I enjoyed our visit. Service was quick and pleasant. Great ambiance and the food was delicious. Would recommend.
Superb service, great food
Have enjoyed each visit. Friendly and prompt service from knowledgeable staff. Friendly greetings at door. Delicious food with vegetarian and some gluten free options.
Discovered during Winterlicious
Yummy food, nice ambiance, great service
10/10 would recommend
The food was decent but came out before our drinks arrived.
Good quality food and great ambiance.
The restaurant was empty but when I called to reserve a table for two I was told it was full due to Winterlicious. When I got there the restaurant was only at 20% capacity.
The food was OK seemed like canned food to me very little freshly made.
I was asked if this was a special occasion and it was. We were celebrating 2 birthdays so I was disappointed that the birthday ladies were charged for their dessert. Not certain how it would work for winterlicious but at least some acknowledgement? or a scoop of ice cream??
We enjoyed our winterlicious menu. Will definitely come back again. The portion sizes could be better.
The winterlicious lunch menu was fantastic!!!
Service was fine but food took forever to come and the food was terrible.
Bannock's Winterlicious was okay. The menu looked great online because of the interesting options and good variety, but nothing blew me away. I had the meatballs to start (liked them), the tandoori chicken pizza (could have been better - the yogurt dollops were large, and not that much chicken), and the brownie (looked bigger in pictures online and I expected it to be warm but it wasn't). Service was good, and everything was good overall but nothing special.
Service was mediocre. The chicken pot pie that I ordered tasted similar to frozen chicken pot pies I have purchased from the grocery store and reheated it in the oven. Food was not bad but nothing special. Poutine was very good. Sparkling water for $7 is also ridiculous.
I ordered from the Winterlicious menu. The arugula salad with pickled beets was good but my salmon was overcooked and the plating of the dish could have used a different platter.
The wait staff were courteous and efficient.
It’s always a pleasure to eat here! Today’s lunch was no exception.
Nice meal wth family in an interesting place & trying new dishes
I’ve written everything I wanted to say over on trip advisor, but I have to say I was just so let down by this place overall. Been waiting for years to go, and it was just... bland. Also — what’s the deal with a bannock box that doesn’t contain bannock?
Good home style food, decor is canadiana themed, service is outstanding.
Went for a business lunch. The service was prompt and always nearby. My companion had special requests which were all met.
Food-wise, I found my entry okay. I ordered the chicken pot pie and found it was VERY salty.
We went for Winterlicious. There were 3 in the party. We all enjoyed our meals. Good value and good food. Very casual and noisy. Service was very good.
Very boring food and over priced. Service was good
Went during lunch for Winterlicious and had to wait 10 minutes for a reserved table although there were plenty of empty tables for two available. Took too long to place the order and had to ask when the main course would be served. The food was finally served 1 hour after the reservation time. We had to eat in a hurry and had to have the desert to go. Not impressed.
Food was good. Went for winterlicious but it was terribly slow service. Almost 2 hours for lunch
Very good chill environment. Can go with friends or take a date. They have several TVs on the bar side if you wanted to catch a game or something. If you want something more intimate, the other side is very nice. Always had good service when I eat here. Food is good... nothing exceptional but the price point is good. I would say the resturant is better than similar options like Turtle Jack's or Kelseys.
The chef's menu choices were superb as was the execution of each plate. The flavour profiles exceeded my expectations and the quality of the ingredients, food presentation and temperatures were spot on!!!
Bannock is one of our favorite places to go. We were recently there during winterlicious and the choices were plentiful and all delicious
The appetizer was under cooked. It was like pita and hummus. The pita was doughy. My main and dish and dessert was good. The hamburger was ok but the back bacon was raw to the point that it could make you sick. But they took it off the bill
The food was good. Portions were all over the place though. Some too small and others too big.
The service was slow as a snail. We were the first ones seated yet took 30 mons to get each course.
We had to raise out hands to flag down ANY server.
A lunch thay started at 1130am didn’t end until 145pm because of the wait and inattentive staff.
The restaurant is in a perfect location for offices and commuters accessibility. There’s only construction when we went there yesterday but the food was great and the interior is fancy and homey. The servers are very approachable too and very fast service.
Another O&B great experience!
The food was great. This is a great place to go for lunch or for a quick dinner with friends.
Been to Bannock twice for summerlicious and winterlicious now and both times my partner and I were impressed with the food! They serve hearty and delicious comfort food, we will be back for more!
Food is always delicious and comforting. Excellent choice for those who enjoy your Canadian fare with a bit of flare. Friendly staff. Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Worth the money.
Food was nothing spectacular but very tasty. Rest was awesome
My fiance and I had been meaning to check out Bannock for a while and seized the opportunity to try their Winterlicious menu. We were very disappointed, therefore, to find that the food and drink didn't live up to its reputation. The "braised beef" our in cavatelli was almost entirely gristle and the pasta sauce was bland and uninspiring. Desert was soggy and the cocktails were nothing to write home about. The sole redeeming feature of our experience was the squash soup. Our server was great, but the bartender was asleep at the wheel and had to be reminded three times to make the drinks we'd ordered. We will not be coming back and will be advising anyone thinking of spending money on a three-course meal there to do the same.
Food was good, as usual. Change of drink menu meant the Mighty Canuck was no longer available. Sad! A little noisy and quite warm.
Service was excellent and responsive
Disappointing. The salmon was way overdone. The service was strange. Nobody seemed to know who was supposed to service out table. The chairs are brutally uncomfortable. Expensive for what you get. Won't be rushing back.
My date wanted seafood crab cake that was on menu. Said no longer in kitchen. Really disappointing.
all was great. had the fish and chips as we have been looking for a great place for that. the completion that claim to mimic english pub food don't cut it. i would come back if they add a coleslaw addition to the fish and chips plate which would make it a 5 star plate.
staff were great.
