Atomica Pizza & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
It was great going to this spot again, food was so good and the waitress was the best. It has become my favourite menu now.
Food was not very good. Fettuccini was very very salty and contained chicken that was obviously cooked from frozen as it and the sauce were like soup. The mussels were just ok. The mushroom soup of the day was very flavourful.
Got together with our daughter from Montreal for dinner and had a nice meal and chattted about things. Service was good, food was good, location is good. We'll be back another time.
Excellent food, service and location in downtown Kingston.
We are former Torontonians where great food is quite accessible and easy to find. We were surprised to find such high quality restaurants here in Kingston and every bit as good as in Toronto and sometimes better. Atomica is one of our favourite restaurants in Kingston and one we wanted to take our visiting friends to. We all loved it. Thanks...
Come here! If you can get a table. Have a Negroni and take it all in
Food was excellent. Restaurant was busy and service was slow. It was very loud and was hard to hear friends across the table.
Exceptional server. Normally I love the pasta with fresh chicken but this time it was disappointing. Very sticky-lack of sauce perhaps this time. Typically pasta is excellent here as it's one of the few restaurants that cooks it nicely. Portion was nice, wine was great, bread was delicious.
The food was quite good actually.
I had the Atomica Pizza while my husband had the Deep Dish Chicago Style.
We ordered drinks and there were loads of floating cork particles from the scotch bottle. We returned the drink. There were flies everywhere, especially when the food came out. Waiting time between service interaction was ridiculously long. The place was generally not very clean.
Quite unfortunate seeing as the food was enjoyable.
We will not be returning.
nice place, good pizza, good value for your money but a little loud.
I love their pizza and their tiramisu! Both just different enough that I can't get it anywhere else, but not so different that I don't like it. A real treat!
The Caprese Salad was a great way to start. We shared the salad, the meatballs and a great pizza for the main. The Katrina pizza was very nice with prosciutto, arugula, pine nuts and olive oil.
Stephanie was a real delight! She even gave my wife the name of a hairdresser in Kingston.
All in all a great meal.
Great restaurant but very noisy, hard to talk and be heard without a raised voice.
The food was delicious and the wait staff were friendly, but the service was slow. No one asked me if I would like another drink...lost sale.
All pizza were too spicy
We had a fabulous experience at your restaurant. We were a group of 4 ( two couples). Our waitress was extremely friendly and very helpful with recommendations. We are from London. We have a daughter that lives in Kingston and goes to Queens. We like to try new non franchise restaurants every time we visit. We would highly recommend this one. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience.
We always enjoy the ambiance of Atomica, and the food is normally great, but on this occasion the starter calamari was so weirdly presented, with the calamari tucked underneath a hastily thrown pile of arugula, we didn't know what it was. Then my pizza was dry and although not overcooked, wasn't as pleasant as it had been on previous occasions. My partner's chicken satays were good, and the drinks exactly as we'd ordered with a very special non-alcoholic cocktail which was heartily enjoyed.
Fantastic pizza, knowledgable staff. Packed even on a Monday night. Gnocchi was also great. Salad and calamari was good (but nothing unique) but best pizza in Kingston without question. Servers were very nice although super busy. Will definitely go back, be sure to reserve a table.
Good food and service. All around pleasant dining experience.
Very original and great tasting Beet & Walnut salad. Good size portion. A little noisy
Very friendly Service. Good Variation of Drinks and Food. Nice atmosphere. Good mixture of Young and older People.
The food is always fresh, delicious and creative. People are friendly and service is excellent.
The pizza is spectacular.
So happy to have had the Atomically experience! Wonderful hostess and servers were most efficient. We started with an Atomically Caesar and a pomegranate- blueberry monitor with vodka not rum. Both were excellent choices. The thin crust pizza was to die for. My favourite was the Mela e Brie. Such a wonderful combination of apple butter, Brie, pear and walnut but the Atomically was also a winner. We would definitely reserve there again
We came here last week for my birthday dinner because of Atomica's wine list and gluten free/dairy free options. The food was delicious, the service was timely and friendly and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing dinner before meeting up with a couple friends. We highly recommend it!
Our party of 3 all enjoyed the pizza, even the picky eater!
A little pricey, the food was good but not great, server was pleasant but too busy to give appropriate attention. It wasn't very expensive but still, again, a little pricey.
Food was very good and service was great! I love the way they support local farms and microbreweries. Will definitely go back.
We are never disappointed at Atomica. The gluten free options are delicious! Love that the GF options seem to be expanding. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Excellent service.
love the $5 wine and half price appetizers
Nice restaurant with italian cusine - for Europeans not the real taste. But very good service.
I love atomica pizza because they have options for people with gluten and dairy intolerances.
Excellent service and the pizza was awesome. We each ordered a different pizza and the flavours of each were amazing. Definitely would go back.
Was absolutely amazing!!! Food was delicious as was the drinks!
Reservation was made for 12:30 and waited 50 minutes for lunch to be served. I certainly enjoy visiting for a bit before we are served but I felt the better part of an hour was excessive. We were under some time restraints as well so not the best. Food was good but not exceptional as we were expecting and what the bill would dictate. Sorry, but in the future we will in all likelihood, go to a different eating establishment . So many to choose from.
Excellent Pizza with a variety of choices. The Brie Cheese and Apple was delicious.
Although this is my husbands favourite Kingston hang out, this occasion our food and service were extra special. I truly enjoyed the creativity of my flank steak and Brie pizza, but our server, Natasha, was amazing. It's rare to find a server skilled in the art of wine service, but Natasha was well-honed. Thanks for the great night out Atomica!
Great spot and great food....
Food was fine. Server was very polite and friendly but service was slow, apparently because too many people had ordered pizza at the same time and oven couldn't handle orders any faster.
Biggest problem was the noise level. Music far too loud for my ears coupled with the fact that conversations are all at maximum level and bounce off walls and ceiling. This likely appeals to an age group much younger than me. I wouldn't be able to recommend the restaurant to anyone looking to have quiet conversation with dinner.
Thank you for a great evening! Service was excellent. I really appreciated the flexibility around our changing numbers for the reservation.
I stopped by Atomica for lunch. It is right next to the excellent Chien Noir, and is owned by the same group, which also owns Dianne's Seafood and Harper's Burgers.
Atomica's decor is sleek and modern, but also captures the historic Kingston atmosphere, and it is a nice place in which to sip your Signature Cocktail, which I highly recommend! The Lemon Squeeze was excellent, both sweet and tart, and very refreshing.
The Fried Calamari appetizer was prepared beautifully, with a thin, crisp breading and very tender calamari. The sauces which accompanied it were creative and flavourful, and the bed of arugula was fairly substantial (for an appetizer). Compared to many other calamari appetizers, this one was small, so you may want to think twice about ordering it to share - you will probably want to eat all of it yourself!
I had the Diavolo Hawaiiano pizza (strongly recommended by the friendly, helpful server). The crust was crisp and the toppings very well balanced. Sweet, spicy and salty. My dining companion, who prefers a more classic pizza, said that her Margherita was very satisfying, and she remarked on the tasty crust.
For dessert, the Tiramisu is so amazing!! You should go and have some now!
Friendly waitstaff, cool and fun atmosphere, creative menu which uses so many locally sourced products.
