The owner is French and the ambiance is like a bistro. The food was excellent and the management extremely cordial. They helped us get to our hotel nearby and gave us a nice hug and a bon voyage (we were getting on a ship the next day). We had a wonderful evening there.

Service was excellent. As for the food: The escargot was different. The snails were actually cooked in the shells, so were more snail-like in taste since they were not soaked in the sauce. The sauce was also lighter than the usual heavy garlic and butter sauce and had a hint of basil. We shared a garden salad with walnuts which was very good. I had lamb chops and my companion had a steak, both of which were excellent. Tasty and not tough. Creme Brulee was OK though

A perfect summer evening meal, and my second in less than a week in Bacchus's delightful garden, one of the nicest in this part of Brooklyn. The classic bistro fare is prepared exceptionally well by local standards, the service is particularly friendly and helpful. Very good value overall, and a better all-round experience than in most nearby options, including many that are much higher priced.

I love coming back every time. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Also very accommodating - we came with a stroller and they made sure we had enough room. The food is classic french food made perfectly and deliciously

Birthday dinner with the family on Thursday night. Very nice outdoor back yard space but the food was bland and underwhelming across the board. Service is very slow and inattentive as well. Not worth the price of admission. We are not coming back.

A favorite option in the neighborhood. Steps away from BAM, Mark Morris, etc, so perfect for pre/post performances. Welcoming vibe, friendly service, beautiful food and an excellent wine selection. Highly recommended.

All you can eat mussels on Tuesday are great until you chase down your server for a second serving and get a batch of inedible mussels. 200 porterhouse for 3 was 1/3 fat. Second and last visit.

Bacchus is a nice restaurant with a romantic vibe that is perfect for a date (prices were also a bit cheaper than I expected). Occasionally they have all you can eat mussels for $30 which is a pretty good deal.

Food was overall very good. Bar side of the dinning room was a bit messy and needed some upkeep. Hanger steak, beef bourguignon, halibut, lamb, halibut Terrine were all very good. Friend said Casolet was “ok”. Scallops were also ok but definitely not worth $23 for 2 scallops. I would come back for the hanger steak w peppercorn sauce alone. Waitress was also very nice and helpful with the wine.

Our party of 7 really enjoyed the meal. The crabcake special, scallops, onion soup, and ribeye steaks were excellent. The kids enjoyed their burgers too. The ambience is lovely and the service was good. My only complaint was that they wanted to turn over our table so they brought us the check, rushed us out without even offering dessert and we weren't even there for that long (maybe 1.5 hrs).

This place is great for wine lovers. There is a very extensive menu. We went for brunch and all of the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the outdoor seating area in the spring is very pretty. Definitely recommend coming for brunch. I will try and come back for dinner at some point as well. It was a great food experience.

The food was very good and the garden seating was nice, but the service was pretty bad. There was a very long wait before anyone came to take our order. After we finally got our food I wanted hot sauce and my husband's OJ didn't come out. We were nearly done eating so I had to get up and go inside to find the waiter - TWICE! Both times he was chatting behind the bar. There were 4 of us and we asked for 2 separate checks which didn't seem to be a problem until the waiter brought the check. He said he couldn't give us two checks but he could take 2 credit cards and we would have to write down how much to put on each card! I had never heard of such an absurd thing. I would go back for the food but I would not put up with the poor service next time. I would only recommend Bacchus to a friend with a caveat......

As usual, dinner at Bacchus was a pleasure. I had the always-excellent cassoulet, along with the equally-good onion soup. It's great to have a first-rate bistro around the corner.

This was a perfect place for dinner before an event at the BAM. I do not eat red meat and was surprised there was no chicken dish on the menu. I settled on the halibut with asparagus though, and it was very good. Got me outside my comfort zone.

Hands down one of THE best restaurants in all of NY. Happened to find it on OpenTable because we needed last minute ressies for 4. Food was simply incredible—every single dish that we ordered was excellent: the artisanal bread and butter, the Bacchus salad, the burata and the scallops were all delicious. The main dishes: ribeye steaks, duck magret and the burger were among the best entrees any of us had ever had. The desserts were all amazing, especially the crepe brûlée and the lava cake. We’ll def be coming here again!
