We have been very happy to dine in while staying at Nita Lake Lodge.
The staff works very hard to please and are busy serving both Aura and the more casual Cure.
We brought it to the attention of management and know they are dealing with it, but in both locations, although more so in Cure they have a current problem with fruit flies. That is why we can't give them 5 stars. Hard to dine when they are flying over your meal.

Aura’s food is delightful - very tasty and well presented
There was a large group booked in later So ambience was a bit lacking with the place being so empty.

Great decor, food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy weekend - even at 5:45.

The food is very good but the ambience is sterile. Better to eat at the attached Cure Lounge as you have the benefit of the same kitchen but a much nicer ambiance.

Friday at 6:00pm the noise from the bar across the hall was a little overwhelming.
Everything else was great.

Grossly overpriced. Food was ok, but not great. Wait staff good. Atmosphere is “different”. Not what I thought it would be. Didn’t car for it, but some might like it. Will never eat there again. Too many good restaurants in Whistler to waste money at this place.

Our meal was excellent. It was off the fixed price menu which offered some interesting choices. The portions were very generous with nice presentation. The lower rating I gave to ambience is based on personal preference rather than anything wrong with the decor, etc.

So disappointed with the experience it was a bad way to end my moms birthday celebration weekend.
We arrived early for our 11:30am reservation at Aura and waited over 10 minutes for even a host to greet us, this only happened after we asked. We were then sat in the lounge which had the same menu as the restaurant because it was closing.... not sure why as they advertise brunch from 11:30am-2:00pm at the restaurant on Sundays. They had one server who seemed to be very overwhelmed. I asked to customize my own meal and have a hash... (they have other hash’s on the menu) he said he would check and let me know if I could. No follow up until we asked him if it was ok and then my meal showed up as just the items I asked for in the hash separately on the plate which was clearly not what I had ordered. We asked for a simple piece of French toast for my niece which they couldn’t do although they are a kid friendly restaurant and then we got the rush pancake at the same time as the rest of the food an hour after we ordered.... we waited 30 minutes for coffee, tea, water and orange juice. When the manager came to drop off my incorrect meal I inquired if she was the manager and she said she was but it was her last week and she would get the other manager. Why would this even be an acceptable response ? If you are a manager wether it’s your last day or last week you deal with the problem. The manager did come over and apologize and then we got our bill and everything was on there as well as an 18% gratuity. You would think after enduring all of this we would perhaps have had the meal they screwed up taken off the bill or at least the auto gratuity. I would never visit this place again and the sad part was I had always wanted to stay at this resort which I will not do now.

All four of our meals were outstanding! Our 11 year old grandson had his first taste of short ribs—raved about them! Wine list was mind-boggling; beer selection, however, can be improved; particularly the draught offering. Service was a little slow. Overall had a wonderful evening.

a nice place for lunch.... but even with a reservation, we were seated behind the posts outdoors while vacant view tables remained open - saving them for others? No signs so we asked for better seating with a view and were grudgingly relocated to a better table. Food and wait service were OK, but it is about the view. BTW watch out for the last minute cancellation penalty $45pp!! Rather silly for this calibre of dining establishment.

smoked tomato soup was a nice surprise and beet salad refreshing.
steelhead salmon with crispy skin quite tasty, halibut was ok.

surprisingly for a “slow night” one plate was forgotten and one dessert choice was unavailable :(

food presentations were lovely
flavours and spices nicely mixed
lakeside location is great

Poor service, specifically calibre of staff clearly employed on cheap and poorly trained (not their fault). Prices have also soared. Shame as room and food decent, but overall poor experience for the price. Much better options elsewhere in Creekside (e.g. RimRock) and in Village.

We ordered steelhead and it was not cooked . They didn’t bring the wine with the main entree plus they took the steelhead and brought another one which was uncooked again . We asked for blanket as it was cold and the blanket had food stain all over . It was such a terrible place to waist money

Had been here several times before. Was an intimate setting with great food. They redecorated a year or so ago and lost the intimacy. As well menu was not as interesting. Service however was quite good. Perhaps just me. But will think twice before going back.

Why do chefs ruin an evening by trying to do small portion cooking. Plates too small for a ski resort. Food was OK but take a look at portions. Red Door up the street is booked because they get it. It’s a ski resort not Paris.

This was a pleasant experience, but there was some unevenness of service. The waitress was somewhat perfunctory, but was very accommodating with a special drink. The tenderloin and lamb dishes were outstanding, but the yellow tail and salmon appetizer tasted too strongly of the seaweed served with it. We would come back, hoping for something more consistent.

Aura has been redecorated since we were there last year. It now a more casual, modern interior with a fun ambiance. The only misstep in the decor is the over use of cold, fluorescent-like lighting which is not a good look even at lower end restaurants. Interestingly, the lighting and energy in the fireplaces lounge area across the hall seemed like a lot of fun. Perhaps we were in the wrong spot.
We were there for a Valentine’s price fixe, which is always a dicey proposition as it puts tremendous pressure on the staff and excessive expectations on the part of the clientele. The food was tasty, a surf and turf combo with beef tenderloin and king crab legs was good. The mashed potatoes were especially good. The only disappointment from a culinary perspective was the chocolate fondue. We had a nice evening but probably not nice enough to do it again in this format.

The newly remodeled Aura sadly lacks the ambience and cozier setting from previous Aura. It has been replaced with bright lights and techno pop music. After a day of skiing, followed by lovely spa treatment at Nita Lake Spa, the last thing I wanted was to sit in a bright restaurant and listen to techno music. Although our meals were good, they were overpriced and the wines by the glass were limited. I would opt to sit in the bar where the lights are lower and the seating more inviting.

The restaurant decor is really beautiful. The service was great and food faultless. It seemed empty when we were there - I think the request for a $50 per person credit card charge for 48 hour cancellations could be a deterrent. In the 2 weeks we spent at Whistler eating out every night, this was the only restaurant to request that and due to the location in Creekside vs Whistler could turn people off.

A hidden gem in Whistler. It was so nice to not feel rushed when most other restaurants in town are filled to capacity. Everything was so delicious, including the 8th Dwarf Cocktail. Our service was friendly and professional. We will certainly go there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to our guests.
