Barnstormer Brewing Company
Friday to Saturday: 11:00-1:00AM
Very nice luncheon today at Barnstormer Brewing in Barrie. Gorgeous afternoon so the roll up door was open, giving a sheltered patio feel. Crab cakes, fish tacos, mushroom brie burger and charcuterie board were all tasty and pleasingly presented. Flight of 4 beers brewed in-house provided a nice sampling. I shall return!
Hi there. Our team from work dined at Barnstormers for lunch for my birthday and it was fabulous. We had previously eaten there before and had a great experience so the choice was easy where we should go. I have had a few things on the menu from previous visits but this was the first time having the fish tacos. I quite enjoyed them. They were cooked perfectly and the beer batter was very tasty and didn't over take the fish. We will definitely be going back!
Best food I've had in s long time. Everyone loved their meal.
Great food. Good service. Loads of good beer options. Love the fresh ingredients!
Beer is overpriced, for bloody sakes, you make it right there on premises! Less than $3 for a can at lcbo, yet $8 for 16oz what gives?
Very busy and loud And that was before the live music. However the artist was fantastic when he came on at 8:00. Great vocals 👍🏾
Our first experience tasting Barnstormer beer was on a craft beer cruise in the Toronto harbour in 2014. After learning that the "F-Bomb Blonde" (now called 400 Blonde due to LCBO shelving rules) that we loved was brewed in Barrie, being from Newmarket, my parents took a drive up to see what it was all about! Not only was the atmosphere great, the pizza is so hard to beat, and we love the flavour of the spend crust. Also - the cajun dusted chicken wings are some of the best we've ever had. And, each time, we're always impressed with the friendly staff! They are always so friendly and helpful!
We've been back many times, including for events such as a pottery-making workshop!
We also love that we can take growlers and tall-cans to go, and are obsessed with Terry's Hot Sauce that is also available (and super reasonably priced) to take home as well! We highly recommend this location & experience!
Great meal with fantastic beer!
Alway great! Fantastic food, great beer and wonderful service.
This is a great spot for the local craft beer and the pizza is delicious! I recommend the Crash and Burn pizza but beware - those jalapeños are HOT!!! We also enjoyed the dry wings which were tasty!
I suggest the German inspired wheat beers and my partner loves the IPAs.
Excellent beer made in house. Great food that great value and fresh. Service is always good. We go a few times per year. Love barnstormer!
Fish tacos never fail, simply cannot find anywhere that compares.
Deep fried pickles in light batter are also perfect.
We visited Barnstormers from out of town while staying at a resort about 30 minutes away. The food was decent and the beer was good, but our dining experience wasn't the best. The whole meal we felt rushed although it was a Monday evening around 7pm and the place was not full. Our salads and soup arrived in a timely manner but before half of the table was finished eating the appetizers the main course was delivered to the table. We were in and out of the place within an hour and barely had time to finish one beer each. I would recommend re-examining delivery timing to allow for a more relaxed meal by your patrons.
Service was great!! Good size portion of food. The only disappointment was the cold, hard cheese curds served on the poutine. Three orders of it. The waitress offered to replace the orders , but the craving was lost. The other dishes of food were yummy.
The theming was great. We ordered the skirt steak which was good (not overly warm), but fries were excellent. However I was a little put off by the fact that they pile the fries on top of an aioli. I don't like aioli, so I wish they would have mentioned that. I wouldn't have had to waste half of my fries.
Great service. Excellent food. The mussels and burgers are wickly great! Polite server with a friendly smile. Lots of craft beer to choose from. Highly recommended.
Repeat visit, it was a nice day, front door was open and our server was great. I was the dd so no beer but the flight at the table was enjoyed.
Was there 2 years ago and was impressed did the brewrey tour and ate and had some beer came back and still just as good service was great beer was excellent and the pizza was outstanding.
We went here twice during Barrielicious and had 3 courses for $25. The food was great, my husband had the burger and I had the pulled pork. The burger was cooked perfectly and the buns were so fresh. The brownie they had for dessert with the beer caramel sauce was to die for. This is a craft brewery and they have many choices of beer available. My husband had a pint of True North Beer and the 400. His favorite so far is the 400. Great atmosphere, I love the upcycling of the plane parts and the bowling alley tables. This is a great bar/restaurant.
Great atmosphere! Beer is fantastic! Food is the best. Always a great time here. Keeps us coming back from GTA
Never been disappointed here. Always a great experience with amazing beer selections and incredible food!
I always enjoy my visit... that's why I'm a regular!!
