Arrived to dine. When asked if wanted lounge or restaurant, we indicated the latter. We were seated immediately adjacent lounge. Very boisterous folks were on both sides of us (in lounge and restaurant) dropping F-bombs left, right, and center. Killed it for us. Left after starter for more a more chill atmosphere.

This is as close to France as possible. The food was spectacular, the piano was fantastic the white table cloth, the atmosphere, the overall quality and attention to service. A little bit of Europe in Vancouver.

We've spent two of our anniversaries by the piano and fireplace. It's a great way to spend a cozy, upbeat evening.

The service is fantastic, attentive, but discreet and so kind. The food is incredible.

We always have a great experience at Bacchus Restaurant although this time I was disappointed that they could not accommodate my request for a medium rare burger whereas they have done so in the past.

We appreciated the noise level who h was buzzy but no too loud to prevent us talking.
Service from Michael? Was professional and pleasant.
Food was good with interesting twists...not sure about the gnocchi with the veal.
Suggestion that hand lotion in women's bathroom be place on the shelf and soap left where it is. Difficult to distinguish in the dark.

Service was good -Scott was great- desserts as part of the dine out were not the highlight of the dinner. Truffle tiramisu and forest cake were both tried and left uneaten after a bit. My daughter ordered a la carte - sticky toffee pudding which she enjoyed.
All in all it is one of those places you forget about and I will definitely go back.

We decided on the a la carte menu for the substantially better variety. We had the 1/2 rack of lamb, the honey salmon and mussells, whipped mash potato, carrots and the truffle risotto. The lamb at medium rare was beautifully cooked! Melt in your mouth and very flavorful and excellently paired with the sides and garnishes. It also pairs well with the Montes Alpha or Coyam for a decadent, full-bodied smooth finish.
The truffle risotto was by far the best risotto I’ve ever had but extremely heavy and rich so perfect for the side size it came in.
For dessert we had the earl grey crème brûlée and toffee pudding-which were both okay but not as special as the other dishes. The Taylor Fladgate Tawny 1980 is perfect for someone with a sweet tooth and the notes of fig and apricot ring through. Good end to a great meal.

We had the Dine Out Vancouver menu. For appetizers we had the Tuna Terrine and the Carrot soup. Both were extremely good. The Tuna Terrine was also stunningly plated. It looked like modern art!

For the main course, we both had the Steelhead salmon. Sooooo tender and light. It literally melted in our mouths. Very delicate flavour with the fish cooked to the equivalent of a “blue rare”.

Our desserts were chocolate Tiramisu with a side of the richest chocolatiest chocolate ice cream concoction we’ve ever had. Phew! It was delicious but very heavy - particularly after such a light main course.

The quality of the food was fantastic. The service was perfect.

Bacchus has always been one of our favourite restaurants. However our meal with the dine out menu was disappointing. Veal was overcooked and desserts were average . The ambience certainly made up for the food .

The food and service were both outstanding. Although we were over during Dine Out Vancouver, the menu was perfectly prepared and the value was tremendous. Unlike other restaurants that might serve subpar dishes during such an event, the folks at Bacchus restaurant offered great service and food that two French expats were delighted to come across in Vancouver.
The tuna terrine was fresh and very well served and the roasted veal breast was such a great combination of crispy, savoury and fondant texture that we are debating coming back during the Dine Out as it is not in the regular menus.

We are definitely going to come back!

Its a pleasure to visit Bacchus. Quiet drink in the adjacent bar followed by a delicious meal served with care and supported by the knowledgeable waiters. I could eat there every night.

I ordered fish and my friend ordered steak as main course ,we were not satisfied . Because steel head salmon tested not good as salmon, my friend said that the steak tested like jelly. But we liked the bread and soup. Thank you!

We have been to Bacchus many times over the years. In this instance, the food quality was okay, not as good as every other time we've been there.
