Atlanta Fish Market
It was a good experience, there was an issue getting our order to the line cooks, but they made it right in every way. Food was good, drinks were good and dessert.
Great seafood selection. Tasty and creative creations, lovely and authentic service.
Our favorite sea food restaurant for good food courteous service and pleasant surroundings
We dined here for the Lobster Fest special menu, which had all sorts of ways to prepare or to put on top of lobster. My husband got the basic steamed lobster entree with butter, which I should have also gotten. Instead I got the Savannah style lobster which had a stuffing plank on top of each lobster half (3 halves) with a sherry creamy dressing on the side. The stuffing tasted odd to me, and I enjoy lobster just as it is steamed. I don't even need butter for sweet and fresh lobster, so I'll know better next time. All in all, our entrees were delicious, and we shared a side of asparagus. The sourdough bread was good. We found out they have bread pudding on the dessert menu that we shared for dessert. Our wine choices were good, also, but the chenin blanc vouvray was a little too sweet.
We were so disappointed in this restaurant that we have enjoyed previously. We were initially seated in the front section of the fairly empty restaurant. The wooden chairs were uncomfortable because their cushioning was no longer functioning. We switched chairs and then realized that the temperature was uncomfortably warm. We asked to be moved and were seated in the back section with slightly more comfortable chairs and a slightly cooler temperature. All of the furniture looked well past it's prime.
My meal included a potato patty that came out cold in the middle. Unfortunately our server was nowhere to be found and no one else came to our table to check on our meals. When the server returned I was 2/3 finished but told him about the cold side item. He dashed off to get a replacement, without asking if this would be what I wanted. When he returned with two patties I was almost finished with the rest of my meal. It turned out that those patties were lukewarm in the middle; better than cold but not hot as I expect of freshly served food. Needless to say I didn't eat either the original patty or the replacement patty. I would have expected a reduction on our bill, but that wasn't offered and we were ready to end this disappointing experience.
All in all, this experience was not what we expect when paying $25+ for an entree. We will not be returning.
The Atlanta fish market is a great restaurant and we have dined there a few times before, but this time was a little off. Our waiter was unshaven and I mean flat out scruffy. They really need to clean up their men's restroom The food is always good to great but in fine dining you need more, it's the attention to details that makes a good restaurant great the Atlanta fish market fell short this time.
This place is always good and consistent !! Everything was very tastefully! Fresh! Great portions! Service was good too!
This is not our first visit!! We love this place and it has been very consistent over the years!! Tasty and fresh sea food always! We took some family from out of town and they loved it too!! Excellent service! Very accommodating .
Great menu with plenty of options. Staff was friendly and the noise level was very low for how crowded it was. We'll be back!
Very good overall; especially our waiter
The crab cakes NEVER disappoint! I recommend being seated near the window.
My daughter and I ate here before the Taylor Swift concert. We shared the broiled seafood platter. The food was amazing! The service was excellent! We will definitely eat here again when visiting Atlanta!
They do a fine job, but the entire resturant was very average. I got their fresh catch salmon, which came with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. It looked like the healthy fish plate you would get at a Chili’s or Applebee’s, and tasted average too.
Our server, Sarah, was efficient and helpful. She explained menu differences and assisted us in making a decision on the best me or combination. This was our first visit and we certainly will be back. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we were very pleased with the special dessert and special treatment we received.
Great. Will be back again.
Totally enjoyable. Pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious!
Trout was fabulous and a huge portion.....shared it with a friend!
Just plain old not good
Our meal of lobster tail with scallops and crab was fabulous! Heavenly cheese cake for dessert! The service was perfect, always timely, never intrusive. We always enjoy a glass wine with our meals and we drink much water. The water person was so efficient, always keeping up with us, never forgetting it was preferred without ice. His efficiency in circling the tables and tending to everyone was so impressive that we gave him a $20 tip! That was a first for us! He was from Bangladesh and his name sounded something like Nahroo.
