A old style steak house. Excellent service. The steak properly cooked. Melt in mouth perfection. No TV blaring some sports channel. Quiet background music, conversation at normal speaking level. A treat will go back for sure. Not a hipster in sight.😀
We love the food at Bardi’s; but the service is always very bad.
We come frequently before heading to games, so I know this wasn’t just a bad night.
Servers don’t return in a timely manner to clear plates. Other servers walk by and ignore dirty dishes as well.
A server should always be attentive; not only to their tables but to all.
A server should never go back to the kitchen empty handed. It’s not a huge restaurant; so they should be able to manage.
We spoke to our server and the host on our way out; both seemed to not care.
Great service and really delicious food! A good, old-school steakhouse for a birthday celebration.
Everything was great. Just not so sure I want to spend that much on dinner. Would have to be a pretty special event.
We found the food was wonderful and the service was very good. I did not receivemy doggy bag so my four-legged family member was without his treat; otherwise, we werevery pleased and would certainly return.
Incredibly delicious steak, cooked perfectly. Dry-aged for 50+ days, had a wonderful funky taste. I would recommend this place - definitely worth the price.
One minor oddity was that I find with most upscale dining restaurants, the chefs are capable of making things to order. The menu indicated that the restaurant could only do baked, fries or rice. When I asked whether the chef could do mashed potatoes, the answer was an immediate "Not tonight." This isn't to say that the baked potato wasn't lovely. I just assumed that in a fine-dining establishment, the restaurant would be able to accommodate to the guests.
Overall, the food was wonderful and the service was great. Would definitely recommend.
Haven't been to Bardi's in years but it is still the best steak house in Toronto. The only downer was the Leafs loosing to the Islanders...…!
Meal was very expensive but best steak ever. Service excellent. For the cost of this meal, I would have expected better china and cutlery, not the cheap diner kind. Ambiance could also be nicer. Walking distance to Scotia Bank Arena, and entertainment district so great location. Overall a very nice dining experience but a one time only at these prices.
Bone in rib steak was incredible!
Great steak. Great ambience. Excellent service. Good location.
Always a great dinner before the Leafs win
Steak is good, ambience is quiet which I think a good place to do business meeting.
Great steakhouse. Pre hockey game so a bit more rushed and crowded than normal but understandably. Very good food. Menu selection is typical steakhouse.
Warm, cozy classic steakhouse.
Excellent wine list, professional unfussy service.
Look forward to returning.
We are trying all the steak houses in Toronto for fun. Bardi’s is on the list. Made a reservation mid day for the same evening. Our arrival and service were both friendly and attentive. Our Caesar salads were tasty. Our NY steaks were just so-so. They were lacking flavour however they were done to the correct degree of doneness. The side of mushrooms, while presented nicely in a separate small dish, was bland. The ambience, with being small and quaint, was perfect, the condition of the place however was less than desirable.
Good food. Pricey wine list. Great service. Very friendly.
Service was great and wine selection is excellent. Overall value for money is definitely not worth it and definitely overpriced for what you get.
The restaurant is lovely inside, very old school Anglo-Saxon steakhouse, and the food is standard fare for such a steakhouse. I found the prices rather steep for what you're getting though. No wagu or outlandish quality here just standard stuff so hard to justify $50 for a steak I can get at Keg for less. Still the vibe inside was really nice and it's a great date spot.
Bardi's has been around for 52 years my last experience there has left me wondering how much longer it will be. On previous visits I have found my steak there to be fantastic this time not so much. I am pretty sure this will be my last visit to Bardis as there are many steak places in Toronto offering better steaks for the price. If I am going to spend $100+ for a meal I will be doing so elsewhere. Very disappointing to say the least.
First time at Bardi's, you know when you enter, it is more upscale steakhouse restaurant but unlike Keg, very real friendly staff to accommodate us. They took reservations on a Friday and a table of 8 request. Food choices were amazing, small but focuses on quality. Wine list, this is their specialty. Wide range of choices and prices. Just read their wine list and you will learn about wine brands. Thank you to the staff there who treated us like gold. We will be back again and reserve on Opentable.
Quiet night, servers gathered around the bar to chat; we were seated by the bar.
The steak was splendid but the server added sour cream to my potato when I requested it on the side. He didn't offer to replace the potato. There was only one Cabernet by the glass on offer - a domestic one - we purchased a half bottle instead and my husband doesn't drink. They were out of creme brulee for desert.
Overall, for the cost, a disappointing anniversary. Many other better restaurants in this city.
Steaks were great as usual. I great night out
Amazing steak house. Meat is best in city. Service was incredible. Got us in and out quick but not rushed for Raptors game
Excellent food and wonderful old school service! This place is a Jem. If you’re lucky you’ll have the pleasure to be served by Gus, Miguel and Chris; you won’t forget it.
Slow service, poor staff, not worth the money at all!
A very nice, clubby, traditional steakhouse - we were surprised afterwards to be informed by OpenTable that we had not honoured our reservation since we most definitely were there at the right time and date. Great meal.
Best steakhouse in Toronto -- by far. Great food, great staff, great authentic steakhouse atmosphere!
I had dinner with my son who is in University in Toronto. Restaurant was quiet in terms of number of tables occupied due in part to the first snow fall. The number of staff should have made the service easy but it was a challenge to get service at times. The food was average at best and definitely below average when compared to the prices. There was another table near us that was very loud and at times, difficult to have a conversation. Don't know whether this one experience is an anomaly or par for the course but I won't be returning.
I went here for dinner to have a meetup with some people. The food and service was fantastic. It's my second time here and will definitely be back.
This place is an establishment. Food and service were perfect. It only lost a few points for being a tad dated in decor.
Service. The best.
Restaurante con ambiente clásico. Buena calidad de los productos. Servicio normal. Necesitaría una reforma para su modernizacion
Great classic steakhouse with an extensive wine list
We had the steaks and they were excellent. We will go back.
Nice restaurant good food
The prices are high
Medium value to money
The menu is pricey but I haven’t eaten a better steak in Toronto. It has the perfect atomosphere for a date. Conveniently close to the downtown core.
OUTSTANDING, my favourite steakhouse in the GTA by far!
Steak Salad was amazing, melt in your mouth steak and love the blue cheese dressing. Great service.
Was hoping for surf and turf checked menu on line unfortunately no lobster on the menu. Service was good but forgot our salads. Offered free desert for the error. Medium steak was more medium well. Well steak was more medium well and returned to be cooked more. Salmon was okay nothing was really outstanding.
Service was pleasant and staff was attentive. Food quality was very good.
If you want steak with original charm is the place. Great for a business meal or pre-game meal. I’m from out of town and when I’m there I make time to have a nice meal here. My business friends love the place too.
