about that when I called. The service was fantastic. Our server was lovely. All of her recommendations were delicious. I had a lovely glass of white wine we had the amazing fried artichokes. We also shared a Caesar salad and an absolutely delicious pizza. Highly recommend this adorable restaurant.

    The highlight of the meal was the fried artichoke; a happy surprise; a simple but elegant out of the ordinary appetizer — the lemon aoli was the perfect compliment to the pickled saltiness of the artichoke. The Mussels & grilled focaccia was tasty with a generous amount of savory sausage crumble to boost the light broth. The Linguine & Littleneck Clams was a mess. Sadly the overwhelming sour lemon and excess salt overpowered the dish covering up any sense of the savory clam flavor. The special was a Mafalde noodle with fried eggplant in a simple red sauce. Again an overly salty dish. The choice of a Salata Ricotta for this dish would have been great if the sauce wasn’t already too salty on its own. On a positive, service was exceptional. Waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Always a better experience when a restaurant has professional waitstaff.
