Delicious food, fun menu, great location and atmosphere. Also a great value. I will definitely be back!
Overall a great lunch. Some issues with service. Seemed to take AGES just to get some hot water with lemon for my beverage. My friend was brought the wrong soup and no soup spoon.
Low score for the disgusting state of the bathrooms which to me is telltale. That and a steak that came to the table very well done from the heat lamp which was redeemed with comp'ed drinks. Food is good, just good. There are better options in the hood for same or less. Mercado, Lena, Richtree Market to name a few.
Great service! Expensive wine. Fabulous pierogies!!
We went because we were picking up our tourtiere. Everyone was very helpful.
Both the food and their service is good. I highly recommended.
Our group loved the food and the clever menu and drink specials and especially our friendly helpful server and his Irish accent.
So pleased to see an interesting array of vegetarian and vegan!
The fries served with the fish & chips, and put on the roast duck poutine pizza, were poor. They tasted like McCain or Cavendish frozen straight-cut fries.
Please cut you pizza or give pizza cutting scissors. I found it difficult to cut with the knife provided. Therefore it was difficult to eat.
Good recommendation and solid food. Had trouble finishing it all.
Excellent food and service! Servers were attentive, the place was busier and noisier than I expected.
Great comfort food served in an attentive and friendly manner. The entire experience was excellent.
Our food and service were both very good. The location if perfect after a day of shopping at the Eaton Centre.
We were surprised and somewhat disappointed at the menu change. We always enjoyed the arugula salad and the Brussel sprouts which are both gone.
I gave the noise level a high score, but not because it was energetic. Just to opposite, the noise level was perfect for conversing with my party. Bannock has always been top notch, and was my first choice for my birthday dinner. No regrets! Delicious food (especially the signature bannock basket) and excellent drinks made it a memorable evening.
Our professional and personable server Abby made it a 5 starexperience!
I have been brunching here for years and recently I have become more and more disappointed. The menu choices have shrunk, as have the portion sizes. The scrambled egg with smoked salmon and arugula now has a mere dollop of dry egg atop a mountain of greens....no arugula in sight, only a few ribbons of fried bannock for garnish. And the eggs must be golden to command a price of $22 for eggs Benedict!
Perfect casual Canadian eatery. Food was delicious and the staff exceptional!
Great Canadian classics. Things you wont find anywhere else. Service was a little on the slow side.
I had the pork shoulder tourtierre and my wife chose the turkey burger. Mine was great- very tasty, hot and a good portion with a nice flaky crust. My wife’s burger was huge and very nicely done. Her only complaint was that it was a slightly bland- it needed a bit more flavor, perhaps a sauce or condiment of some sort.
The restaurant was busy, but service was quick and attentive and we were seated promptly on arrival despite just having booked our reservation online less than an hour earlier.
Overall a great experience, great food, and great service. Would certainly recommend!
The service was the problem. Lots of people, and they were very courteous. But, they all seemed disorganized, and we were lost in the shuffle - waited 15 minutes to try to get any orders taken and finally had to go ask the manager (who then bent over backwards for us and became our server). Again, right intentions, but system and assignments needed work. Food was very good.
Food combinations were very intriguing and tasted lovely. Service was pretty good, yet the restaurant needs better ventilation. When you exit the restaurant all of your clothes and hair smell of fried food. It's not very great and takes a while to get out of your clothes.
Food and service were great. I had the chicken pot pie and my husband the pork tourtiere. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. My only complaint would be the music was too loud
Terrible attitude by host when we requested lower seats (not high stools) for our small kids and other tables were clearly available. Slow service. Service slow. Food uninteresting. Used to be a great plate. Now mediocre.
Very good “comfort food” served in a pleasant setting. Service was also excellent.
The wait for a table was a bit long - the wait for a server was even longer due to being short staffed on Take your Kid to Work day as we were told. The food is always delicious and the servers always friendly. I think next time, we will come after the lunch rush.
Good food, noisy when crowded. Just don’t go into the ladies bathroom. Gross!
I am always pleased with the food everytime I'm here.
A nice slant in modernizing Canadian comfort foods.
Fab people and food ! We hosted a pretty wedding brunch and the staff was super accommodating and friendly. Thank you for making our experience a great one !
Awesome food, great service and excellent referral of food.
As always the service at Bannock was outstanding!
The food was good just alot of it, not sure if the food hit my stomach weird or I ate too fast but I'm leaning towards I ate too fast because it did upset my stomach. Food was good tho which is why I ate it too fast
We went for a Thanksgiving dinner, but they had run out of turkey and it was very busy, so the service took a while and we had to order something else. However, the quality of food, the good value for money and the kindness and dedication of the staff made all the experience worth it. They also served us a salad and the dessert on them, due to the wait. So in the end and despite the inconvenients, our experience was outstanding!
Thanksgiving dinner.
I ordered the 2 course of turkey dinner.
However, it contained only one slice of turkey. To be honest, I felt a bit disappointed.
Cocktail (Autumn Harvest Sangria) and apple pie were nice.
I didn't know Canada had culture before I went to bannock. And Im Canadian. Lol.
Turkey sandwich was amazing!
Showed up for reservation to be told they ran out of thanksgiving lunch
Bit disappointed with food and service. We had the Prix Fixe Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner. The waitress was so so, and we waited quite a while for our food, then another half hour for our dessert. We finally had to ask a bus boy about the dessert as the restaurant cleared out. Our waitress didn't check but did apologize when she brought the dessert. The turkey tasted a bit odd, but it was well presented. The price was good. $95 for two dinners with dessert and a bottle of wine. The bottle of wine saved us.
