Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge - Wedgewood Hotel
As you walk into the restaurant, its attention to detail is immediately apparent. You are instantly surrounded by luxury, with richly upholstered furniture, dark wood, and light fixtures personally imported from Venice by founder Eleni Skalbania. These impressive features extend the hotel's brand of elegance. A large canvas depicting Bacchus himself, Greek god of wine and revelry, presides over the room.
Its talented culinary team offers modern French cuisine featuring fresh, West Coast ingredients. A great place to enjoy a truly gourmet, fine dining experience accompanied by live entertainment nightly.

An amazing location inside the Wedgewood hotel. Wood panelled walls and soft seats add to the rich atmosphere. We were there on a Friday evening and the piano player was amazing. Service and food top notch.
Have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. Love to get together with friends or have a romantic dinner because you can actually have a conversation as the tables are far enough apart, making the noise level reasonable. Food and service are outstanding. Lovely atmosphere.
Great service, excellent menu and unique ambiance makes this restaurant a perfect choice for any occasion
Service was the best I every experienced. The food was exceptional.
Everything from the food to the service was excelent.
This was a Thanksgiving set menu. In a word: fabulous! The appetizer picked was the ham broth with fresh kale. It was amazing; imagine a rich broth with fresh kale apparently dropped in before serving, The other ingredients included barley, all served with a delectable chardonnay. The entree included braised turkey thigh and blanquette (basically, stewed white meat) turkey breast, paired with a California pinot noir. The pairing was a brilliant choice, and provided a perfect melding of turkey, assorted "fixings' and a fine wine. Bacchus provided a wonderful environment and best class service. Recommended!!
My wife and I had our first year wedding anniversary dinner at the Bacchus Restaurant. We had a lovely and romantic dinner. Our server Simon was very friendly, attentive and pleasant. Please send him our thanks. Thank you all for a lovely experience.
One of the best restaurants in Vancouver with sensational ambiance!
Very romantic setting. Live music from the pianist was perfect. Great service and tasty food.
I had forgotten how lovely the ambience is, elegant but not too overbearing. Our waiter was excellent, discreet but attentive. My meal was excellent though my partner was a little underwhelmed by his choice. Overall a gem for a special night out.
My Newfoundland visitor was very impressed with the presentation and quality of the fish dishes. We both appreciated the little extras that graced the meal and were very pleased with the high quality of the service. It was a great setting for two old friends to share reminiscences over a first class meal.
Everything was great
Service is always outstanding. Scott is an excellent waiter and the others who assist are friendly and helpful. The piano is sometimes a bit loud and frenetic for good conversation. The food ranges from good to WOW!
Everything is excellent !
I took my 16 year old granddaughter to dine there Saturday night. She was ecstatic with everything. Though we were late by getting lost a table was courteously held for us. A memorable evening. Thank you.
Service was great! the restaurant is beautiful, very classic. Food was very good and there is live piano music, just too loud to have a conversation across the table without screaming.
Excellent food and service, exactly what you would expect from a fine dinning restaurant. We had a very nice evening.
Food was tasty and nicely served, but the menu was very disappointing. Only 5 or 6 dinner options, not including the duck which looked promising on the restaurant's website but has been discontinued. Also overpriced. Probably OK for people travelling on business but locals have many, many better places to eat.
Superb experience dining at Bacchus. The ambience and culinary delights were almost surpassed by the excellent service. Would definitely go again.
Superb evening, our hostess Rachel made a very special experience. Highly recommend this restaurant,
The service was excellent and my scallop dish was great. Two of my friends were not happy with their shrimp and avocado salad - said it was quite blah and one said the shrimp didn't seem fresh. Otherwise, lovely place and great service - and have the scallops with risotto - it's terrific.
Always good food, decent portions, nicely plated, good selection. Service is always excellent - prompt, efficient, friendly and professional. I always enjoy the environment. The room is comfortable, not crowded, quiet enough so you can have a conversation. Prices are very good for quality and quantity and especially the service. Always worth a visit and I certainly will continue to be a customer.
Great atmosphere and service. Food is a tiny bit overpriced for the quality. Still amazing though and I would recommend.
We've been coming for many years and Bacchus Lounge always delivers and never disappoints. It's a favorite cozy spot in the city. The lounge is one of the most beautiful rooms around!
Food and service were good. We ate at the restaurant and lounge on several occasions as we were staying at the hotel. The only negative was the maitre d - an unpleasant chap (at best) during breakfast and lunch service.
Very nice restaurant. A bit pricey but was for the girlfriends birthday. Once in a lifetime experience for her.
Great place for an excellent dinner in a quiet setting. Piano is great.
It had been a couple of years since we had last been to Bacchus for dinner. The menu is outstanding, very diverse and well balanced. The food was exceptionally good and the service was outstanding. Very nice dining experience.
The sever wasn’t very attentive... and she asked how many boxes we wanted for our leftover, I didn’t know how big their boxes were, so I asked for two which were clearly actually too few for our leftover because their boxes were very small, but she didn’t remind me of that.
This venue, menu, service and ambiance never disappoints. A Vancouver gem!
This was a return visit to this lovely restaurant and it never disappoints! The staff are wonderful, the service perfection and the food is delicious and beautifully presented. I guarantee to be returning again, as do my friends.
Thank you to all the staff and to the chef.
Best romantic ambience, elegant and affordable
I have been coming to your place for many years and every time it is a great experience ....Kurt
We came here for a date night and it was absolutely perfect! The service was quick and impeccable, the drinks and food were outstanding! The portions we’re the perfect size. I would highly recommend this reastaurant!
Food and Service were excellent.
The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Would recommend over and over again!
Colin was very helpful, professional and classy at my service. Love the live music, everyone was great.
Wonderful ambiance, great service, excellent food and a good 'vibe' at lunch; can imagine it would be 'hopping and energetic' for after work drinks or during dinner.
Our first time there, and we would definitely return.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Only criticism is that the room is tired. Has not changed in 30plus years.
Needs to be brought into 21st century.
