The food was outstanding. The Rail knows how to treat people on a special day. The seating was very comfortable not crowded like some places do on a special day. We have never been disappointed in the rail.
Early Valentines dinner . Nice experience.
It is a wonderful experience to come and have a business lunch or catch up with a colleague within your community. Very nice menu selection of sandwiches, soups, salads, and entrees for lunch. The server was super sweet, professional, and always on top of her game. The staff were friendly and definitely recommend to anybody in the area.
Also have a wonderful Banquet Hall to host receptions and special events too.. Plenty of parking and very close to I-95 highway for those traveling through Delaware. 👍🙏👌
Always a satisfied patron! Food consistently good.
It was busy and we had to keep asking for different items. It was not as good as it has been in the past.
It was Birthday Brunch
Food was very good. Service was a bit slow due to several large tables. Value for the $$ was reasonable. Would go again.
Went to the Rail for my wife’s birthday party. Since it was Christmas time there were a few Christmas parties going on which raised the noise level which was expected. Wait staff was friendly and efficient.
The grilled vegetable salad was a nice addition to the regular line up. I wish they would change the potatoes too. The Old Bay seasoning is getting old.
Great place for dinner.
Was very nice buffet but or waiter really didn’t check to see if we needed drinks or told us what the kitchen choices were. Otherwise, nice experience. Would go again.
Enjoyed a family dinner at the rail. Enjoyed the piano music during our meal.
Location and setting are 2 of the best reasons to choose On The Rail. We came for an early meal after a day watching the horses run at Delaware Park. Menu is good and bar menu is somewhat interesting. Staff were very warm and welcoming. That said, I can’t say I was blown away by the food choices or their preparation. Not bad in any way but nothing exceptional either.
The food was outstanding and the price was very reasonable. Waiters need additional training. The service level is poor. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Never asked if we wanted coffee with desert. The atmosphere is very nice with live piano music. I would go back again because the food was so good.
Sunday brunch is plentiful! The service is attentive but it's a serve-yourself buffet. A raw bar, salads, carving station, omelet bar, pasta made to order, French toast, waffles, desserts and more. (I can't remember it all) It's $30 well spent (and a great view of the golf course).
great meal and service. Tables a little close as later parties came and during their greeting were almost standing on us. pretty rude of them but should be corrected by the staff with wider spacing or smaller parties near eachother with larger in another part of dining room.
All in all a wonderful meal though !!
Went for Sunday Brunch birthday celebration. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. I especially liked the carved beef and the Nova salmon ...oh and the desserts were also yummy. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Music was provided by a very talented pianist. Thoroughly enjoyed the day!😋😍👏
Food was just okay for the price. A little disappointing. Was not hot at all. Do not enjoy cold to lukewarm food.
The noise level was very high because of the happy hr.We could not even talk across the table hearing was impossible .you need to put up some sound barriers for your dinner guest. That might help.
The food and service was very good but noise was loud until
Everything was excellent! The service was outstanding, however, there was a happy hour going on, which made it very difficult to engage in conversation. We had to shout.
They seem to offer the same thing every weekend so for those of us who happen to go once a month, it is a bit boring and redundant. Keep some of the basics like the raw bar and the omelet/carving station, and mix up the hot offerings so it’s not the same biscuits and gravy, yogurt parfait, seasoned potatoes.
I love the Rail, I go often. Leasure lunch, food always great. This time server was a little lax.
Awesome Restaurant, the Ambiance was Amazing! Our server knew was very knowledgeable and a great people person, she recommended a dessert that was very delicious!!! Everything that we had was great!!! If you’re near Delaware Park give the Rail a try and You will be Amazed!!!
This visit was a disappointment in food and service. We started with a cheese that that arrived with withered grapes. My chicken was too tough to eat but the carrots were wonderful. We did have some one join us unexpectedly but the waitress never came back to the table for additional orders.
Nice atmosphere, good food. Band on the back deck was very good.
Great Food and Relaxing atmosphere. We meet family there as a half way place twice a year to enjoy drinks, a meal and catch up on family and friends. We never feel rushed and the food never disappoints. Portions are ample and the presentation is beautiful. Bloody Marys are spicy wonderful.
As always, a satisfied customer. Look forward to our next visit.
All of us enjoyed our food. Mom had a generous Reuben sandwich, and enjoyed that they offered sauerkraut OR coleslaw. Husband and I enjoyed our Chicken Caesar Salads, creatively served in a parmesan bowl. The amount of chicken was generous. And granddaughter enjoyed her flatbread. It was nice and quiet people wise, but the music was kind of loud. And when lots of people are there, it can be quite hard to hear those at your table. But it is an elegant place and we highly recommend it.
Food excellent service good but the noise very very loud. The piano player was very very loud and his singing-- could her my wife talking at times
Sunday brunch was excellent. We enjoyed every bite.
Dinner was fabulous. I took my father for Father's day even though Father's Day itself was booked. We enjoyed our dinner and dessert.
great experience..can't wait to return
At The Rail is very elegant. We both got Chicken Caesar Salads, which come in a Parmesan Bowl, very tasty. Our server was very cheerful and made sure we were happy. A lot of the items on the rest of the menu looked very good, we will have to go back and try some. I understand their crabcakes are delicious too.
Overall our experience at the rail for Sunday brunch was outstanding. We were there for our first year wedding anniversary, the food was amazing! The variety for this brunch was very good and well worth the 29.95 price point.
Our waitress was a little scattered, not sure if she was overwhelmed or if that was her Norm. Very nice lady, just a little scattered
I loved the band! The music was perfect during dinner.
The noise level was unacceptable. Our first time and the last time there. Servers did not get the orders correct. Starting from drinks to delivering food. Mine was luke warm when our guest was steaming hot. Horrible experience!
We waited 20 minutes before someone came to the table. The food came out cold and bland. I wouldn’t recommend for any occasion.
Have always been very pleased with both food & service at The Rail. Liked the variety of items at the brunch. Prime rib was excellent! We will definitely come again!
Food was delicious(all of it). Ambience was nice. Service very good. Would(and will actually) go back. excellent experience!!
We came for our anniversary and were seated promptly at a nice table. Laura took great care of us and all of the items that we ordered were delivered in a reasonable time and in their proper order. Presentation was very nice and everything tasted great.
