We followed up on the experience we enjoyed a couple of weeks ago, hosting dear friends who had not had the pleasure to dine at Barola before. This occasion was every bit as good as our recent one. We were served by Brooke, who was just as good as Emma who served us last time. The 4-course tasting menu provided the opportunity to try some of the entrees we had not chosen before, and each was a hit. We each selected the wine pairing option, and Brooke did a notable job describing the different wines selected for each menu item, especially as paired with the food itself. Many thanks again for treating us to such a special night out!

We love this restaurant! We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Every dish is delicious and beautifully plated without being too fussy or pretentious. The service is fantastic and the servers are very knowledgeable about the food and wine. It’s expensive, as restaurants of this caliber are, but I would rather spend the money for what I know will be a memorable dining experience than spend thirty percent for a mediocre meal. Highly recommend!

Very good overall. Variety of pastas with traditional sauces was disappointing. My steak was great , but NOT the traditional bistecca ( ribeye) that you would expect. Good service but not our best Italian in Denver. Maybe overrated for the $$$$.

Outstanding on all accounts. We are not big wine drinkers so we imbibed in the Sweater Weather, Benny and the Nets and The Last Riff. Each drink was superb. We started with the Fritto misto, It was divine with the dill horseradish crema. I had the Crudo di ricciola. The amberjack melted in my mouth and the ponzu was amazing. The fresh made pasta is to die for. My husband had the Agnolotti con lavanda and he could have licked the plate! I had the Spaghetti alla puttanesca. The fennel crusted tuna, just perfectly cooked (10 seconds on each side) so it is cool with the warm red sauce was lovely. We ended our meal with a Torta di formaggio and split it because we were quite full. Our server was top notch and we were also treated with an Anniversary surprise. A fabulous all around experience!

Barolo does an outstanding job with excellent preparation, presentation and flavors. Very comfortable atmosphere, easy to converse with your tablemates, suitable lighting. The wine list will answer for whatever you desire. Our server was fantastic, took great care of us, and in my case chose my courses wisely. I just don’t think one can go wrong dining here. Each of us in our party opted for the 4-course tasting menu, which was a progressive experience with smaller portions, and the entire menu open from which to select each diner's meal. We each included the wine pairing option, which included different wines selected for each menu item. Our waitperson Emma was fabulous. Her assistance with one of our diner's food allergies was quite helpful. Her detailed description of each menu item added uncommon appreciation to our tasting experience. Emma provided elaborate details regarding each wine pairing, including how the wine and food were matched for flavor, aroma, texture, and balance, and the Italian regions and grape varieties from whence each wine came. Add Emma's sparkling personality to this occasion and we came away with a most memorable experience. On the expensive side, but worth every cent!

As always the service, wine and ambience were excellent. We were a little disappointed in the veal raviolis. The taste was excellent but the chef went overboard with the olive oil. The ravioli’s were just swimming in it.

This is my favorite restaurant in Denver and one of my top 10 in the world. Obviously, you go there for the food. The flavors, textures, and combinations of sensations surpass most dining experiences. But I have to say the service and experience also makes this place a stand out. We ate at the bar, our choice, and we had the good fortune of having the very knowledgeable and friendly bar tender/server, Storm, serve us. She is so enthusiastic and engaging and made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place.
