The original jewel in the Oliver & Bonacini crown and a North Toronto icon, Auberge du Pommier has been serving guests since 1987. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, Auberge du Pommier combines country charm with contemporary sophistication and style. Featuring wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush, floral terraces in summer, it is a welcoming, refined retreat from the city.

Wonderful French cuisine. The restaurant’s name signals the atmosphere— elegant, refined, and welcoming. Our server Matthew was exceptional! Matthew offered recommendations and his knowledge of the wine list was helpful. We will continue to dine at the inn.

We know we can always count on Auberge du Pommier to provide a great night out, with outstanding food, service and ambience. This is definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Toronto. We come here for special occasions and just when we feel like treating ourselves. Last night was our anniversary and we chose Auberge as the setting for our special occasion... it exceeded our expectations!

I’ve been coming to Auberge with my family for 30+ years. This meal wasn’t the greatest but good. Should have chosen from the a la carte menu instead of the Winterlicious menu. Will come back for sure. Thank you

Cold salad slapped on the table within minutes - obviously pre-plated for winterlicious. For the mains, the Cornish hen was unappealing, and then inedible. Came on a bed of a rock-hard pear. The server could see that it had not been eaten, but no effort was made to ask what was wrong or whether there was something else he could bring instead. Absolutely uncaring attitude. Terrible food, indifferent service. All for the price of $55 per person for winterlicious. They should be embarrassed to be serving such subpar food, coupled with surly service (not from our server, but from other servers who came by to pour water or clear a plate.)

We enjoyed our luncheon yesterday. It is such a pleasureable experience to dine at Auberge. Michael, our waiter, welcomed us back as past diners with a welcoming smile. Our menu was fully explained. Food arrived promptly at the right temperature. Food was displayed as a very eye pleasing presentation and delicious as usual. Cannot wait to return. Many thanks for your usual top notch experience, This is Sharyn writing, not my daughter Laura.

I was so disappointed yesterday. We were there for winterlicious. The food is not even adequate, it was below average. I hate to say this because I know everyone is having a difficult time during Covid. However, the service was BAD. The restaurant was pretty busy during winterlicious and I don’t think they are willing to serve an average dish. I will not recommend this restaurant to my friend anymore.

The tuna appetizer was O.K. but the Cod, Burrata (we shared our apps.) and the carrot cake were incredible. We had fantastic service, and a great seat by the fireplace. We had a bottle of Merlot off the wine menu, sparkling water and coffee as well. The lack of parking validation when spending over $300 because it's Winterlicious is short sighted. We had a lovely date night. It's been a while since we've been to Auberge, as we're just starting to go out for dinners now due to the pandemic. Overall, a fantastic evening. We will be back.

Winterlicious is time to try those “always wanted to go “ restaurants - Auberge du Pommier was on the list … lovely - Oscar room with mirrors and fireplace sweet and intimate. Servers were lovely..food was good, of course, but had limitations of Winterlicious so we’re looking forward to going back for more choice. Surprisingly best dish..the “pain perdu” (aka bread pudding or “French toast”. :) very yum!

I feel we didn’t get the authentic and true experience because of winterlicious, we feel this may have played a role in our dinner. We were told the bread was replaced by another vendor and having that knowledge we feel maybe other areas may have been affected or replaced. Having said that I think it was not worth what we paid!

Auberge is a favourite of ours, and we consider it a classic. Consistently exciting and well-prepared food with outstanding service. When we want a relaxed dining experience where we can break out of the standard corporate restaurant fair and linger over good food, good wine and great service, we head to Auberge.

Despite a nice ambiance and pretty dining room, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. My tuna tartare lacked seasoning, the porc we took was lukewarm and the pain perdu was very dense. It’s a shame as we were both so excited to go there but that price point warrants more care into the dishes. We felt they miss the occasion to showcase for winterlicious.

Our waiter Chad was fantastic! In my opinion, my Crabe crepe’s presentation was very eyes pleasing and the broth itself was light and soothing. However, it was more like drinking a soup rather than eating a crabe crepe as my main dish. In the future, I am looking forward to experience more of a filling crepe texture with chunk of crab meat and in volume. Luckily, I wasn’t overly hungry. The yuzu dessert was a bit overly sweet, I should have order my usual Soufflé, which is always perfect. Overall, Auberge is still our family all time favorite and close to home restaurant, and with Fedrick is back on staff now, we are looking forward to visit again in the near future. Thank you.

Went for winterlicious but the menu did not live up to what was on our plates. Descriptions were not accurate: my husband received cod without the clams and my cream - blueberry dessert was more of a bread pudding? It was strange. Been there twice before but this was the most disappointing visit.

My husband and I decided to do the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was fantastic. (Missed taking a photo of the veal dish because it paired so well with the wine I just dug right in.). Our server Andrew was very knowledgeable and professional which made the whole evening even better. This is one of our favourite restaurants for good reason. We will definitely be back.

Had a lovely time at Auberge du Pommier! It's been a long time since we've been out for a nice meal (thanks, COVID!) and I couldn't imagine a nicer place to enjoy a really nice meal. While it was Winterlicious, we went with the a la carte menu and had the escargot and tartare for appetizers (both awesome), porc and veal for mains (the veal is AMAZING don't skip it), and the souffle and creme brulee for dessert (also both fantastic). The vibes are great, the food is excellent, and we'll certainly be back again! Also shout out to the zero-proof cocktail, it is perfection. A nice option when you don't want too boozy of a start to your meal!
