Great dining experience- accommodated our request to be seated 20 minutes before reservation time, knowledgeable & thoughtful waiter, all the food was exceptional- from the bread to fresh seafood, steak & dessert…excellent wine recommendation - our best dining experience in Boston - will be back!

Food is satisfactory but pricy. Service not great - waiter was impatient and condescending, did not explain the menu and wine list, we were feeling extremely uncomfortable. We were looking forward to having lunch in AF as we always did over the last 10 years frequently dining in this place - but this time we had quite an upsetting experience because of service and we most likely won’t visit AF ever again.

The food is EXCELLENT! We ordered the 2 lb lobster and haddock. The lobster came with potatos and corn on the cob. The Haddock allowed you to choose 2 sides of your own. This was a huge surprise for us since the sides were listed separately with prices. We also ordered their Boston cream pie to go. Total for the bill was only $135! We were stuffed with so much food and paid so little. Loved it so much we went back the next day for lunch and had their creamy clam chowder in a bread bowl and two of their fresh catch of the day. This will be our Go To restaurant any time we are in Boston.

we enjoyed our meal and would only comment as follows the staff cleared away my partners starter, bread, plates and cutlery before i had finished. the bacon wrapped around the scallops was burnt. the broccoli was roasted and overcooked.

The food was good (not spectacular), the server was excellent, and the environment was loud. It was frustrating the table wasn't ready at the reservation time. They seem to be prioritizing volume over quality of experience.
