   The first thing we were told when we sat down was that it could take a while to be served because the waitresses were arguing over who gets what section. I don't want to sit down for my mothers day dinner and have the first words be to tell me, in so many words, the girls are arguing and our service is going to suck. My teen daughter was spending her hard earned money to bring me to dinner and we just felt like idiots picking this restaurant. Our waitress was kind enough but unattentive, we had to wait and wait to ask to order, and for a refill, and for our dessert, and for our bill. And not like an impatient wait, more like "omg will they stop conversing behind the bar and get out here already?" Such long waits for the waitress to reappear. At one point she came to refill our waters but faced away from our table to use that moment to check on the other table. Like, hello? Please don't slide your backwards hand over the table to grasp my glass while talking to a other table... take the moment to serve a table before serving the next. We each ordered calamari and a Caesar salad. The calamari looked beat-up and half breaded, and the serving was 50% thick cut jalapeños, served with three tiny dorito sized dry pieces of bread. The Caesar salad was a pathetically small pile of barely dressed lettuce ribs with one, sad and lonely crouton. I still shudder at the thought of what they charged for those salads. The most bizarre part was the music. Some sort of stingray station that was playing what sounded like obscure movie end-credit instrumental. It was loud and obnoxious. I really don't want to listen to sweeping scores with accompanying Sleigh bells while trying to dine in a pub... different. All in all our bill came to $80 for two people. We ended up at mcdonalds on the way home cuz we weren't satiated. Would I come back to do *this* again? No. There's a lot of impovement needed.

   I made a reservation online for this restaurant, and when we arrived, they did not have our reservation. It seemed like they were really short staffed, and even though there weren't a lot of tables, we had to wait quite a hile for our dinner.

    First time visiting this pub. Booked based on reviews. When we arrived I was a little concerned based solely on the dated exterior/ interior (looked very nice just not what we expected). I didn't need to be concerned at all! Service was great, food was delicious ! We ordered two amazing beers..one was beer with a lime slush, and one was beer with grapefruit juice. Both were awesome for a hot day on their patio sitting under the misters. We also ordered the deep fried pickles and I can honestly say they were the best I have ever had. The fish and chips were very tasty as well. Definitely glad we found this pub. We will be back.

    It was great food and atmosphere. The only downside was we told our server we were going outside briefly and came back to our table being cleared and people waiting to be seated. We had ordered more drinks so they knew we weren't done. We hadn't paid our bill yet. Likely a miscommunication.

    I love the barley mill but they need to get their online bookings sorted out. This is the third or fourth time I’ve made a reservation for a larger group using the online feature and then showed up to hem having no clue about my reservation and no table saved. Even though I have all the confirmation emails and texts. When I showed the hostess my confirmation she said “you just need to call, we don’t check those.” So I guess calling in is the only way you can guarantee your reservation, so they should remove the online booking feature in my opinion. Other than reservations I love it here!

    We were there over 2 hours. Our server had a complicated table which for some reason was prioritized by everyone in the restaurant at the expense of everyone else. One table waited 20 minutes for their drinks.

    We were a group of 7. Some friends had come for the weekend from the coast. Our table was in a little alcove so we felt quite private. Everyone said they enjoyed their meal and the service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be coming back.

    Server was excellent and value very good - lots of food Chicken Parmesan was partly cold Was not impressed by Sweet Ball dessert but rest of dinner was good Food at Barley Mill is almost always very good and nice variety Love the spinach dip with pita chips and the Baja Salad

    The food is always excellent. went for the meat raffle on Sunday starts at 1:15 goes till about 3 and we had lunch dessert and coffee and it was most excellent. Could barely move after eating a plate of the french dip.good way to spend a few hours in the afternoon with friends and family.helps if you win too...
