Great service and excellent food. I would highly recommend.
It was great!
Great service and atmosphere. The food was great as well, it just didn't deserve the marked up hotel price tag. Could get the same items somewhere else for less.
Good place for fancy drinks after work.
We had to wait one hour and 15 min for our food to be served. The server first told us that they were having technical issues with the computer, then after another long wait, he told us the order was lost... He was very nice, we knew it was not his fault. The manager came to the table to apologize. She did not charge for our lunch, and gave us a small plate with chocolates and a bread pudding to reward us for our patience. All of the food was amazing, I need to say.
Sadly, this is not the first time we encounter problems in this restaurant. We are regulars here, as we live very close and like to sponsor Four Seasons for its quality, but Bar Margot needs to get its act together to keep up with the expectations customers have from a Four Seasons. We will probably try it one more time, once we forget this experience, and because the manager handled it pretty well. Again, the server was great, but the food wait was way too long- totally unacceptable and ruined it all.
Very civilized, great service although it can be bustling weekend evenings.
Welcome to Four Seasons!
I brought a co worker here for a pre wedding dinner celebration. Our arrival went well, first round of drinks ordered and served in a timely manner. We ordered The deviled egg appetizer which was very well prepared. We then ordered our second round of drinks, and that’s when things went south. After waiting Over 30 minutes for our second round of drinks we finally called over another server. She informed us that our server had gone on break, but had not informed her of anything we had ordered. At this time we had also still not been able to order our main course. She brought the drinks that he had supposedly placed an order for, but the order was incorrect. After correction, we ordered our meal. My dining partner was satisfied with her chicken dish, but my burger was over done... we then waited quite a long time for a water refill let alone our server to ask if we needed anything. Our overall bill of $122 for 4 drinks, a chicken dish, and a burger plus shabby service is in my opinion, astronomical. I do not think I will return.
Went for a late business lunch on a Friday and received TERRIBLE service from Mike (I believe that was his name as that is what was on the check - he never did introduce himself). His whole demeanor screamed that he did not want to be bothered with us - I am guessing because we were having a business meal and not drinking. The tables around us appeared to received prompt, attentive service. Among other issues, he took our order 25 minutes after we sat down, the food was delivered (not by him) without soup spoons, and we did not receive the beverages we had ordered until more than halfway through our lunch. The Four Seasons is known for impeccable service, and this did not meet standard.
We thoroughly enjoyed our business lunch at Bar Margot. The setting, service, and food all were excellent. We definitely will return and recommend to others in our firm (and outside of it).
We stopped by for a drink and a couple of small plates before a concert at symphony hall. The bar area was nice. It was full but didn’t feel crowded. The mussels are excellent.
Convenient to the Woodruff Center. Rather pricey for the quality and amount of food. If we had it to do over we would have just ordered more appetizers and the mac and cheese rather than the main plates. But I have to repeat that it is a great location for dining prior to the symphony or the theater.
My favorite GNO spot
The food was tasty but the portions are VERY small especially for the price. The restaurant itself is small, my party of 6 was sat next to the hostess stand basically in the vestibule. I had a great time with friends but I don’t think I’ll go back.
Beautiful decor and good food but our server clearly wasn’t trained properly on how to wait on a table, especially in a Four Seasons restaurant. I have stayed there and eaten there several times before. The server told us she had been there since October. Her skills were lacking and she was struggling with timing because there is a certain flow required to wait tables properly and she didn’t have it. We ordered a $250 bottle of wine and her wine service skills were poor. She came to the table without a wine tool and used her leg to balance the bottle as she pulled the cork. Twice she served another course without presenting clean utensils. She seemed hurried, frustrated and lacked fine dining skills.
Thank you Rafet and Brian and team for hosting Katia and me so well. Rudy
Would love to see an
the venue is gorgeous. the food was ok, but not what it had been written up to be
For an unhurried lunch with excellent service and food as and when you want it, Bar Margot is the place.
Great food with huge portions. My only complaint is the low tables which are combined with normal height chairs so your knees hit them. If your not going to do standard height tables then get non-standard height chairs.
My server Dante was awesome, great service, very attentive and overall super pleasant.
Drinks were great, and my Cacio e Pepe was super yummy.
My only negative was the charcuterie board. It’s $32 but it’s very lackluster compared to other boards I’ve had around town. I’m not sure why it’s so high but I did enjoy the honey.
Great spot to chill and grab bites especially after work. Mature crowd and ambiance.
Very disappointed as I had thought it was the Four Seasons restaurant that I had enjoyed many times. Just figured the name had changed. Bar very loud and we finally were seated in the balcony but it all was very weird. Won’t go again.
We enjoyed our meal but despite having reservations, service was slow and at times sloppy. We hope that this was only an outlier.
Bar Margot is always delicious. Nice people watching spot. Service was good. Got us in and out of there right on time to make it to our after dinner concert. Keep up the good work!
Outstanding service and food
The food was excellent. Crispy trout is a first rate entree. I also really enjoyed the burrata with apples and country bread. The Bar Margot gin cocktail was first rate, the Fords gin was a nice touch. Enjoyed my mousse for dessert. Taylor’s service was downright terrific. Made for a very nice evening.
The food was great - really liked it. We dad octopus, ceviche, lobster, and trout (among all five of us) plus barrata to share plus Caccio e Pepe and Papardelle. The food was fantastic.
The service was NOT GOOD. One person's meal FINALLY came after everyone else was almost finished (he asked us to go ahead), and the wait person was very hard to track down. That was not really her fault, though, because it was evident that she was trying to cover a lot of tables and that there were not enough people to cover the number of tables. She was still quite nice but was just overwhelmed by not having support. Maybe someone did not show up for the shift?
I would still go back.
Mediocre food for expensive fare. Hotel bars tend to be lackluster in food options, but I thought this one would be different. Meh. Drinks, however, were nice!
My trout was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Everything that came with it was to die for and I still felt healthy after eating it! I love Bar Margot the food has yet to disappoint
I would recommend sitting in the bar area instead of the dining area.
Server was very slow.
Nice ambiance and cozy atmosphere. Very friendly staff! Dishes were nice but I would expect a bigger wine list.
