The duck breast was phenomenal; short ribs - as always - were delicious, as was the halibut. Chocolate crunch bar & salted caramel tart were mediocre. Peartinis, Fleur de Lis, and key lime & espresso martinis were excellent! Service was okay but not attentive enough. Suggest providing bigger water glasses as ours remained empty through most of the meal.

We enjoyed ourselves overall and found the garlic herb fries that came with my husband’s flat iron steak were exceptionally good. The arugula salad (with my steak) was very good. The service was excellent! Ambience was pleasant. The big disappointment was the jumbo lump crab spring roll. It failed to deliver the taste and texture expected from fresh jumbo lump crab. We enjoyed the crispy oyster appetizer although were surprised at the large amount of creamed spinach compared to the small amount of country ham hidden in the spinach. Our flat iron steaks were properly cooked but the flavor of the steak was overwhelmed by very tasty but very strong blue cheese. We love blue cheese but wished we could have tasted more beef! A milder blue cheese might have worked better. We were quite satisfied with our wines.

Bazins always makes for a perfect date night. Sea bass, short ribs, and flat iron are must tries, but you really can’t miss as the specials tempt you away from what you were craving to try again.

Generally a nice dinner out, but my hamburger was serially undercooked. I ordered it medium and I received it VERY rare. I asked for it to be redone and -- to the restaurant's credit, they replaced the burger rather than deconstructing and recooking. However the second attempt was decidedly medium rare. If the chef has a different standard for rare, medium, etc., it would be great to state this. In my world, medium is hot and pink, not red and cool and bloody.

Went for an anniversary dinner after not having been to Bazin's for several years. It is not as we remembered. The noise level was high, but worst of all was the food; overpriced and underwhelming. For example we had the burrata and tomato salad for an appetizer and it came with one sliced cherry tomato - yes, that's right - one tiny tomato. We couldn't believe it. The only thing that was still good at Bazin's was the wine. But we won't be going back any time soon, at least not for a special occasion. There are too many nice options in the Tyson's / Vienna area.

Nice wine selection and bar. Appetizers wavered between good and really good. Flatbread was lackluster but the short rib empanadas were excellent. Homemade ricotta with fig also excellent. Server was inexperienced but okay. Lovely ambiance and a neighborhood restaurant we will continue to support.

The service was courteous but not very attentive. The quality of meal presentation and gourmet level cooking was not as impressive as earlier available, during’ Basins’ pre-pandemic era. The overall dining experience was not commensurate with the significant prices being charged. I hope Bazins recovers it lost spirit charm in the near future. Fred V.

Food was delicious, menu creative, and waitstaff terrific-made good recommendations and was appropriately attentive. This was our first time back in several years-found restaurant very “loud” then and unfortunately that is unchanged. The noise level is distracting and it’s difficult to converse as a result. Tables/other diners are very close to one another and people talk loudly to be heard. Perhaps tablecloths or other fabric additions (window treatments?) would dampen some of the din.

It was good. I am disappointed that it was not made more clear that they charge a convenience fee, I'm assuming for credit cards. It was possibly in tiny font on the menu. I think OpenTable should put that in the confirmation text and emails so we know to bring cash.

The restaurant was extremely hot and the tables were so crowded the wait staff could barely get through. We arrived at 6:30 and the restaurant was very full, which would fine if the air conditioning was working. Food was good as always.

Our first time at Bazin's, and we had a great experience. The service was fantastic, and despite being very busy on a Saturday night, our food arrived quickly. It's an open dining area and was moderately loud, so maybe not ideal if you are looking to have an intimate conversation, but we didn't mind. Do yourself a favor and order the short-rib empanadas.

Nice atmosphere (unfortunately AC issues made it a little less comfortable). Overall good food and service. Drinks were excellent & apps were good (though the warmed spiced olives didn’t really have much spice). The crispy Branzino was very tasty (just could’ve use a lot more of the red pepper sauce). The risotto was very good and they were quick to suggest chicken as an option when we noted there was a shrimp allergy. We will go back.

Bazin's is my 'enhanced' GO-TO place. Excellent cuisine and cocktails with a solid wine selection, with a good value, very good service, and consistently great quality. I could probably eat there almost every weekend, with an extensive menu that has many strong options. Highly recommend.

I had better experience at this restaurant before as I have dined there many times. I suggest the restaurant spreads tables for 2 throughout the restaurant and not keep them all the way to the back which is dark with no view.

Incredible Anniversary dinner at Bazin’s. We enjoyed the service and ambiance, as well as the short rib empanadas, filet dinner, and flourless cake. The owner and chef visited our table to check on us and we had a lovely conversation. They took great care of us! Highly recommend for any occasion!

Bazin's is a welcoming, roomy dining place. We brought two friends with us, one of whom is a picky eater. Bazin's menu was perfect for all of us. Our server was friendly and helpful in ordering. We had tickets for a concert at nearby Jammin' Java and Bazin's responded well when we told them that we needed to be finished in time. I would definitely recommend Bazin's to a friend.
