We are conveniently located near Chrysler Freeway and Troy Commons Shopping Center Mall.
I reserved for 7pm and got there at 6:58pm. We got the table at 7::25 pm after they asked us if we wanted a table outside in the sun room. The left us waiting even though we had a reservation. Food was ok, not great. The drinks were really good.
The hostess at entrance did not believe our open table reservation and scrambled to find a table making us wait 20 minutes after our reservation time. The waitress was awesome but the mojito she brought tasted bad, the mint leaves were black and the other ingredients tasted old. The food was worse the steak was spoiled and tasted sour. The rice was under cooked and crunchy.
The manager comped our entire meal and asked if we wanted anything else but honestly I didn’t trust their kitchen. I liked the waitress it wasn’t her fault. I have been to another location in Chicago many times with family and love the place. This location in Michigan however seems to have some serious issues.
Paella is great. Plus they brought me a new glass of ice tea instead of just filling it up. Was nice to have fresh ice and a new lemon.
Omg my server brittany was awesome. We had the spinach dip and we had the caesar salad. For the entree we both tried the jerk chicken pasta. Everything was excellent. No complaints here. Drinks stayed full and food kept coming without waiting. Will definitely revisit. Favorite spot now.
Great food as always.
The service was really good, but the food was terrible. Went to the late night Happy Hour and they obviously make the food beforehand because the quality and taste reflect that. This is the second time that has happened so I definitely won’t be back. Sad because B.B. was such a good spot!
Fathers Day dinner- very busy, but were seated within 10minutes of arriving for our reservation. The walk-in wait was at least 90 min. Our server was very friendly and recommended some things from the current reggae fest menu. All the food was very good. Due to how busy they were, we were there almost 2 hours, but things came quickly as we ordered them, drinks, apps, entrees. It was a little loud with a full house, but it started to clear out a bit around 8. Overall a great Fathers Day meal.
We love BB, and visit frequently. The food is reliable and always tasty. Our favorites are the coconut shrimp and my personal fav is the crab stack, which I often have for dinner. We had a group of 7 adults + a 4 month old for Father's Day. Our server Eric was friendly and efficient! My only negative is that I had received an email saying there was a special rum flight being offered and Eric did not seem to know about it. Rather than take time to figure it out, we just ordered something else, but it would have been fun to try some different rums!
After the host sat us and didn’t inform anyone that I was a table that needed to be assigned a server, we ended with Lindsey who was great! She was very pleasant, accommodating and attentive. It wasn’t a great experience in the beginning but she made up for it!
We were seated immediately even though we were early. The wait staff was fairly attentive. The cuban sandwich was below par with WAY too much melted cheese.
We like Bahama Breeze and love to meet there whenever we get together.
Went out for girls' night Thursday evening. We made a reservation so were seated right away. Not that the place was packed anyway. The server was good and came by several times to see what we wanted to order. He was honest when asked about how good menu items were. The food was just meh. I had the chicken and bowtie alfredo pasta which was supposed to be something they were more known for. Also the calorie count to every menu item was posted and there were no really healthy options that looked tasty- even the salads set you back something like 1500 calories. The tortilla soup was sent back since it tasted weird. The pina colada drink was super sweet and barely touched (not worth the calories glaringly displayed on the menu). Honestly we all wished we didn't stray from Sedona Taphouse... overall it was an average dining experience, but a good time catching up with everyone in a decent atmospheric setting. There are just better restaurant options in Troy, which is probably the reason this restaurant would not be at the top of my list of places to return to.
Great food and service!
Amazing time! Great service and food! We love happy hour 1/2 off apps and drinks!
We loves all the meals and drinks. We very enjoyed the dinner, good food, very Caribbean style.
The waitress was great and knew we were going to be there for awhile talking and catching up. She was amazing checking up on us and keeping us on track but not bugging us at all. She respected our conversation. We really appreciated that!!
Good daily food grab. Best house salad. Great Happy Hour prices. The Crab Stack is superb, the mix of mango, avocado and crab creates a perfect blend. The ‘know stable’ of jerk wings are hit or miss, either good or over cooked.
James was awesome! He suggested great drinks and was very attentive! Food was amazing as usual!
Second time being here, and I love it! Our waiter Cam, was awesome and very friendly. Will definitely be back !
Mothers day, very busy at 4:00 pm! Food was great like always. Longer wait than usual for food to come up but the kitchen was slammed.
Great time, always recommended.
I enjoyed the food, my waitress, the music and the atmosphere
Our lunch with family was great at Bahama Breeze. The menu had a wide selection to choose from. We had a very friendly and attentive waitress. Our food came out fairly quickly, it was hot, and very tasty. We would definitely return to this restaurant.
It’s a good time! There is a wide variety of choices, live music on the weekends, and usually great service. Hint: ask for James as your server. There could be more choices for vegetarians, but pescatarians will find good fresh fish nicely prepared. Restrooms are on the second floor and the water in the sinks is scalding hot. Be careful.
Bad echo in our room, so very loud
Waitress was great! She made sure to attend to us and complied with every request. Food was very good. I feel it was a bit overpriced, however I had no complaints about the portions or the taste. We ordered a pitcher of Margarita that was mediocre at best. They would not allow us to order it with top shelf tequila so we had to order a couple of shots on the side. Overall it was good and would revisit at some time point.
Great place, great food and entertainment. Would recommend.
It was amazing
We were stuck in the patio area in full sun right next to the one man band. Music was obnoxiously loud for a 6pm dinner, we could not even hear the waitress. While the food and service was good the environment totally damped the experience.
Great service, great food, great portions, great ambiance! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Dinner took a while to come, but we were ok as it was a Saturday around 6 and we were enjoying catching up with friends. The manager did stop by and apologize for the delay.
Food came about 5-10 min later (still not that big of a deal)....they had the wrong dish for one of the people in our party and my husband's ribs were cold.
The two of us that received our food hot began to eat so it would not turn cold. My steak was more on the well done side than med-well, but that was ok
The other dishes finally came
Ribs were only ok...all other meals were good
The food and drinks were great! We enjoyed sitting on the patio with the live music!! It’s one of our favorite places to eat when we visit the area.
It was a great meal.
we haven't been to bahama breeze in about 3 years, we enjoyed it then. this time the noise level was so loud we had to shout across the table to hear. as a result we had very little conversation on sunday. my shrimp and grits tasted good but the grits were hard and dry. my sons hamburger was over well done, he said the french fries tasted bad. my other son ordered steak med. rare and it was med. well. my mom ordered her steak medium and it was well done and dry. our waitress was very nice. but it took a long time to order a glass of water when we arrived. water should be provided right away with the menu. we were all disappointed in our easter dinner and won't be back.
Food was cold and waitress never checked on us
Great happy hour
Shrimp appetizers were very good at a great price
Pleased with whole dining experience! Reservation on time, staff friendly + knowledgeable, drinks + appetizers were great and entrees were delicious.
Mediocre food, good booze, fun ambiance
The waiters and host were above helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my visit to Bahama Breeze and I’ll definitely return again
