I picked this restaurant after checking out the menu online. However, the trout which I was so looking forward to has been replaced by salmon which I do not care for. I was told that Azure have changed to a summer menu. I wish they had updated their online menu. I was disappointed.
Our waiter, William, provided excellent service. He was warm and very friendly. He even helped us keep our doggy bag in the bar fridge so we could pick it later after the ball game.
Great dinner. William was awesome
Nice ambience, friendly staff, food was decent quality though my colleagues steak was not good quality at all. My chicken dish was delicious. :)
Really enjoyed our meal here. The quality of our food was very good. It was quiet when we were here and service was very good.
The food was excellent as was the service
Asked ahead of time to have a table situated in front of big screen for TO Maple Leafs game. We went ahead early to confirm table. Very happy with table. Told them we were heading back to our room (inside their hotel) to change into something different.... came back down and they had given the table away.... the restaurant was empty.... they put us at a table not so nicely situAted with the screen and offered us a free appetizer.... no explanation to why they gave away table. Free food did not help the situation... how about an apology?
The server was very poorly trained and unprofessional. We were hardly seated and he insisted on taking our order because it was going to get busy...this was not the case. The food was very bland and at $36 a plate at lunch for salmon with some rice and vegetables , you would expect more. Americano was served black without asking if I would like milk...I had to waive down another server for milk...definitely would not return. A $5 tip was left due to the experience and the server did come and ask why? We gave him feedback so hopefully he learned something.
The food was very good but the prices were a touch high, which of course drops the value, but we'd definitely go again. We had the Chicken Supreme, which was delicious, perfectly cooked and the barley side dish was great. Best meal I've had in a while. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. The only concern we had was that the was no gluten free offering that we could see.
Bartenders are the best!!!! Always happy to see you. Device is great!
Excellent breakfast menu.
Conveniently located while at Intercontinental.
Good restaurant. Not that amazing for a sat afternoon lunch. Likely the best time to go is during a trade show in the evening.
Good breakfast fare. Excellent cappuccino and croissants!
Very accommodating, our boys joined us after the hockey game and we were able to quickly add another table.Great for big groups and we were allowed all the time we needed .... stayed 4 hours and loved every minute of it! Excellent Winterlicious menu options, very tasty , well presented and ample. We will definitely be back!’
When we got to our table, it was not cleaned. I had reserved the table 24 hours in advance, and there were used cups and cutlery when i sat down. They removed all the used cutlery and cups after i had sat. It was slightly awkward, very quiet and not busy. The food was decent, not very flavourful.
Service was very slow. Took the server 10 mins to come over just to pour water in our glasses and another 5-10 mins to take our order.
Also the decorations on our plate were missing but very other tables had them.
Ambiance was very subdued.
We’ve been to Azure numerous times while staying at the Intercontinental and we have always enjoyed ourselves. When we made the reservation for New Year’s Eve we were looking forward to a nice evening with family and friends before heading out onto the town. The restaurant was not busy, but for some reason the service was terrible. Our waitress took our drink order and returned with wine for the 4 adults but never brought the Shirley Temple for my 15 year old daughter. We had to remind her about the drink when she came back to the table to take our food order. One of the people at our table had asked to substitute potatoes for lentils with her meal, but when our dinners arrived, the substitution had not been made. After waving our waitress over (because she didn’t come back to ask how our dinners were) , they finally arrived after our meals were finished. We were never offered fresh pepper or Parmesan for the pasta orders, although we watched other tables get that service, and we were never asked if we wanted more drinks when ours were all empty. We ate dessert with no coffee or tea. We finally flagged down another server and asked for coffee and second drinks when our desserts were gone. Our bill came with a charge of $12.00 for a full order of potatoes - and then we sat for over half and hour waiting to pay with dirty dessert plates and empty water and bar glasses. Finally my husband went up to the bar and basically tapped our waitress on the shoulder to get her attention while she was playing on her phone to get her to take our payment. I spent my late teens and early twenties waitressing, so I am very understanding when service is lacking on a busy night - This was not the case at Azure while we were there. The restaurant was amply staffed and not overly busy. Clearly our server did not want to be working that evening and we got that message loud and clear. Next time, we will take our hard earned money to an establishment who wants our business.