The setting for Barnstormer is not excellent a strip mall, with no view to speak of. However to their credit that have made the trip worthwhile, with excellent food, great craft beer created on site, good ambience inside and an interesting menu. Helped that our waitress was perfect, just enough - not too much. Also they have a retail store for beer and paraphernalia purchases. We had the Cat III Whiteout pizza. It was absolutely excellent. Don't let "white" throw you off, it is not a yucky cream sauce all over the top, you need to try this "pie", trust me!! We had the flight of home brews, they were all great. We bought some off the 400 (Hwy) and Watermelon ale. We will be back hoping to try other food items, but I can imagine going back to the Cat III it was that good!!
Great food. Cool atmosphere.
Always enjoy going to Barnstormer - it's close to work so we've been going there since the first week it opened - the first class fries & the white out pizza are awesome! This visit was for my birthday & we had great food in a good atmosphere. Will be back again soon!
I'm reluctant to leave a bad review as we are frequent patrons of Barnstormers and with the exception of our last visit have always had a positive experience enjoying the service, food and atmosphere. However, on this visit the customer service left a lot to be desired. We made our reservations two days prior and when we arrived another couple was just ahead of us and although they did not have reservations, they were seated in the general dining room while we were directed to a back booth, facing the kitchen, close to the restrooms and in front of a booth that was being used by staff to cash out. While sitting there waiting to be served we were privy to staff conversing with each other, commenting on the patrons (VERY unprofessional), noisily counting their change and generally discussing their shift with coworkers. There seemed to be NO regard whatsoever for that fact that paying guests were seated within immediate earshot. Food and beverages were excellent as always. We were looking forward to a evening out at one of our favorite local eateries but the experience was definitely overshadowed by the lack of customer service and professionalism displayed by some staff.
Wednesday pub trivia night is our favourite date night and friends get together. We love the beer and food
Even though I had made a reservation very far in advance, we were made to wait 45 for our table. My mother who was with us, is 79 and standing in the lobby was very uncomfortable for her. The food was average. The waitress never returned to our table with change from a $20 to pay for a $7.50 drink. The live music was very good but too loud for the small space. Perhaps this is the best that Barrie has to offer, but I was very disappointed. This was a birthday celebration so next year we will look elsewhere.
Our group attended for brewhaha. 3 of us would return and recommend this event. It is a unique and worthwhile initiative. Angel, the host, is energetic and invested which resonates with all stakeholders and sets the tone for an entertaining evening.
Went for lunch with my daughter.. we were on a time frame and in and out within an hour at lunch time and not rushed.
Food fabulous and I can't wait to go back. Had small gluten free pizza and ate it all ..was delicious . A small could easily feed two adults...
Love the atmosphere, décor.. selection and friendly staff.
Definitely on my " go again list.
Great food and he beer can't be beat! Friendly service and love the vibe. Best local watering hole for locals living in the south end of Barrie and for beer lovers passing through.
food was outstanding, beer was even better! a new favourite!
A very enjoyable evening, good food with outstanding service. The entertainment was a lot of fun too. The one downfall was that they ran out of 400:( Overall, it was a great night out!
Cold beer and terrific pizza! Great for a friend's get together or date night.
This was one of the Saints and Sinners tour and I unfortunately didn't get here during the tour but made a point of going next time in Barrie. Worth the trip!
Courtney was great. I recommend the pizza and the 400 beer. Would like to try flights next time. Also, don't forget to look at the pictures and the aircraft assembly (on ceiling) and equipment on the short walls.
One of my all time favourite spots have been often Always a great !time live there food Had my birthday there !!!
Great beer, great food, great live music, service was good, they were pretty busy so it's understandable. It's a little cramped inside. Pizza was awesome, all around definitely will be back!
The place was nice. It was a little crowed but to be expected for the beginning of barrilious. Will go back again.
The family agrees that this is one of the best pizzas around! My vegetarian wrap was amazing and filling. The live music was awesome and unobtrusive; she sounded like Melissa Etheridge! We would definitely go back again!
I was very disappointed that the wine was so overpriced. I went to the restaurant with my husband and son. Both of them are beer fans and enjoyed trying the different brews. I don't care for beer and I cannot justify paying $10 for a glass of wine. I don't understand why restaurants charge so much for wine. I buy a variety of wine at the liquor store and I can get a nice bottle for $15. Buy cheaper wine and charge less. I enjoy having a drink with my dinner and sadly next time I would let the boys go to Barnstormers on their own. It is too bad as the food was great and it had a fun atmosphere.