Always consistently good; both food and service. Great selection of fish entrees and many side dishes. Reservations taken on time and very attentive service. A standard of the buckhead Life Group.
great for friends and business meetings as well as special occasions.
We had one of their lobster specials. The lobster scampi. It was fantastic. Lots of shrimp and scallops included along with the lobster. I liked it because the lobster was already scooped out. There was a small portion of mashed potatoes in there as well that were delicious. Our waiter was great!
My parents had a time celebrating their 46th Anniversary!
Service was slow for water refills , bread, butter and extra cocktail sauce. It appears there was no busboy or secondary waiting assisting the lead server. Appetizers were not served together - I waited 5 additional minutes for my appetizer than the rest of the table ( it was shrimp cocktail) . We had a 6:45 reservation and they had already ran out of 1 pound lobster tails & Yingling - really sounds like poor planning.
Other than that food was excellent but bad service can sour an occasion . As usual it was loud - due to the high ceilings next time I will request a table in the upper area.
The food was amazing. It was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. You did not have to wait long for your food and it was fresh. Hats off to the chef.
Always a great choice for a special occasion!
Seafood mixed grill is a family favorite 👍🏼
Second meal here. We both had excellent entre’s, and the Oysters Rockefeller were the best we’ve ever had. Overall, a near perfect dinner, and our server was most professional.
I can’t remember our waitress name but he was OUTSTANDING!!!
I had a great time the service was above excellence
ATLANTA Fish Market was AWESOME as usual!!! Live main lobster was delicious!!!
Can't wait to go back, one if my favs!!!
Positives arriving early before our 5:30 reservation greeted by upbeat eager Valet, quiet bar for wine and beer and appetizers, crab fritters and oysters bienville . So far so good. Move on to dining room. Greeted by waiter menu specials quickly explained... new waitress server appears. She was the best part of our experience. Orders taken settling in enjoying people watching. Disappointed by food over all. Ordered lobster special. Crab Cocktail and Shrimp cocktail plus additional sides of asparagus baked organic sweet potato ( unavailable) was substituted baked sweet potato purée.
Knowledge of Birthday celebration thought one dessert ordered should be comped instead of second one served.
To many things off the mark in a very competitive food town.
Great food with exceptional service. One of my favorite lunch places. Chilean Sea Bass is wonderful.
Service and food were great as always. However fix the cieling
First) We were not offered a wine list! We had to ask for one.
Second) Appetizer arrived but not the wine ! Our Pinot Grigio arrived not chilled enough. A plastic container was brought full of “iced” water! Wine never reached the desired temperature throughout the meal!
Third) At the end of our meal the plastic container full of water flipped over by itself and drenched my husband totally! Big surprise!
Waiter apologized and offered to seat us at another table!!!
Our expensive fish, chilenean sea bass, was prepared well, however our whole experience at fish market was not too great!!!
I had a lovely dinner with a girlfriend at the Fish Market. Our service was perfect, not too fast or slow, wasnt pushy. The food was delightful. My only complaint is that the valet is not complimentary, though it is mandatory. For $200 dinner, do they really need to charge a $2 valet fee?
We took my wife to the Atlanta Fish Market to celebrate her 35th birthday and had a fantastic time. Food was great. Atmosphere was excellent. Service was top notch.
Highly recommend for the great food. The only complaint was the server who frequently reached across the table or over people when serving or removing drinks or plates when she could have easily walked around to the other side. We had a table for 7. She also disappeared for a long time once the food came and we needed drink refills.
Outstanding service and a predictable menu with fresh and high quality. All four of us were totally satisfied.
Consistent delicious and hot. This restaurant has always delivered! One of the best in Atlanta!
My bride and I celebrated our 41st Anniversary on July 30. We have been celebrating our anniversary at The Atlanta Fish Market for many years. We have never been dissapointed in the service or food. They are great at making you feel special. When I booked our reservation through Open Table I mentioned it was our anniversary. They made us feel like we were special. They also treated us to a wonderful dessert. They are still my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. We drive 50 miles one way to eat at The Atlanta Fish Market.
