   Inattentive service even though we were the only table (there were 2 customers at the sushi bar. Not friendly - our party took note of that. My caterpillar roll was cut too thickly, and had a huge glob of wasabi concentrated in the last 2 pieces making them almost inedible. I had originally made reservations for 2 online, but made two phone calls to the restaurant to add another person to the party. Both times, l left messages requesting a callback to confirm my reservation change - they never called me. I definitely will not return.

   We had a wonderful dinner and will definitely be back soon. We tried a variety of dishes and found each one to be interesting and delicious. Service was excellent. Enjoyed sitting on the patio.

   Great happy hour. Sushi is always fresh. We also ordered the noodle bowl which got a big thumbs up from our almost 15 yr old whose BD we were celebrating. And he got a free dessert (our server gave him mochi with a lit candle; very cool!)! We also sang 2 versions of HB songs to him which extremely mortified him. Lol.

    I asked a separate waiter for some lemons for my water and she proceeded to hold her hand up at me and tell me “I need to wait” and then went to take the order from the table next to me. So incredibly rude and disrespectful as if I said something wrong to her. The food was good but I couldn’t believe this person.

    The start of our night was great. Being our 10 year anniversary they welcomed us warmly and told us our first round was on them. We were seated and ordered our drinks and waited a little while for our drinks. We ordered immediately all excited but then waited over an hour on our first course. We felt bad and didn’t make a fuss and or leave. We asked if our food was coming and she said the sushi was backed up. The server was very sweet but flustered. They seemed busy but had only a few tables each. The other server that was working was clearly stronger and her tables food came out before ours. There didn’t seem to be any team work going on. We got all are our food basically at once and ate and ordered another round of drinks that took almost 20 min. We got our check and paid leaving over 2 hours after our reservation. We literally went there to support local and give them another chance. I may come back but will definitely be ready for mediocre service and a possible wait. The Thai food seemed way more superior to the sushi and the house ramen was amazing as well as the papaya salad!

    Excellent food and service to boot. This is by far our favorite Sushi & Thai restaurant. We took our sister-n-law from Europe there and she relayed the best restaurant visited since coming to visit to the US for over 20 years now. Hats off to the staff who was extremely attentive to our needs and accommodations when friends/co-workers showed up unexpectedly.

    Not what we were expecting in terms of atmosphere or food. The sushi is good but it’s not Thai food, more like Thai inspired. Atmosphere was weird, not sure what kind of vibe they are going for. Probably will not return.

    Food was great, thick cuts of sashimi, fresh and with good flavor. The Tataki and soft shell crab were both great as well. Loved the combo of Thai and Japanese, I can't pass up a tom yum to mix it up over the standard miso. Will be back again.

    First time at Bagu. Place is small, but cozy. It was a full house on Sat evening. Food was excellent. Best sushi rolls and sashimi cuts were huge compared to other sushi places. We would definitely come back. The Poke Ahi was delicious and my favorite roll was the Shinjuku.