We enjoyed a great Christmas dinner here. Everything about the experience was top notch.
Had a 5 course lunch on Christmas Day. Very good service and food was lovely. Would recommend
Food was good but over-priced.
Food was great, service was great, enjoyed the dinner
We were welcomed and seated promptly. My guest and I were impressed with the flavour and presentation of both the dinner entree and desert. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Great value for the price.
Warm atmosphere, very attentive staff, pleasant experience.
This was a very disappointing experience. We assumed we were in for a very nice dinner, based on the cost, but we were actually served small portions in a quick manner, similar to a fast food restaurant.
The food was fine, but it should at least include a soup or salad to start with these prices.
My mother ate here in the morning, and the waiter offered her juice and coffee, without telling her that it would cost $6 for each on top of the expensive breakfast price.
When visiting Toronto, where excellent restaurants are on every corner, you cannot charge the same as a fine dining establishment if you are not going to maintain that standard.
Go elsewhere for a good meal!
Food delicious and original. Wonderful melange of flavours.small menu but good variety
Outstanding service - attentive and friendly. Good value for the 3 course dinner.
We went on a Monday and the restaurant literally only had 3 people seated at tables for dinner. Considering it was so empty we couldn't understand why we had to wait so long for our server, he could never be found and when he poured our water he was looking away so he spilled it all over the floor. When our steaks arrived they were over cooked and they had what looked like a bbq sauce all over the top. The food was ok at best and the atmosphere was pretty but I can't see myself going back.
Nice summer menu and wine pairings for the surf and turf options. $50 prix fixe menu is available.
Overpriced pretentious food
Poor service speed with few customers
Lunch same pricing high delivered one reasonable portion and 2 tiny ones
Food has flavour but not worth the price point. Had appetizer and entrees - ignored beverages dessert coffee as for Lunch for 3 it would hit $200 if we did this
Does not have a wow factor of food. Tuna , pasta dish and quinoa bowl were main dishes we had. Titles were more appealing than reality- an emperors clothes restaurant
Buffet would probably. be better on weekends. Atmosphere below a funeral parlour . Great Light however and furnishings good. Server made an effort to be be pleasant but not an authentic engagement.
Save your money and pick a standard restaurant in same area- will have better food and atmosphere.
Cibo nella media a caro prezzo. Bistecca non male, chiesto “as the chef suggests” ed arrivata super cotta (mio errore, pensavo che medium rare fosse la norma)...
Ambiente informale non molto elegante, e molto molto molto rumoroso.
Haven’t been here in many years. Decided to go for Summerlicious...it was fabulous! Not sure now why I waited so long to return to Azure. I will definitely return.
Happy to select this spot!
Really grateful to be able to have a nice conversation at normal volume while enjoying a delicious meal! Carrot ginger soup was outstanding.
Excellent service and food. The venue is very spacious that make us very comfortable and at ease.
Bonne présentation. Service attentif et rapide . Les portions sont gigantesques. Décor agréable même par mauvais temps !
Great service great food. I will definitely go back.
Birthday it was great
Absolute Beautiful ambiance ordered the tenderloin is was great! Would highly recommend for a romantic dinner not for family’s with children
The food was good, however, when asked a question about the food, our server was obviously uncertain of the answer, and guessed at it. I later asked another server, explaining that we didn't think our server knew the correct answer, and she simply directed us to our server again.
Our server then asked the chef(?) and clarified for us.
Recommendation: servers be encouraged to acknowledge that they may not know the answer, but indicate that they are happy to find out for us in a timely manner. If a server for another table is asked for something, they should also display an eagerness to tend to the situation.
Food was mediocre. Crab and avocado parfait was good. Salmon entree was pretry good as well. The vegetable sides that accompanied the main were inedible.
The service threw us off the most. The server decided we were not important enough or something. Would not come near our table until we caught his attention. Would not refill water. Asked us to input our own subtotal in the Debit machine (a first for us). So I don't think we will be headed there anytime soon.
My husband and I came for Winterlicious. The food was amazing. We enjoyed every morsel. We are from Oshawa and do not get out for meals in Toronto very often, but we would highly recommend this restaurant to our friends.
