Auberge du Pommier is routinely ranked among Joanne Kates’ Top 100 Restaurants, and was awarded a five-star rating by Toronto Life magazine in 2016.
We enjoyed the tasting Menu with wine pairings.
Staff is very knowledgeable we were appreciative of their suggestions.Auberge du Pommier has a following of grateful customers.
Great restaurant with an authentic French feel to it. Service was top notch. Will come back every season to check out their seasonal menus
very expensive restaurant, recommend for couple the ambience is wonderful
Great service, food, and atmosphere. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable with wine pairings. I will definitely go there again!
Food was really good, always good. The wine was very nice. Server was nice and food was delivered promptly. We always love the place. Never disappoint. Highly recommend the duck. Yum!😋
Food was average at best, maybe on Valentine’s Day they’re a little busier than typical, but if you aren’t going to try your best on that day I don’t see how you’ll win more business for the future.
Service was definitely sub par. Don’t judge diners just because they look young and you think they might not tip you well cause that’s exactly what cost your a majority of your tip.
Food and service is excellent. Decor let’s it down. It’s not bad but it’s showing it’s age especially the carpeting and tables. Loved the food
2nd year coming for Valentine’s Day dinner. Food and service is always exceptional. We plan to make it out Valentine’s Day tradition. We like the restaurant so much we are having our engagement party here if that gives you any idea of our thoughts on the restaurant.
We enjoyed the place very much. We did not expect much from a French restaurant in North America, but we were pleasantly surprised. It is not cheap, but for the exquisite French cousine, it is reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the recommendations of French-speaking wine expert for the Canadian wine. We did not even know that there wine making in Canada!
Expensive menu, but delicious food. Classic french cuisine, nothing crazy, but good food all the same.
It was very nice place to eat French.
Tasty is also good. Dessert is very nice.
If you want to eat great French foods I can recommend to you this place.
The attention to detail, exquisite food and execution made for a perfect late evening dinner. Staff were attentive and friendly, without being intrusive.
Disappointing service and our meals took foresee to come.
well... food could have been better, especially at these prices. bit disappointed to be honest.
Great mimosa fresh juice nice touch beautiful place, clean bathroom and great staff
This winterlicious menu was amazing and so worth it! Love Auberge and will definitely be coming back.
These folks know what they are doing! food, service dealing with my requests... full marks.
What a beautiful venue for a special occasion. The food was fabulous, the service was amazing, I will definitely go again but request that my chair does not back on to a serving station as my chair was continually bumped through dinner and there was constant action behind me. Guess it was a busy night as part of the Winterlicious promotion.
Food is way too slow waited 40min for medium rare steak 25min for ice cream desert
The service was great and the room(s) / seating are very comfortable...the fire place was a nice touch. The food was good, but the wine prices had a very heavy mark up and were not very affordable. I know why restaurants prefer customers to order wines from their menu, but if they offer corkage, I think $45.00 is out of line. We have eaten in similar restaurants in Napa and Sonoma and never had to pay that much for corkage.
Auberge has an outstanding ambience. Our meal was wonderful and left us very satisfied but not too full. Our server was delightful, informative and very prompt with our meal. An outstanding evening!
The servicers were friendly and very attentive.
The flavours in the food were excellent.
Everything was prepared just right.
The only negative...as the place filled up it became harder and harder to carry on a conversation. Very noisy for such a place.
Went for winterlicious. Overall the food was good, but not amazing like I was expecting. Very small portions. Atmosphere is very nice. Great service from waiter but hostess was not very welcoming.
Food was not up to standards during Winterilcious event. Reviews during Winterilcious may not reveal the true quality of the restaurant.
Great meal !
We will be back !
Every bite was perfect , just right !
Enjoyed a Winterlicious lunch. It was delicious although my chicken entree could have been more exciting - would have benefitted from more sauce. Highly recommend apple brandy hot drink. Nice ambiance overall.
Charming little French county cottage . The food is marvellous
Everything is excellent except for the noise level. It could be that there was large party just next to us.
Love this restaurant. Everything is good about it
We really enjoyed our meal. The decor and ambience was very special - it felt like we were on vacation! The service was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks!
Portion sizes are small but superb quality and atmosphere.. Fast and friendly service
Food was very good, service was prompt. We would definitely eat there again.
Winterlicious lunch was fantastic
Food was not exceptional but adequate. We tried the winterlicious menu. The presentation was nice and so was the service - actually exceptional service. For a romantic night out or catching up with family/friends, this is the perfect ambience.
I've heard many great things about this restaurant, so I thought we'd give it a try for Winterlicious. The ambience and noise level were great. The service was excellent, dare I say perfect. The only issue was the food. It was a huge disappointment. The smoked salmon appetizer was very basic, and the duck was nothing special. The entrées were average as well, the beef dish was flavourless and bland. The tuna was good but not spectacular. The desserts were okay. I understand that for Winterlicious, the menu choices were limited and probably simpler and less complex. But I didn't feel like this was worth it. Maybe during regular season, the food is better and more impressive.
Our waiter Andrew made the experience top notch. I have eaten there before and thought the waiter a bit snobby. This time we hit jackpot with Andrew. I will certainly go back and ask to be at his table section.
Since it was Winterlicious, the restaurant was much more busy than usual. The waiter said that at lunchtime (we dined at 12:30 pm) there would normally be 50 and the day we dined, there were 300 expected. The noise level was extremely loud, but the service exceptional as always. I had the chicken luncheon special, and found it did not have very much taste and was quite bland. The caesar was excellent, as was the olive oil infused cake dessert. I would recommend this restaurant, just not during winterlicious.
Excellent service, food was very tasty; crowded for a Monday night, but expected during Winterlicious
A very charming ambience, large wine selection, and professional staff was what we experienced when we dined at Auberge du Pommier. The overall food quality was good. Although the combination of vegetables and carbohydrates was a bit lacking.
We may or may not recommend Augerge du Pommier to a friend.
The quality of food was good but we were disappointed with the service ......we did not receive any greetings from the hostess( two ladies) at the front and not even one word of good night or thank you we we left.
We have been to this restaurant for a few times (regular menu and winterlicious), but the customer service was the worst this time !
